Kris had just walked away from the Hospital Wing. He didn’t doubt that madam P would be furious at him, because she said that Kris still wasn’t healthy enough for it, but Kris didn’t care. He had wanted out of there so with the help of a walking cane that he loathed. Morrigan had decided to come along for the ride and she literally rode along as she was perched on one of Kris’s shoulders. Kris didn’t really know where he was, but he figured it was somewhere on the 2nd floor. He wasn’t completely sure how exactly he had managed to get here either but his head was most certainly pounding again from the tension.
Kris felt relieved as he seated himself on a window-sill and tilting his head listened. The sound of footsteps and voices was clearly heard so Kris figured that he was somewhere near the main stair-case. It was kind of hard to tell as he couldn’t see anything. Kris smirked bitterly at the tough as he seated herself more comfortably as Morrigan hopped onto his left shoulder. Leaning his back against the cool glass Kris pulled out his wand. It had been so long since he used it properly. His fingers touched the smooth wood almost gingerly as if fearing it might break like so many other things in his life had broken. Kris had to force his hand to be steady as he raised his wand holding it in a ready position. Would he still be able to use it properly? Oh, Kris knew that he still had the power to cast a spell in him. He would never again require the swiftness he had had with the wand before, but without his eye-sight he never could restore it. But he could try his best. Try to learn to use it for cursing.
Hearing footsteps approaching Kris closed his eyes – not that it mattered in any way to his range of seeing – and concentrated. The curse for boils came to his mind as he tried to pick the correct time for cursing and sent the curse on the way. After about casting 10 curses Kris had pretty much discovered at which moment send the curse in which direction to make it hit. It was rather satisfying as Kris’s lips curled into a sneer. Next came the clicking of heels after a bit of a break in people coming this hallways and Kris smirked raising his wand once again. “Flurrifikus,” Kris whispered the charm and felt the familiar momentary warmth in his palm as the curse flew.
