“Foxy You know you’re a cute little heartbreaker Foxy You know you’re a sweet little lovemaker Foxy
I wanna take you home I won’t do you no harm, no You’ve got to be all mine, all mine Ooh, foxy lady
I see you, heh, on down on the scene Foxy You make me wanna get up and scream Foxy Ah, baby listen now I’ve made up my mind I’m tired of wasting all my precious time You’ve got to be all mine, all mine Foxy lady Here I come
I’m gonna take you home I won’t do you no harm, no You’ve got to be all mine, all mine
Here I come I’m comin’ to get ya Foxy lady You look so good Yeah, foxy Yeah, give us some Foxy Yeah, get it, babe You make me feel like Feel like sayin’ foxy Foxy Foxy lady Foxy lady.”The sound reached one’s ears before the boy singing the Jimi Hendrix tune ever came into view from around the corner. Really now the song was fantastic! It had a beat to it and the words were enough to make anyone swoon. Dare winked at a small 3rd year Ravenclaw girl as he passed her. Too young and far to innocent for him to pursue as the girls eyes widened as she dashed down the hallway with a furious blush displayed on her cheeks. Cute chica though. Scratching his eyebrow lazily Dare continued his walk down the hallways. Where was he headed? Nowhere. Who was he looking for? No one special really. Just some foxy lady to make the day go on quicker and brighten the dim hallways of Hogwarts. The old castle was filled with the most amazing females and Dare would have been more than happy to make each and every one of them feel very special. Dare glanced outside for a moment playing idly with the thought of grabbing an umbrella and going to save some poor mistress in distress. But then again maybe he would find someone to warm up his lonely heart right here in the castle first. Not that Dare was actually feeling cold despite the short-sleeved khaki blouse he was wearing. Even the blouse had only a few buttons closed randomly up to his mid-chest in a carelessly casual way as the tight stonewash jeans brought out his long legs. He hadn’t bothered combing his hair this morning yet. Hey if girls liked the messy just got up look then who was Dare to deny them of such a view? Dare’s eyes concentrated on the rather lovely figure of a girl as Dare quickly assessed her. 4th year, Hufflepuff and no wedding ring around her finger. That meant that she was free ground for him. Changing his route immediately Dare positioned himself in the way of the girl despite the whole hallway was empty besides them. It was rather early after all so most people were at breakfast. Tripping the girl Dare caught her securely in his arms as he held her in a half-dipped position and smiled singing out the last lines of the song “Foxy Lady” loudly. “Why hello dear, sweetheart. Hurrying somewhere only to leave my poor heart that you so suddenly entered throbbing on the ground?” Dare asked with a charming smile form the girl being held in his arms. ((Don't get mad at him but you will have your hands full with him)) [glow=red,2,300]1st post![/glow]

Solitaire had been awake since sometime before daylight. She had been unable to sleep the night before, and after numerous attempts at sleep, she had finally given up. She left the dorm room so she wouldn't disturb the others who were sleeping well. She had decided that the time would be well spent in the Common Room practicing her charms that she had recently learned. She sat there for quiet a while working on charms. She was just about to begin practicing a brand new charm that she had read in a book, when she noticed that everyone was starting to wake up and leave their dorms. They were walking right past her, as if they didn't notice and Taire knew that they must have been headed for breakfast, but she wasn't hungry enough to eat just yet.
After what Taire assumed to be at least a half an hour, she decided to go for a walk through the corridors of the castle. She knew that almost everyone would still be at breakfast and that would leave the corridors almost completely empty. Running up to her dorm, and taking a few moments to change from her soft green velvet pajamas, and into her school uniform, which seemed to fit her well, She grabbed her cloak just in case she wanted to detour outside. Taire headed back down to the common room, and then out into the corridors of the castle.
Walking through the spacious castle corridors, Taire saw few people. As she continued, she noticed a small growl coming from her stomach, turning on the ball of her heel, she headed toward the Great Hall only to get a muffin, and continue walking while enjoying it. As she continued on her path, she heard a male voice singing a weird song. Taire thought it to be a muggle song, for she was sure she had never heard it before now. Continuing along, she saw the owner of the sweet voice that she had previously heard, a cute older Gryffindor. Taire had her school uniform on, so she was sure he already knew what house she was in. He couldn't be much older than her, from Taire's point of view. She could have been wrong though. As she started walking, she noticed that she and the cute boy were on the same path, but going different directions. As she and the boy met, Taire suddenly tripped. Reaching for something that would give her the opportunity of not looking like a complete geek, and catching her fall, she felt herself being caught in someone's arms. Looking up, she discovered that the one she had been caught by was the cute boy whom had been singing that unusual song. Wondering, only because of the boy's quickness and perfect positioning, if he hadn't been the reason and cause for her stumbling. In no hurry to escape the boy's arms, Taire looked up at him smiling. Replying to his question, Taire sweetly commented, " I was in no hurry, nor was I headed anywhere that I wouldn't mind a handsome escort. I was going to get a muffin before the house-elves clear everything from the great hall, and to continue my walk through these amazing corridors. Nor would I ever want to leave your heart just throbbing on the ground." Taire realized that she was being uncharacteristically flirty, but everyone enjoyed flirting at some point, and the boy certainly was cute enough to be flirted with. "I'm Solitaire, but my friends call me Taire, as so can you. And other than just amazing cute, you are?" Taire wondered if the boy's name matched his amazing looks.

