(Due to the fact that my class seems to have suddenly grown in popularity, I have decided to split divide the class by house. If you are in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw have put a copy of your original post up here.)
Pomona moved quickly across the Hogwarts lawn towards Greenhouse 4, her short strides making her faded brown robes swish back and forth and she hurried along. September had come and was now nearing is close and the air was getting rather chilly—something she never looked forward to. It was always so hard on the plants. The small leather bound book she had safely tucked under her arm had a growing list of plants that would need to be brought in from outdoors before the weather turned any colder. Most of them were very important for both potions and healing. She was responsible of keeping both the Poppy and Severus in full supply!
Stepping inside the greenhouse she moved along side the table that ran down the middle of it as a proper working space for the students. She kept a small desk at the end she used for her own work space, though it was normally far to cluttered to leave her much space, and a blackboard hung above it where she could write instructions for classes. After she had placed her small leather bound book on her desk, pausing a moment to make sure it did not topple a pile of papers she had placed there already, she pulled out her wand and with a casual whisk in front of her blackboard, the word ‘Horehound’ appeared. She paused for a moment, then agreed with herself that horehound was a perfectly good topic for today she turned around and gave a few more whisks resulting in rather large pots to be moved from the floor along the edge of the room up onto the table, there were four of them, and they were spread out down the center of the table. After nodding in approval to her first task in preparation for today’s lesson her wand whisked back and fourth a few more times, resulting in a large number of small pots, to be placed along the table, spread out so they would be just about every other student.
Pleased with her work, Pomona settled down to read through a few scribbled notes while she waited for the arrival of her students.

Cleo Hardwick - Cleo sat cross-legged on her bed as she was taking off nail-polish form her nails. This was a rare occasion that Cleo would be seen without colourful polishing covering her nails, but she had Herbology today. All the soil and dirt and whatever else had a very bad tendency of ruining one’s nails and the nail-polihs on them. You couldnt’ really wear gloves the whole lesson either, so Cleo had restorted to an easier way. She had simply taken off her nail-polish. She wasn’t going to cut her nails to be shorter however. No, her nails and her hair were the most vibrant and known characteristics in her appearance. Not that Cleo was an ungly girl. Nope, with her slender body, that was fit from spending ages outside, slim bones and a nice complexion. Perhaps the angles of her face were a bit sharp and her personality most certainly had numerous faults. But on the outside Cleo was a rather pretty girl and she was proud of it.
Pulling on a pair of black pants, her favorite red boots and a white shirt Cleo was ready. Grabbing her bag for Herbology as well as a spare bit of parchment and a muglge pencil Cleo had already left her dormitory before she remembered to grab her robe as well. She really didn’t like the black uniform robe, but the professors demanded it. Going back to grab her robe Cleo strolled out of the classroom and towards the Greenhouses. Entering the correct one Cleo was a bit surprised to see that she was the first person there. She wasn’t too anxious about Herbology as she had had to take off her nail-polish because of it! The butterflies on each nail had taken ages to draw! After a moment of hesitation Cleo still stepped in through the Greenhouse door and nodded at the plump professor near the blackboard: „Good day, professor Sprout.“
Illyia Jenkins- The bright rays of the sun gleaming off the greenhouses below did nothing to lighten Illiya’s mood. She had made a grievous First Year error that she should have known better than to do and it had cost her house points already. Illiya berated herself the whole way down the lawn as she walked towards her next class. She was miserable. Illiya cast a hopeful glance at the greenhouse she was headed for and a little smile tugged at her lip. She wasn’t very good at Herbology but she rather enjoyed it. Illiya had been raised on a farm and loved working with her hands. She reveled in growing green things and suddenly she was looking forward to the pungent aromas that she was sure to find inside the greenhouse.
Illiya sped up and reached eagerly for the door. As soon as it was opened, Illiya allowed herself a few deep calming breaths, taking in the rich heavy scent of soil and wood. She eyed the pots on the table eagerly and moved quickly to a spot somewhere in the middle. There were three people in here already, none of which Illiya recognized and none of which looked overly friendly either. Illiya thought nothing of dropping her bag to the floor and leaning on the table to inhale the sweet odor rolling off the plants that lined the walls. She allowed the weight of her mistake to slip away and a truly contented smile spread across her features as she waited for the rest of class to arrive. For all she was concerned, she’d be just as happy if they didn’t.
Maryn Livley- aryn entered the Herbology classroom happily. She didn't care for the subject to much, but she was up for a challenge. That morning she was dressed with her normal funky flair. Maryn liked to look different from everyone else. She wanted everyone to know she was her own person. She looked around the classroom for a seat. she spotted some familiar people and some that she didn't know.Maryn saw the Cleo girl she met, two Slytherins. She also two a Hufflepuff she didn't know, one sitting by Flo, and Illiya. She sat next to her remembering their night adventure.
"Hey, Illiya. What's up?" She asked as she sat next to the girl. She had, had a pleasant time with Illiya that night. They even almost got caught, but managed. Maryn hadn't seen her since that night. "We survived. I told you we would." Maryn laughed silently. She then glanced at the subject on the board. What is that? She thought looking at the word.
Gary Michael Crane- Gary trotted over the ground heading towards the Greenhouses. He liked Herbology. Just like animals plants needed a lot of care and attention. That was something Gary was good at giving. But it was satisfacting to see something you cared for grow and develop into something so much more amazing. And Gary would have to learn to know plants when he wanted to become a Healer one day. Healers would need to know different potions and plants out of which the potions and remedies would be made. It was simply a necessity. Professor Sprout was a cheerful woman that certainly lso helped. She always seemed to be able to put a smile on Gary’s face.
Gary actually ran past Greenhouse number 4, so he had to backtrack before he finally managed to enter the humid room. Already the smell of plants and flowers made a small happy twinkle appear in Gary’s eyes. „Hello, professor!“ Gary shouted happily towards the woman in front of the classroom as he moved to stand at one of the free spots next to a bit younger year. A hufflepuff as the badge on her robe showed. Giving the girl a warm smile and a quiet hello Gary looked up at the blackboard. Horehound. Gary frowned as he thought about it. Hadn’t he just lately read about something that was called that? Or called something similar?

