Bailey Diego sat up straight, her legs crossed, leaning over a potions book in the library early on a Saturday morning. She was studying, as she always did, trying to improve her already excellent marks. But today, Bailey's eyes scanned the page before her lazily as she stifled a wide yawn. This was getting rather boring. She had been at it for a whole hour and a half, and there was only so much school work she could take all at once. She stood up from her seat and smoothed out her green and black short skirt. Along with the skirt that day, she wore a black tank top and her Slytherin robes to keep warm. Her beautiful silky reddish brown hair fell straight past her shoulders, perfect as always. Bailey was one of the few people blessed with flawless good looks, which she fully took advantage of. Well, as far as her good looks would take her anyway. Bailey knew that in life you must count your blessings and not rely to much on what you already have. No one could get by on just pure beauty and money, which both she had. Which was why she spent every ounce of her time studying and practicing spells to perfection. She knew she had skill, and she could base that fact on all of the hard work and effort she had put in to maintain that status. Bailey scanned the library for a familiar face, but found no one to talk to. So she just pulled out a quill, a bottle of ink, and a peice of parchament, and began writing her Potions essay that was not due untill next week.

Jessica woke up early Saturday morning and groaned inwardly as she remembered that she had forgotten about her homework that was due on Monday. She never waited until Sunday to do her homework. As she reluctantly got out of bed and took a shower she decided that the easiest place to do her homework was in the library. When she finally was out of the shower and dressed she grabbed her bag and heeded to the library. On her way she noticed that there were very few people in the halls but didn't think anything of it. When she had got to the library she saw a girl about her age sitting at an empty table writing vigorously on a piece of parchment. Jessica walked over to the girl and asked in her nicest tone "mind if i join you?"

Bailely looked up from her essay irritably. She had just been interupted and she hated to be interupted when she was working. It caused her to lose her train of thought, and that just wouldnt do. But today, she hadnt been so keen on writing her damn essay anyway, so she decided to let the girl sit. "If you must." answered Bailey casually. "So what year are you in?" She asked interestedly, twirling a strand of her hair. She didnt bother to ask what house. She didnt want to know just yet... "Im Bailely."

Jessica noticed that the girl want that happy looking when she asked her but as she was about to walk away when she replied saying she could sit and asking what year she was in. I'm Jessica, Jessica Rose she said as she sat down. I'm in my third year here. So.... Jessica says I see i am not the only one that does not wait until Sunday to do homework in this school. She stopped talking for a moment to pull out her Defense against the dark arts book along with a piece of parchment ink and a quill. As she did so a piece of her long cherry blonde hair fell in her eyes. why cant I ever remember to bring a hair tie Jessica mumbled to herself. She almost never left it down and it irritated her when it was down. What grade are you in she asked looking just as interested as Baily did when she asked her.

Bailely watched the girl closely as she sat down beside her, almost a little reluctantly. "I'm in my thrid year as well." She told her proudly as she pulled out her Defense Against the Dark Arts book. "And no, it's not homework that I'm doing. Well, it is, but its not due untill next Monday. I like to keep on top of things." Bailey said conversationally in a bit of a bragging tone. The girls bloody long hair kept falling into her eyes as she spoke and Bails could tell it was irritating to her, not to mention it was irritating Bailely. "Here." She carelessly tossed a green hair tie at Jessica that had been around her wrist. She never put her hair up. It looked just too good down to do so. "You can keep it." She didnt want it back if the girl had lice or something. Or if she was a mudblood. ewk.

As Jessica pushed her hair out of her face for the 5th time in a row the girl named Baily gave her a rubber band. Thanks Jessica replied. Its nice to finally meet someone that cares about there school work in the same year as me for once! Jessica said as she wrote down Defense Against the Dark Arts on the top of her parchment. I wounder what house this girl is in Jessica thought to herself, I don't think this girl is in Slytherin she is too polite. Maybe she is in Ravenclaw she defiantly had the brains. So...jessica said, she wasn't the best conversation starter what assignment are you working on?

"Well of course I care about my schoolwork, but it does get a bit tiring after a while. Especially Care of Magical Creatures." She shook her head in disgust. "More like boring. I'm sure it could be interesting, but I hate learning about flobberworms when I could be doing much more important things." Time was very important to Bailely. Time equaled success and success meant money. Not that she needed anymore of it, but that was all her parents. She wanted to make for herself in life, not live off of her parents millions. She hated to be dependent off of anyone. The only person she could ever trust with her life was Paige, her best friend. "I'm not working on any assignment, just reading. I think its quite interesting, this text book." She was growing bored now with this girl and decided that she must be a Hufflepuff. Or a Gryffindor. Now Bailely had met a few decent folks from each of those houses, which was why she hadnt been so quick to ask which Jessica belonged to. But in general, most Gryffindors annoyed her with their boastful courage and their assurance that they were the best. That they could conquer anything just because the stupid sorting hat claimed they were the bravest. But it was obvious that the hat was wrong, Slytherins were brave as well, they just knew it was more important to save your own skin than risk it defending someone else. And Hufflepuffs, Hufflepuffs were just plain scum. Good for nothing, and stupid. Pretty much Gryffindor wannabees.

Jessica listened as bailely went on and on about school work and classes and became bored with the conversation. Trying not to be rude she listened and nodded her head but she really wanted to leave and go talk to someone else that had a bit more to talk about than school work. She cares about her school work and all but not as much as this girl did. Bailely talked like she was almost seemed as though she was obsessed. Pulling her head out of the clouds Jessica looked at the girl and decided she should ask what house she was in because she did not want to be caught talking to a slytherin. When she thought about it this girl looked like she was a Slytherin with her green and black skirt and shirt. She didn't act as rude as the other slytherins though so she might not be Slytherin and yet she is not a hufflepuff because of her way of talking about school work she must be a ravenclaw decided Jessica.

Bailely raised a perfectly shaped eyebrow at the girl as she sighed and looked around and acted as if she was bored with the conversation. Bailely had much better things to do than try and entertain a filthy little mudblood Gryffindor or some stupid Hufflepuff. She began collecting her books and shoving them into her bag. "Well, it was quite interesting talking to you," Bailely said sarcastically, "but now I must go for I have better things to attend to." She gave the girl an icy little smile and turned on her heel to leave and find someone who was worth her time to spend the afternoon with. ((sorry bails is so mean, hence she is a slytherin. lol, but no hard feelings between us i hope! )