Dare wondered about what the girls reaction would be. Some girls would blush, some would do anything they could to get away from him trying to prove their independence. Some would giggle and flirt shamelessly while some would run off to a bunch of their girlfriends where every word smile and every small move would be thoroughly analyzed. This girl smiled back but seemed rather unfazed which as Dare had to admit was a rather pleasant surprise. Taking a step back Dare bowed and gallantly held out his arm to the girl. “Then let me accompany you m’lady in your search for a muffin.” Actually Dare thought with a smile that the girl had rather called him handsome, escort and amazingly cute in 3 sentences. Now this was a new twist of things to Dare but he would give his bet to rise to the occasion.
“Taire. What a poetic name. Soft as the summer breeze on a warm night as you walk with your loved on a sandy beach. Sigh of a lover as she gazes at the moon and so uplifting. Yet it has the strength of a snowstorm in it able to remove all obstacles from it’s way. I think it has a lot of you in it.” Dare smiled charmingly at Taire as he made sure to let her set the pace at which she wanted to walk and the direction. You could get muffins from either the breakfast tables at the Great Hall or from the kitchens which might be a lot emptier and therefore more intimate. Yet the girl didn’t seem to be someone you’d run into just anywhere so Dare smiled and watched his words and moves.
“Amazingly cute? I’m afraid you’re sorely mistaken however glad I am that your blue eyes enchanted with the swirls of misty grey smiled upon myself. Yet I’m merely poor old Dare at your service now and forever.” Dare let his fingers linger on Taire’s moment for a moment as he gently placed a strand of long silky curls behind her ear. A purely flirty move done too quickly to be noticed. Subtetly. Subtetly, patience and a simple conversations was what did the trick Dare reminded himself as he let his hand drop from Taire’s cheek once again having only one brushed the smooth skin with his finger-tips. “But I’m afraid we already have encountered a problem. It’s the first time when I can properly admire your beauty up front and you have already woven your spell around my heart ensnaring it to be yours.”

Solitaire couldn't help but to look into the boy's deep blue eyes, wondering if he was just a flirt or if he really thought she was as pretty as he was acting like. Taire had never really thought of herself as pretty, even though her securities never let her show such feelings. She was happy with the way she looked even if she didn't consider herself pretty. Giggling slightly as the boy bowed to her, Taire realized that she enjoyed it.
As the boy offered to escort her in her quest for a muffin, Taire couldn't help but to realize that she liked the whole princess treatment. Being sorted the way she had been, her princess treatment at home had ceased to exist. Her parents were still very unhappy about her sorting even though it had been four years, and Taire was starting to get used to the fact that she was a hufflepuff. She still felt that she would have fitted into Slytherin, but the Sorting Hat thought her better placed where she was.
Taire giggled once again when the boy commented about her name being poetic. She had never really thought about it that way. This boy seemed familiar, but Taire was sure that he had came right out of some fairy tell book. He seemed too polite. Taire wasn't used to guys being polite to her, she had never really been the type to attract the boys. Her best friend had even felt bad because she had not been able to get a date to the Halloween Ball. Taire had truly been a little depressed, but she didn't let it show.
Heading in the direction of the kitchens, which seemed like the best place to go, since she now had some company. Solitaire listened as the boy introduced himself. "I hate to differ, for I am never mistaken when I think a boy is cute." Solitaire repeated the boy's name, "Dare, a name fitting of someone so amazing looking." Taire was quiet enjoying the flirting that she was doing. She knew that nothing more than a friendship would become of it, but at least it was some kind of a relationship with a boy. Taire looked at Dare in awe as he claimed that she had already ensnared his heart. "We haven't even gotten to know each other, there for how can you be sure that it is I who have captured your heart, and not the other way around." Taire knew to keep her heart safe, and to not let this flirty boy touch it. She did not want to be heart broken by something that had never truly happened.
((Taire's still flirting, but she's being cautious. ))