Illyia Jenkins (post 2)- Illiya was pulled out of her reverie by the friendly melody of Maryn’s voice. She turned quickly to return the smile she knew would be waiting for her. Illiya didn’t need to see Maryn to know the other girl had offered a warm smile in her direction. “Yeah,” she whispered conspiritorily, “I spent most of the next day waiting for ol’ Filch to leap out at me as I walked down the hall.” Illiya offered up a warm chuckle and then followed Maryn’s gaze to the board. She knew she’d heard of horehound before, her father was a farmer and liked those old fashioned remedies, but she was only aware of it in the already processed form of a hard candy. The taste was down-right repulsive but it was supposed to be good for sore throats. Illiya frowned at the word scrawled neatly in white across the vast black expanse of the board and then turned her eyes back to the pots on the table, envisioning the students harvesting little brown hard candies off of some strange looking bush.
Emma Blake- Emma sweeped her robes behind her, and rose from the chair in her dorm. Herbology was next-Emma didn't mind the subject, she new quite a few plant names but was't the best at handling the biting ones! tying her hair into a long black plait with practised moves, Emma snapped the blueish sliver band in place, grasped her book bag in her hand, and walked out of the room to the greenhouses. Once by Greenhouse 4, Emma poked her head inside. A few people were inside-she noticed Pandora with a hufflepuff, and got momentarily confused. Never mind. Then Emma saw some of her new friends. There was Sadie, who she knew roughly, with one of Emma's good friends Flo. On another side of the room was Maryn, with someone Emma recognised as Illiya. Waving at Maryn, Emma went over to Flo. "Hey Flo, Sadie. You ok?" Then Emma glanced at the board, where the Professor had written in fine writing- Horehound. Emma was sure her mother had given her some parchment about this, and it rang a small bell in her mind.
Rosaliz Hernandez- Rosaliz walked on the hogwarts ground with her bag on her shoulders, but her hands were to busy clentching on her robes, since the weather seemed to get very cold. She let her feet swoosh on the ground. Another year back to this class. She loved it mostly since the plants smelled nice and fresh. She made her way into the green house and looked around. She spotted Flo immediately how had been next to Sadie. She remembered the last time she seen Sadie. They were looking for her aunt instead they found her father. Immediately she shook her head from the the flash back of that night. She didn't want to remember the horrible tragedy. She swiftly made her way up to them and asked "Hey, Sadie and Flo!!! Mind if I join with you?" Rosaliz smiled at them waiting for a reply.
Neville Longbottom- Neville walked across the green grass to the large buildings that served as greenhouses at Hogwarts. Neville was surprised at how tall he had gotten as some of the first and second years passed by them. It seemed like they barely reached his waist. The wind blew his dark hair and cloak behind him, but he could hear some mocking Slytherins behind him. He turned around to see some Slytherins who had tormented him for most of his years at Hogwarts, but he was going to let this pass. Nothing would ruin this day. He had been looking forward to the beginning of Herbology, and he knew that excelled in the subject.
Entering the green house, he nodded at Professor Sprout as he made his way to a table near the back of the room and joined Payton, probably the next oldest person on the room. He didn't see many older students, and that disappointed him. He was sincerely hoping to see some of his friends. " Hey, Payton. How was your summer?" Neville didn't know the Hufflepuff personally, but he did know of him. Trying to make friendly conversation, Neville took out a quill and parchment so he could be ready to take notes.

