The emerald stone in the ring that bared her family crest glinted in the light of the classroom. She stared at it, still not believing that it sat on her finger. Coming out of her thoughts, Flitwick dismissed the charms class and people began to file out of the classroom door. Cass packed up her stuff and followed everyone out automatically. She seemed to do the same things everyday. Get up, eat breakfast, go to class, eat lunch, go to the library, eat dinner, and then go to bed. It was becoming monotonous, and she wanted a little spice added to her days. Maybe another romp in the Forbidden Forest.....?
Cass came back to herself, and bit her lip. She couldn't let herself think that way. Last year, she had lost nearly eighty points for Gryffindor with her little romp with Kris Graas there last year. She had decided to win points this year, and not lose them. Walking toward the Arithmancy classroom, Cass continued to let her thoughts wander. Within the last ten minutes, she had jumped from Quidditch, to music, to the latest fashion, and then back to Arithmancy. She had studied hard for this class so she wouldn't look a fool in front of the other students. Last class, Professor Vector had asked her a question and she just sat there looking like an idiot because she didn't have an answer for her. Stepping aside for a first year who had bent over to tie her shoe, she accidentally ran into another student. Cass grimaced as she heard the girl scream at her angrily.

Aubree walked around the halls with her usual scowl placed tightly on her face. She pushed passed anyone that got in her way not caring who they were. Aubree hadn't been doing so well the past few days. She had tried for so long to prove to her father she was a worthy Slytherin, but her only chance could have been gone. Aubree worried that her father may have found out what she did. It wasn't anything serious really. She just had needed answers. Aubree had followed her parents wishes all her life and they still didn't quite trust her. She still couldn't believe that she had written those letters to find answers. When she mailed them, Aubree knew exactly what she was doing, but defying her parents was not even in her mind at that moment. She still couldn't believe the chance she took and she hoped that they would never find out.
Aubree made her way through the halls. She stared at the filth that passed and made mean smirks to some of them. Her golden hair flickered as she walked and she knew it was perfect. Aubree prided herself with an excellent appearance. She always looked perfect and well kept. Her hair was dangling gracefully at her sides and her blue eyes shown brightly. Aubree's robes were beautiful and they matched her green Slytherin dress underneath. As she continued, Aubree heard some commotion, but she didn't realize she was so close to it. Suddenly, she felt someone push into her body and Aubree nearly fell over. She quickly straightened herself up and fixed her robes. Aubree looked at the girl and saw she was a Gryffindor about the same age."Ugg, look what you did!" She yelled pointing towards her now wrinkled robes. Her hair was no longer perfect and she hated to think that someone of importance would come over soon. "Filthy girl. You should mind where you are walking. Really, use that brain you might possibly have!" Now, Aubree was in a worse mood than before.

Cass stood up, startled by what the Slytherin girl had said to her. Looking up, she saw the blonde girl walking away. " Don't you damn Slytherins have any breeding whatsoever? I at least know how to be polite to people! My parent's were purebloods, and they never taught me to be like that!" Cass put her hand on her wand. She itched to pull it out of the holster that hung around her waist. She was going to teach this girl a lesson, one way or the other. " You know, seeing your face all sneering like that sure makes you ugly. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've seen better looking House Elves."
Cass' green eyes flashed with anger. She could feel the crowd begin to form around them, many of them eager to see the two of them duel. Cass new she could take the snivelling girl, and had no way qualms about doing so. Cass flipped her black hair over shoulder, and her green family ring glinted in the light as she did so. " I suggest you mind where you are walking. This time, you've bitten off more than you can chew."

"Oh, please! You might be a pure-blood, but being a Gryffindork is just as bad if not worse than being a mud-blood." Aubree barked back at the girl. Did she really think she could take Aubree? Aubree would have thought a Gryffindor would have more sense than to take her on. This girl was mad if she thought she could offend her in any way. Aubree wouldn’t take any talk form Gryffindors. “Oh, please. Since when have I cared what Gryffindors think of my appearance? Never! You think my face is ugly well then you must have beauty and ugliness confused because you look like a dead cockroach. You might want to stop accessing others appearances and focus on your own because you need the work!” She blurted out. Who does the girl think she is?Aubree thought. “Pay more attention to yourself than others maybe then you might be something in this world! Because you are nothing. No one cares about you so learn to deal with it.” Aubree yelled to the girl.
Aubree was going to crush the girl to the bug weather she allowed it or not. She must have been crazy to even think she could take on Aubree, but Aubree wasn’t about to walk away. No, she was going to see what the girl was made of. Aubree’s head jerked at the girl’s last comment. “I should watch where I’m going? Wow, you have the intention span of a lima bean. You bumped to me remember. I was minding my own business and then you came along!” Aubree could tell the girl was mad and willing to fight her. She starred at the crowd around them. She was angry, but Aubree knew she could take the girl. “Oh, are you angry?” She asked in a sarcastic tone. “I couldn’t tell.” She said with the same town. Aubree could see the girl’s clenched fists. She gave a little mean laugh as she waited for the girl to reply.

Cass fury made her pull her wand out of it holster and keep it at her side. " You Slytherins think yyour better than all of us, but I think I've met muggleborns better than you!" Cass felt a warm burning sensation on her finger, and she looked down quick enough to see her family ringing glowing faintly. The emerald shone with a light she had never seen before, and it made her a little nervous.
With a montumental amount of effort, Cass tried to calm down. YOu don't want to lose any points, Cass, she told herself. She felt her ferocity subside for a moment, and the glowing ring's light began to fade. The crowd was egging it on, they wanted to see the two girls fight, but she would not let them goad her. However, she knew that she could take the girl. This girl had probably never been in a duel in her life. She was probably more concerned with her nails than anything else. " I don't really have time to deal with people like you. Besides, you don't even rate my attention!"

Aubree just laughed at the girl. "Well, that's your opinion. Not that it really matters!" She laughed a bit more. Aubree wondered why the girl thought even a small bit that she would care about her statement. She just thought it was funny that a Gryffindork was trying to stand up to her. It's not like Aubree would give in to any of her statements. She could see the girl was more than a bit upset. She even seemed to want to fight her. Aubree laughed more at the thought. She had been in many duels before. Many with people older than her and she still won. Her father had started teaching her to duel at a young age even though her mother frowned upon it. Aubree was a dueling genius and she loved every minute of it.
Her attention turned upon the girl's neckless. Aubree had never seen a piece of jewelry being so ugly. "What is that?" She asked rudely. "Is that what you Gryffindorks call jewelry? Please, I thought you would have better taste then that." She called. The jewelry around her neck was a green stone on a neckless. "This is real jewelry." She said pointing to her diamond bracelet. She then listened to the girls comment. "If I'm not worth your attention then why are we talking? Why are you disturbing my peace if you don't care?" She asked bluntly. Aubree started cruelly at the girl. She was almost tempted to pull out her want, but she refrained.