Dare smiled brightly at the sound of Taire giggling. Flirting and dealing with girls was all about feeling. You could never plan anything ahead and you had to go off the expressions and feelings of the girl if you wanted both her and you to be happy. It was something that had to come naturally to you as you listened to your instincts. “You flatter me vixen.” Dare commented quietly his hand easily raising to mess up Taire’s hair jokingly as Taire had shied away form his previous touch. He never knew the names of others yet somehow he always managed to recall the other person’s hobbies and the nicknames he called people always came easily. Vixen would be reserved only for Taire as the word had slipped over his lips naturally and it sounded so right. Dare went along with the simple flirting letting the vixen by his side dictate the tempo at which they walked and at which their flirting moved on.
“But who am I to argue with your opinion especially if the shield over your eyes when it comes to my appearance helps me spend more time in your charming company?” Dare smiled and let his hand drop from Taire’s curly hair taking hold of her hand instead raising it to his lips for a moment before letting their united hands drop again as they walked through the hallways of Hogwarts as Taire directed them towards the kitchens. “Oh, I am sure. Why would a lady give her heart for me to cherish? Yet you have already thrown my own into your collection. I can only talk for myself and it’s the things I do know that can I talk about. And I do know that you made my heart jump.” Dare smiled and twirled Taire under his arm grinning widely at the girl. “It’s unfair. Such beauty hidden in the Hufflepuff house while I can’t gaze at you lovingly in the Hufflepuff common room.”

Taire listened as the boy began to speak again but this time he had called her Vixen. She oddly liked the way it sounded coming from his lips.Be still my heart, for we cannot let this adonis's beautiful words touch us so deeply until we know if the are just flirtatious jesters or meaningful poses. She thought to herself as she felt her heart flutter a little. Taire knew that no matter how much she flirted with teh boy now known as Dare, that she could not let her feelings get in the way. She didn't mind the playfulness that the boy had added to his flirting, mainly because in Solitaire's reality, her life had matched the true meaning of her name, Lonely. She had not even one friend before her sorting ceremony at Hogwarts, and now her friend was usually too busy to spend any time with her.
“No shields over my eyes, Sir Dare. I only see people for who they are, and you are truly stunning. It is I whom should consider myself lucky that you would grace me with such an escort.” Taire spoke softly when she took time to do anything more than a giggle. She had a powerful voice normally, but was afraid using her other tone of voice would frighten off a potential friend. Taire enjoyed the attention that she was getting for she rarely received any attention at home or even now at school.
Dare seemed so sure that Taire had captured his heart. Taire was unsure of his feelings, for she had not brought herself to look in his eyes for more than a few seconds, but she did know that his sweet words were breaking down the wall she had built around her own heart. Taire felt a little less secure knowing this though, she didn’t show it. Blushing as Dare united their hands, and kissed her’s ever so softly, Taire no longer tried to fight, and allowed herself to melt for him. Her brain continued to try and keep its senses, but her heart could no longer.
She let go of another radiant smile and giggle just as Dare twirled her around. She truly felt like someone thought she was amazing. She felt as if he truly cared for her. “I will no longer try to stay hidden in the corners, and in the Common Room. And I feel it will be me constantly looking at you, my Prince.” Taire had called Dare a prince long before she realized what she was doing, but it seemed right, it even felt right, so she dared not to take it back, just softly blushed again.
Solitaire felt like she was floating. She also noticed that their hands were still entwined as they entered the kitchens in her quest for a muffin. Taire was no longer hungry though. She felt as if a void had been filled. She let out a dreamy sigh, for her feelings right then felt nice, and just right, like everything was as fate had wanted it.
((If you want me to change anything let me know. Taire is letting her emotions get involved, not sure if it's the right thing for her to do, but you know.))

