It was another sunny morning when Auron woke up to the sounds of a cat trapped in a trunk. He got up slowly and walked to his trunk and opened to have a cat jump out. "...Really?" He said to himself watching his cat walk around happy to be free. "Don't get used to it you'll just trap yourself in there again at night." He didn't know why but shadow just seemed to knock closed the trunk while she slept inside of it. He slowly got changed and walked down to the common room. People studying and talking so he headed down to the great hall to get something to eat. As he ate he tried to think of something to do but just gave up and decided to go to the library again.
As he left the great hall he looked out one of the windows and saw it was still a sunny day which seemed to last forever despite the fact that Auron wished it wouldn't. He got to the library and there was a few people seating at different tables all doing homework. So he walked down one of the book rows looking for something to read till he saw a book which seemed to be the oldest around and the title seemed to have faded away. So he grabbed it and toke it to an open table and sat down reading it. Five minutes into reading it he felt something by his leg. He ignored it at first till it happened again. He looked down to see a black cat by his leg. "...I don’t think you’re allowed in here." He said slowly and quietly. Then it let out a loud meow. "...Yes great timing there." He mumbled to himself. "Sorry." he said out loud to the few people looking at him trying to get them to look away.

Marcy rubbed her eyes sleepily. She was no longer going to stay up till all hours of the night just so she could finish a book. It was a very stupid thing to do when you had classes the next day. It actually, made Marcy just feel like wearing her uniform all day instead of dressing in one of her wild outfits. Her hair was down and clipped back and she wore little make up as usual. Her WWW was off because the thought of music pounding in her ear gave her a head ache, which was a first. In fact, Marcy was having a huge head ache all day - so she decided to go the quietest place she could think of. The library. Marcy's rucksack banged against her side as she quickly made her way there. Hopefully there wouldn't be a huge group of students in there, chatting it away. Even whispers grew to be louder than that.
She pushed open the door to find that it was relatively empty, but that was when a meow was heard. Marcy's eyebrows rose as she turned to the direction it was coming from. There was a cat in the library? Oh, this she had to investigate. Marcy made her way over to the boy and looked down at him, before sliding into the seat across from him. "Are you aware, there is a cat underneath your table? I think," Marcy said in a whisper, leaning closer to him, "Madame Pince is allergic to cats."

Auron went back to reading, the book was very old indeed making the words faded and hard to read. On top of that it was in old English which Auron hated reading because it was hard to understand sometimes. Also he couldn't forget the fact that he had a full grown black cat under his chair which didn't help at all. Knowing shadows past history she wasn't going to leave anytime soon. He was just going to have to hope that no one has noticed her under his seat. After thinking that someone walked up to Auron and he looked down to the book. "Please be a student, please be a student." He thought right before he looked up to see a girl. "Finally some luck today." He thought to himself again.
As he looked up to her she asked if he knew there was a cat under his chair. Then she sat down a crossed from him and said that Madame Pince was allergic to cats. "Yes sadly I'm aware that she's under my chair. Makes me question why I even let her out of my trunk." He said in a low tune, not really meaning it even if he knew this would happen he still would have let her out. "So what brings you here to this particularly bad day? Well for me." He said looking down at the book to see if it had any page numbers he could remember but those had faded away so he just left it open. "Also I'm Auron." And with that shadow made a smaller meow this time so small only he and this girl could have heard it. "Please shh." He thought as he looked over at her.

She tilted her head at him, her eyes narrowed. "You really lock your cat in your trunk? I don't have a cat, but I don't think that if I did I would lock it in my trunk. I'm sure cats need to get out and live as well." Locking something in your trunk that was live? That was something Marcy couldn't quite understand. She had never had a pet, so she wasn't quite sure if locking them in things was usual - but people who did have pet usually let them roam free, even in the dormitories. Marcy sighed and shrugged it off before introducing herself, "I'm Marcy Fairfield, Gryffindor third. Of course, if you ask anyone else who I am they would say I belong in the first year dormitories. I apparently don't act my age." Which was true. She didn't act her age, but she didn't always act younger. There were times when she was very sophisticated.
"I'm just...trying to not be bored. I've had this huge headache all day and going into the common room doesn't seem to be appealing. So I came here, to this quiet place. But I wasn't expecting to find a cat meowing. What about you? Thought the library was a place for good luck?" She looked at the book that was open in front of him and smiled. It was faded, which means it was very old. The library was full of old books. Marcy came here often to get some books, but a lot of them were wizard ones and she perferred muggle books to anything. Kind of like her music. She perferred muggle to wizard. What kind of witch was she?

Auron saw the look on her face and knew what he had said must have made her confused or something like that. He always confused people or he was misunderstood a lot. Then he heard her talk about what he had said and now understood why she was confused. "No, no I don't lock her in the trunk. She just falls asleep in there and somehow knocks closed the trunk while she's in there." He said then looking down by his chair to just see a black tail. "I don't know how or why she does but I always have to open it and let her out." He said right before she introduced herself. Then she said something about how people say she doesn't act her age. "Well nice to meet you. And I'll have to keep that in mind." He said looking over at her again.
He looked down at his book again which he couldn't close because the numbers were gone and if he lost the page he would have to reread it till he got to the same page which he hated reading anything twice if he understood it once, It just seemed so pointless to do. Then Marcy explained why she had come down here and why she started talking to him. "Well I would tell to go see Madam Pomfrey but sometimes her cures are worse then the problem." He said thinking about the few times he went to her with a small pain or headache and she made him drink something awful. "Well I was bored, so I just thought I would come down here and read the oldest book I could find and here it is." He said hearing another very small meow. "Well maybe it is a place for good luck but having a cat under your chair that’s not going to leave isn't that lucky but it could be worse." he said looking down at the cat again.

Marcy breathed a sigh of relief when he explained what he meant by the cat getting locked in the trunk. Her smile slipped on her face like butter and she put her chin on her hands which were on the table. "Well, that's good. It's not exactly a nice thing to do, locking your cat in your trunk. Although, I suppose if you had a younger sibling maybe. But - wait - do you have a younger sibling? Cos if you do, then don't lock them in a trunk, that would be mean too. In fact, I wouldn't lock anyone or thing in a trunk... cos that's just horrid." When he said it was nice to meet her, Marcy lifted her head and grinned wider, "You don't know that yet." She told him. She did a quick gesture with her hand, as if brushing it aside, "I mean, you haven't actually gotten to know me. I could annoy you, or just... well, annoy you. I tend to annoy a lot of people."
He seemed to be wanting to close the book, but it had no page numbers. Marcy reached into her rucksack and pulled out a roll of parchment, quickly she ripped a piece off and slipped it into the book Auron was looking at; "Bookmarks, although muggle, are a marvelous invention. Especially if books don't have page numbers. Just a random piece of paper would work well, doesn't have to be fancy - though if you get bored in classes you can doodle... doodling's fun." She put the rest of her parchment in her bag and then sat back in the chair, causing the front legs to go up. She listened to him continue to talk about Madame Pomfrey and her cures, without saying a word she shuddered and crossed her arms. He was right about that one.
"Oh, oldest book, eh? Well that explains the worn away page numbers. But what about the words? Can you actually read it? Or are those faded as well?" She peered over, and shrugged. He then stated having a cat under your chair might not be too lucky and she grinned at him; "You supersitious?"
