Blake left the common room around 9 at night, most of the other students were already inside the common and the few that were still out had started heading to they're common rooms. Blake walked down a few staircases then down a few halls and before he knew it he reached a dead end. Portraits were all over the walls most were empty and Blake looked closely at a few. "Where the hell do they go when no one is around?" He asked himself thinking about it. He started walking till he reached a few doors in the hallway. He opened the first door and it was full of dust and desks. Blake kept walking his head down looking at his feet as he walked. He didn't look up at all so he didn't know where his feet where going and he hoped he wouldn't hit a wall or worse a professor.
Blake didn't know why he left the common room in the first place, he just didn't feel like being in there right now. Maybe it was because every Gryffindor first year was trying new spells and being in there with them was getting annoying. They didn't hurt but it just got to a point where your shirt has been turned pink to many times. As he kept walking he knew what the real reason was, his grandma had been sending weird letters lately. She normally sent odd letters but these ones had been creeping him out some about a death eater at the door trying to sell cookies to them which was more then likely a Muggle girl scout. Blake was going to have to seen if he could get her to go to St. Mungos for some help.
Blake then looked up and didn't know where he was at first. He then heard the sounds of footsteps but they weren't Filch's his foot steps where more like someone dragging they're feet. Blake was about to hide but the figure of a student appeared to be the source of the footsteps Blake almost burst out laughing but didn't he didn't want to get the attention of any professor or Filch. "Jeez you almost scared me to death." He said out loud but only loud enough for the person to hear him.

Monica’s footsteps echoed on stone as she walked slightly down the abandoned corridor. Or did they? She stopped, and thought she heard footsteps continuing in front of her, for longer than an echo ought to last. She starined her eyes, to what was in front of her, but saw no one in the dim light from her wand. Monica began walking again, and heard the same indistinct sound of footfalls. She had the creepy feeling that she was not listening to an echo. She stopped again and listened. The footsteps also stopped.
Monica stepped toward Blake his, face masked by the darkness while the dim light reflected clearly off her wand, giving away her identity to any that knew the fourth year. A stranger to the school wouldn't recognize her in the least, as that's all the Gryffindor could assume she was a Slytherin, not recognizing the boy herself. That was something that needed to be cleared up real quick.
"Just who do you think you are?" Monica asked him, failing to provide pretense for her apparent hostility toward a boy she'd never seen before that night. It wasn't necessary, as informal as their encounter would be, for she would extract what information she was after and teach the fellow an important lesson on who was and who wasn't allowed anywhere near her.

Blake stood there as she got closer to him then he looked down at her shirt and saw a Slytherin emblem then just thought to himself. "Well my day is just full of luck isn't." He thought to himself laughing inside. Blake was still a little surprised from the tone of her voice and they way she asked. "Well what did I really expect, a nice greeting." He thought to himself again. "Well I think I'm Blake and I'm just walking the halls." He said smiling thinking if she would get any madder from the way he answered but he didn't really care if she did. As long as she didn't yell at him getting any professors to come by he was fine.
"Well I told you who I am, so who are you?" He said looking at her thinking about how she would she answer his question. He hoped she wouldn't go to crazy on him or something like that.

Monica looked at Blake when he answered her question ahe raised her eyebrows when he asked her what her name was. "why have the sudden interest in me?" she asked in the same kind of toned voice. She put a smirk on her face being surprised that he had been wondering the castle late at night. 'He's lost' she thought she then said to him "I'm a slytherin fourth year. My name is monica and I don't get along with much people." she finished with her face wondering in surprise to what he was thinking at the moment. She then held her wand towards his face to actually see what he looked like since it seemed the darkness had swallowed his appearence. He was just a normal type of boy looking and nothing to her extent made her get some interest. She then moved her wand back near herself and gripped it tightly, not wanting to drop it what so ever. She looked at the boy waiting for a reply.

Blake kept looking at her as she started to answer her question which at first she didn't answer but just asked him why he was so interested in her. He didn't know how that seemed he just thought it would be nice to know her name. Then she said her name was Monica and she also said she didn't get alone with a lot of people.” I wonder why?" He said mumbled to himself a little. As he thought about it maybe she was just having a bad day or she could just normally be like this. Then out of nowhere she moved her wand close to his face. He felt almost blinded by the light and after she moved the wand away it toke a few minutes for his eyes to adjust again to the darkness. "Well thanks I've always wanted to not see anything for a few minutes." He said kind of smiling but it was a little annoying. "So what was that for anyway?" He said finally being able to see again.

“WHAT!!” Monica yelled when the boy mumbled under his voice. “If you have anything to say speak louder. I thought Gryffindors were suppose to have bravery!!” she said with a smirk. She then listened to this boy who asked what was shining light in his eyes for. "Nothing" Monica answered to the boy so called Blake. She stared at hi and then asked “where are you off to such at a late time?" she asked. Monica surly was wondering the castle hoping to get a glimpse into the requirement room. She then looked at the direction to where she thought the boy was standing and then asked, “If you’re that bored just looking at the paintings, why won’t you walk with me? Possibly it might be easier.” She finished her question with a yawn. Monica stretched a bit and then looked back at the Gryffindor wondering what kind of personality he had.

Blake just laughed a second when she yelled then looked around. "Well I was just agreeing with you I can see how you might not get along with a lot of people." He said looking at her his eyes finally back to normal. Then she said she shined the light in his eyes for nothing which he just shrugged it off accepting the answer she gave. Then she asked why he was out so late. " Me I don't know I just felt like walking around the school but if you see Filch or any professor just tell them I'm sleep walking." He said kind of laughing a little but stopping. She seemed to be looking around but the looked at him and ask him if she wanted to walk with him. "Sure that sounds a lot better then trying to find out where else paintings go all the time." He then looked around at the many ways to go. "So which way do you want to go?" He said still looking around.

Monica looked at Blake waiting for a reply. He then answered, and then asking her to what she had in mind. “Well I was going to make my way towards the room of requirements. L know this might seem weird a slytherin talking to a Gryffindor but I’d like to know somebody that’s not in my house once in a while.” She answered raising her eyebrows. She then took her wand at shut out the light. She liked the dark better. She just had it on to see who was approaching her in the first place. She then put her wand back into the pocket, yawning lightly, and started to make her way. She didn’t know if Blake was fallowing her but she was pretty sure.