Dare tensed just a little as he eyed Taire and anaylzed her behaviour. She was a pretty girl, there was no denying that. Certainly she could always be even more prettier, but who wanted someone perfect? You had to love others for their mistakes. Besides if someone was perfect, then why would she need anyone else by his side to finish, complete and advance herself? Yet the way Taire was acting it was almost as if she was a stranger to these casual flirting games. Was she one of those girls who were yet to be discovered and therefore didn’t have too much self-confidence and were a bit wall-flowerish? Not understand that the so-called wallflowers were the very girls that deserved the most in the end. Maybe it was the case. He would have to see her for a litlte longer before deciding in the end but Dare silently decided to do his best as to not hurt her heart.
„Not one drop of noble blood in me I must say. So the title ’Sir’ you so generously granted me is not truthful I must fearfully admit. But if you wish to imagine me as someone worthy and stunning, then who am I to argue? I will just have to thnk whatever angel smiled upon me for letting you believe that.“ Dare smiled back at Taire as she laughed after her twirl and coming to a stop opened the kitchen door after tickling the pear. Taking a step back Dare waited calmly while Taire stepped into the kitchens before her. His hand falling onto Taire’s back Dare nudged her a bit forward as he stepped in himself as well closing the door behind him with a small click. „Muffins. And hot chocolate for me.“ Dare smiled at the numerous houseelves who squeaked thier agreement after hearing the orer and hurried somewhere to presumably get the things while Dar enudged Taire forward yet again steering her towards a big and rather comfortable looking couch that presented the view to the backyard of the school as well as a fireplace.
Sitting down on the couch with a deep sigh Dare snuggled comfortably into the couch reaching his legs out as long as they were preparing himself to be comfortable. „I like kitchens. They always remind me of a mother. It’s just the smell and the knowledge that there might be something sweet baking behind one of those numerous doors in someway it just comforts much like a mother’s tender pat would. And I’m glad. Glad to hear you will let people actually marvel your own personality. And I will be around whenever you need. It would be wholly purely my pleasure, vixen.“ Dare grinned at Taire and patted the couch in an invitation for her to settle down comfortably as well.

Solitaire had never really been in the kitchens before, although she did know the location of the entrance. Walking all the way into the kitchens with Dare was almost as if walking into a new community. She couldn't believe that there were so many house elves in there. She looked around in awe, the kitchens were marvelous, and Taire couldn't think of a better word to describe them. "You know, I have never fully been inside the kitchens and they are just marvelous.
Taire felt a slight nudge on her back, and moved along where ever Dare was taking her, allowing herself to be directed somewhere she was unsure of. Taire trusted Dare, and she hoped that it was not wrongly placed trust. She didn't really have many friends, and didn't like to admit it but she was a bit of a wallflower. Moving over to the couch, where Dare had guided her, she watched as he sat down, and explained about his love for kitchens. "I can't say that kitchens remind me of my mother. She doesn't cook. They would more remind me of my father, or the house elf Thane. Even for an elf, her cooking always smells delicious." Taire wasn't one to be ashamed of the fact that she had a house elf at home, even though her mother was really the only one whom treated Thane unfairly. Looking around at the house elves in the kitchens now, she wondered if they were treated fairly, but then she shook the thought from her mind. She knew that Professor Dumbledore would never allow the house elves to be treated poorly, and couldn’t believe she had even thought such a terrible thought.
Sitting where Dare had patted, she tried her best to make herself comfortable. She began to stare out the window, and thinking of how perfect the day appeared to be. She was glad that the day had taken shape the way it had, it was nice outside, and she had made a friend. She was no longer a complete loner; she would have someone she could talk to. Glancing at Dare, she smiled, there wasn’t much that she wanted to say.