Cugar Farmer- Cougar woke up, and put on his robes. After two classes, he was used to getting up for class. He dressed in a pair of khakis and an old muggle concert t-shirt of "Warrant". He pulled on his shoes and, reluctantly, his robe, and headed for the door of his dormitory. He noticed a few people in the common room and he wondered why, but he let it slip his mind as he thought of Herbology. He knew he would be good at it because before his mother died she used to teach him alot about it as she was doing her gardening. Naturally, he didn't soak in much because he was little, but he has studied Herbology extensively since then. He felt when he learned it, his mother could have already told him it.
He trolled down the steps leading to the grounds to the grounds. To his reluctancy, he turned away from the lake, and headed to the greenhouses. He walked in, and noticed quite a few people already here. As he hadn't made many new friends, he went to the person closest to him, which was a boy who seemed to be younger than him, but he couldn't tell, and asked if he was late.
Lavender Brown- Lavender sighed as she threw her books into her bag. She was sitting in the Gryffindor Common Room waiting for the time when she needed to leave for Herbology. She hated waiting for classes to begin. She wished she didn't have a break in between classes. It was so much easier when she could just go from class to class. She sighed again. The day had been so surreal and right now things were even worse. The atmosphere seemed foggy and she was sure that there was an unusual feel about the castle. She had no idea why she felt this way, but she did. She stood up from the chair and walked toward the portrait of the fat lady. She didn't want to sit anymore. Besides class would begin soon. She left the common room and headed for the green houses.
Lavender walked down the hill toward the green houses. She wasn't good at Herbology, she just wasn't into the dirt and stuff, but she wanted to continue taking the course. She wanted to be good at gardening, but she just didn't have the green thumb required for it. It was her hardest class. She walked slowly as she smiled to herself. The first years and second years that passed her seemed to be much shorter than she was at that age. She was only 5'8" now, but she had been much taller at their age than they were. They didn't even look like they reached 5 feet. She laughed to herself as she reached the green house.
Walking inside she noticed a ton of people. She didn't seen many older students other than Neville and an older Hufflepuff that was in several of her classes, she thought his name was Payton. Walking toward them she smiled. "Hi Neville, Hi Payton, right?" Lavender asked as she reached the table and dropped her bag on the table. She wasn't sure if his name was Payton, but it seemed to be a good choice. She pulled out her book and other supplies as she waited for class to begin. She hoped that some of her other friends would show up. She didn't want to be alone in this class.
Mandi Aspden- Mandi rolled down the hill to the green houses. She picked herself up at the bottom and sighed. She had been having such a bad day. She bent down and tied her shoe. It had been the cause of her fall. She picked up her bag and ignored the laughs from the people that had seen. She hated her life right now. She had been having such a bad week. Ever since she had found out about her aunt being moved to the permanent ward in St. Mungos. She really wished she could talk with her, but her mum told her that her aunt was no longer in her right mind. She probably never would be. Mandi sighed again as she slung her bag on her shoulder.
Stepping into the green house she walked past Neville and a couple other students she didn't know. She brushed across the table and she knocked someone's book off the table. Turning she realized it had been the girl who was standing next to Neville. She had knocked the girls book off the table. She quickly picked it up and sighed. "I'm so sorry. I'm a klutz," Mandi mumbled. She felt so stupid.
Luna Lovegood- Herbology was nice! They learned about plants there! Lot of creatures liked plants. Plants were food. And pretty. And smelled nice. And interesting. And useful. And growing. Almost alive! Solizzle Fo Shizzles liked plants very much. They even lived like plants. Maybe professor Sprout would be showing Solizzle Fo Shizzle to them today. Thinking such happy thoughts Luna want to the Herbology glass and entered the correct greenhouse. Wrapping the birght yellow scarf away from her neck Luna placed it on a nearby table. Next came the red scarf around her hips. Then the blue scarf from around her head. Then the green scarf around her shoulders. And then a big wollen shalf with the Hogwarts banner came off from her shoulders where it hang on Luna’s back. Finally being three of all the scarves Luna walked forward and chose a place near the professor who received a happy way from Luna.
„Hello professor! How are the Solizzle Fo Shizzles living? I know they must absolutely love you!” Luna shouted happily at professor Sprout before singing Yellow Submarine under her breath.

