The rain pored down fast. It just kept coming and coming like it would never end. The early morning promised no happy sunny day as Jamison would like. The day was just another one of those signs. The ind of sign that says nothing good is bound to happen for awhile. Jamison hated that sort of thing and wished that bad signs didn't exist. But, making something like that go away was impossible. Jamison lay asleep in his bed, not yet aware of the day. It was only four o'clock in the morning and he was not ready to get up. However, the rain kept pounding and created a loud clanging noise against his window. The noise whispered through the trees, through the glass, and into Jamison's ears. It was such an unpleasant sound that gushed around the dorm. Jamison could hear it and stirred a bit. His eyes slowly opened bringing his mind to reality. He could now see the ugly Saturday that surrounded him and felt a sharp pain in his stomach. It was just a pain of sadness as the day would be that way. Rainy days reminded Jamison of his parents always. Those days dripped of the same essence as the day Jamison's parents were murdered. They were so much alike and that made Jamison disgusted. His slowly tilted his head up and sat up in his bed. There was no way he could sleep now.
Jamison sat staring at the rain that continued to pound. He waited that way for awhile staring at it and thinking. Rain brought up too many memories for him. Too many bad ones. The day his parents were murdered was rainy and their funeral was quite the same. Those days were wet outside and indoors. The house was fludded with tears from his family and Jamison just held them in like an idiot. I was just a four year old. He thought silently. I should have cried. But, that as he continued to remember those two days, he realized a few things. He had been handed Wendi both of those days. She was only a year old, but seemed to know something terrible was happening. He face was pale and not smiling. She looked like a baby doll and not a human. Wendi didn't cry either, but just made Jamison feel horrible inside. Is that why I couldn't cry? He thought to himself. Because of my baby sister? Wendi was the exact reason. Jamison had always shielded his emotions from her along with his true feelings. She was too young and Jamison just wanted her to be an innocent child forever.
More than an hour past as Jamison thought. It became tiring after a while and Jamison could bear it no longer. He quickly stood up quietly not wanting it wake his room mates and hear their questions. He walked over and grabbed his Ravenclaw cloak. Jamison slipped it over his arms letting the warm fabric fall over him. He then pushed his feet into his sneakers not caring how silly it looked. Jamison picked up his wand and left his dorm. "Lumos." He summoned as soon as the door closed. Jamison made his way out of the boys dorms and through the common room. After leaving, Jamison silently walked through the halls with his wand in hand. Each window he passed made him a bit depressed. It was about the time that light should appear, but still the water came and the wind wailed. He walked farther and farther making his way to the Great Hall. There was a window near it that Jamison had stood by several times since his first year. Somehow he always thought there and it seemed like a prefect place to be. Finally reaching it, Jamison smiled staring out towards the ground, but he just found himself thinking again. He was in such deep thought that he didn' hear some one behind him.