Dare smiled humming the melody of Foxy lady under his breath for just a moment his eyes twinkling towards Taire. “I’m glad I could be the one to introduce it to you then. As I said I like the kitchens. The light of my life, also known as my mother, loves to cook. And I love being in her way when I’m at home. I always get to sample everything she cooks which now that I think of it is both good and bad. Mom likes to experiment with new recipes from time to time and those recipes aren’t always the greatest.” Dare smiled and leaned back against both the armrest and the backrest so he was partially facing Taire as the girl chose a seat next to him.
“I sometimes wonder what it must feel like to be an house-elf. I have one back at home myself too as all of us hate to clean. But the way they seem to handle everything is just amazing. Sometimes I wish I could appear to be in two or three places at once two. Let’s say that one of me would be out on the sea with our yacht, one sitting in classes or doing homework and one sleeping under an apple-tree. Marvelous life, wouldn’t it be? What would you like to do if there were three of you, vixen?” Dare asked with a smile as he toes off his shoes and reached his legs and crossed them at ankles on a small foot-rest wriggling his toes for a moment. Dare was wearing black toe-socks with a white smilie-face on top of each toe so it did look quite humorous.
Dare turned and observed Taire curiously as she gazed out of the window. She seemed almost pensive. Dare admired almost absent-mindedly the way sunrays coming in from the window brought out her smooth cheek-line. Dare looked at it almost form the eyes of a professional as he reached into the chest-pocket of his shirt. Digging out a coin from it Dare laid it on his palm and reached it out for Taire to take. “A coin for your thoughts, vixen. I know they are worth more than fortunes, but this isn’t a regular coin either. It’s a wishing coin. You make a wish and call heads and then you toss the coin. When heads come you can fulfill your wish.” Dare winked and flipped the other side of the coin upwards so that Taire could see that heads were present on both sides. “A bit of that good ole’ Irish luck. Will this work as payment for a peek into that pretty head of yours?”

Solitaire continued to stare out the window, intrigued, not only by Dare’s words but also by the view of the outdoors. She hadn’t realized how much was truly on her mind. All at once, she was thinking of the way house-elves usually get treated, what it would be like to be a house-elf, and her own mixed emotions about other things. She glanced over at Dare, somewhat glad to be sitting beside him, so that he couldn’t look into her eyes. Taire had lovely eyes, but she hated them for they always gave away what was on her mind. She wasn’t ready for Dare to know that he was the first in the school, other than her friend Cass that had paid her any type of attention. Well, there was the little run in with a fourth year Slytherin at the Halloween party, but she didn’t count that, for that wasn’t what she had considered a good experience. Dare was the first, even out of all the students in her own house, that seemed to want to have anything to do with her. This shamed Taire. She was usually more outspoken that she had been the past four years of her school. She was afraid that all of those feelings would show if she looked Dare directly in the eyes, and she just wasn’t ready for him to see how she felt in the darkest part of her mind. “I’m not sure I would want to be a house-elf, but I wouldn’t mind there being more than one of me. I could be outside, and in the classroom at the same time. That would be very useful.” Taire giggled slightly as she saw Dare’s socks. She couldn’t help it, but they were very becoming. “Comfy much?” She asked in her giggle.
Taire turned her gaze back out to the window. She just couldn’t help it. She knew that if she was staring out the window there wasn’t anything that could be noticed, except for her pensive expression. The sunlight warmed her heart, she hadn’t felt this way since leaving her aunt’s home over the summer. Taire and her aunt got along very well, since she had been placed in Hufflepuff as well. Taire unfortunately no longer got along with her parents because of the sorting, but Taire didn’t mind much anymore. She had come to see that not all muggle born and half bloods were as horrible as her parents had made them out to be. “I was just thinking about everything. Life, my parents, friends, lack there of.” Solitaire wasn’t sure what she could mention without giving her feelings away. She was starting to kind of like Dare, but in a way that she couldn’t admit too. He was a wonderful friend, and Taire almost couldn’t help herself from liking him more. He was sweet, but obviously the type to flirt with anyone. That didn’t bother her much though; she had been that way before coming to Hogwarts. She hoped that Dare didn’t hear the tremble in her voice as she mentioned what she had been thinking of. She felt as if she talked about her lack of friends then she would bust out in tears. She also didn’t want Dare to think that she was clingy or that there was something wrong with her. She was normal, she didn’t cling to anyone, but nor did she like to be alone. “It’s just, well.. to be honest, other than my friend Cass, you are the only one whom has cared to offer me a kind word.” Taire choked up a little as she spoke. She didn’t open up so easily to others, but she felt that it was alright to open up to Dare. She almost completely trusted him.