Alarice walked down the springy grass into the greenhouses for herbology. She really didnt mind herbology. But she would rather be in something exciting like Defense Against the Dark Arts. But at least the class allowed Alarice some fresh air. That morning Alarice had her long sandy blonde hair twisted into two lazily done french braids, and as usual, she wore no makeup. She rarely needed it so she didnt really bother. Alarice entered the greenhouse and stood beside a ravenclaw girl she knew only by passing, Luna Lovegood.

((A note for anyone who directed thier post to a Slytherin or Hufflepuff, you can write a new entry post if you so desire, or just ignore the names and have your character sit by someone else in the new post.))
Pomona looked up from her desk every few moments, casting warm smiles at the incoming students. She had decided to give them a rather easy lesson for the day, she always liked to start the school year with some simple things to help let the students get use to getting their hands dirty, and the Horehound had to be taken care of for winter anyway. It was working out just perfectly. She sat at her desk, sorting through assignments from her previous class, until it seemed like everyone was in class. She then pushed herself up from her desk and looked out across the room at her students, giving them all a bright warm smile. The fall weather always made her feel full of life, which was a very good thing considering how much needed to be done!
“All right now, it seems like were all here so how about we get started. We are going to be replanting Horehound today. Horehound is a very important herb, with some very useful healing properties. Now, we are only going to touch on this briefly, but are any of you familiar with one of the uses for Horehound?”

Herbology was next-Emma didn't mind the subject, she new quite a few plant names but was't the best at handling the biting ones! tying her hair into a long black plait with practised moves, Emma snapped the dark blue band in place, grasped her funky pink book bag in her hand, and walked out of the room to the greenhouses. Once by Greenhouse 4, Emma poked her head inside. A few people were inside, and Emma sat down in one of the front seats, looking around her excitedly. Even tough Herbology wasn't her favourite lesson, all new lessons were fun! Getting out her wand, ink and parchment, Emma set them all neatly out on the desk as they should be, and looked up with a smile. Then Emma glanced at the board, where the Professor had written in fine spidery writing- Horehound. Emma was sure her mother had given her some parchment about this, and it rang a small bell in her mind. It didn't sound very 'nice', and most of Emma's knowledge that her mum had taught her all her life was simple and Emma never knew too much. For instance, she knew many spells, but had seldom ever cast them. Frowing, she thought harder.
Slowly, an answer came to her. Emma was not sure if it was correct, but raised her hand.

Horehound. Horehound, horehound, horehound. Professor Sprout had just asked the class about horehound, but Alarice had already begun to daze off. She had vaugly heard of it before, and if she really racked her brain, she may have been able to come up with one of its uses, but she really didnt feel like it. Alarice instead stayed quiet and watched as Professor Sprout waited at the front of the class expectantly. Alarice yawned and crossed her arms impatiently, gazing out at the clear, morning sky. She really felt like taking a ride on her broom. What a waste..

Katrina had got to the lesson early and noticed that so did most people. She sat on her own, only because she wasn't feeling very well and it was the collest place in the room. Professor asked the question and even though she wasn't feeling well, her hand shot up to the highest possible point. I know this, she thought.
She had always loved Herbology and was starting to feel better. Her hand was still in the air with a few others. Finally, she thought, I feel confident again. She was relieved to see she was fitting in at the school again. Her hand was straight and finally she felt good again.

Elina enjoyed Herbology. She was fairly good at it, and she enjoyed to learn about the peculiar plants that inhabited the Earth. Especially the magical ones. Elina liked most classes, but Herbology was amongst her favourites. Maybe it was the professor who made the class much more enjoyable then a few select others, Elina wasn't sure- but she did know that Professor Sprout added an unique air to the class. A few of the other professors weren't as nice and or jubilant as Professor Sprout was about their subject. Professor Flitwick was, and in an odd way- Elina often saw him as a male version of Professor Sprout. And that brought unwelcomed images into Elina's mind, and she would have to hurriedly push them out before she had class with either one of them.
This is what Elina had to do before she marched down to the greenhouses for her class of Herbology. Having just come from Charms, she needed to quickly switch off that section of her brain before seeing Professor Sprout's body with Professor Flitwick's head on her shoulders. That would just be a disturbing thought. The weather was crisp this afternoon, and it sent a slight chill against Elina's face. She lowered her head, to hide her soft cheeks and forehead from the blast of cool air, as she scurried across the grounds to the greenhouses. Her cloak flew behind her, not helping much with the warmth that was needed, and her brown hair drifted around her in all directions, "Blasted hair...I should just shave it all off.." Elina muttered to herself as she finally reached the greenhouses.
She stepped inside to the warmth and breathed in, grateful. The warm air washed over her and she stepped all the way inside, closed the door behind her, and looked around for an empty seat near someone she knew. Luna. She was in her house. But she didn't really know her. Good enough. Elina walked over and took a seat next to Luna, a smile onher face; "Kind of cold out isn't it?" She asked as she got herself situated and waited for class to start. Everyone thought Luna to be odd, and odd she was- but Elina liked her anyway. She always seemed so cheerful. It exhausted Elina just thinking about it! Elina didn't have much time to think about it, however, for Professor Sprout stood and began class. She listened to the question and thought about it for a moment. She knew the answer...no doubt. But alas, she figured she should allow the younger ones to answer first. After all, this was Elina's last year, and most of them had many more years to go. BEtter as well get used to answering questions.

She paused a few long moments after her question had been asked, giving the students some time to think about their answers. She normally only got a little response when she asked about the plants before class began, thought that never bothered her. Even a little response was still a response! The hand that caught her attention was one of a young Gryffindors. She smiled warmly at the girl before calling on her. "Katrina, what do you know about Horehound?"

Katrina was blissful when the teacher chose her, she placed her hand down and said,
"Black Horehound is distinguished by its disagreeable odour. It also belongs to the Labiatae order, among which it is distinguished by the strongly ten-ribbed salver-shaped calyx. The whole plant is as offensive in odour as it is unattractive in appearance. It is mostly found growing near towns and villages, and has accompanied our colonists to many remote countries. It's uses include antispasmodic, stimulant and vermifuge through the liquid of the plant."
It was a lot but Katrina could remember nearly everything she had read about horehound. She waited for what the teacher was about to say.

She listenend carefully to Kartina's answer, nodding happily at it. "Yes, very good Kartina! Just what the textbook says. 10 points for Gryffindor!" She smiled and nodded happily at the good background Katrina had given before she continued on with her lecture. "Now, I keep a full supply of Horehound right here, because as you can guess, its very important to both Professor Snape and Madam Pomfrey. Now, I am currently down to just the plans that you see before you, so we are going to seed and re-pot them. Then they will grow well all winter long and we will have a flourishing supply in the spring. Now, Horehound likes dry, rougher soil, so if you would each get out a pot from below the center table, and then using the bags of coarse spoil behind you fill them up about three-quarters of the way."

Maryn listened as the different students received house points. She smiled at them. Maryn wished Gryffindor would win the house cup very badly. Then, they would really show those Slytherins. Maryn listened to the professor's instructions and her explanations. She quickly grabbed a pot and placed it in front of her. Maryn then reached for the bag of soil behind her and filled her pot three-quarters of the way as instructed. She then brushed the dirt off her hands and smiled at he work. Maryn was certain she looked a mess, but she didn't care.

Gary smiled and picked up the soil and plants they were working at today. He had always been good at Herbology. If he wanted to become a doctor or a mediwizard one day then he wouldn’t have a choice but to know different plants and how to use them. “Professor Sprout? Could you give us some example of a potion this plant is used in? And how is the plant used in potions? The leaves, roots, blossoms or seeds? Or do you have to prepare the plant to be used in a potion in some special way? Let it stand for a while or boil it for example? Are there some people who might be allergic to horehound if it’s in some potion or medicine?” Gary smiled at professor Sprout as he filled the pot in front of him with the soil. Taking the seeds Gary gently made room for them after long distances so the growing plants would have light and room to grow. Placing the seeds in their proper places gently Gary used his fingers to cover them with soil again. Pushing lightly with his fingers Gary mad sure the soil was completely surrounding the seeds but not too tightly. The seeds needed air to breath and to start growing. Sprinkling some water over the soil as well Gary smiled at his hand-work. Horehound liked coarse soil but even this plant would need a bit of water. That was why Gary had only sprinkled some water on the plants.

She looked over the students, watching them as they retrieved the dirt from behind them and filled their pots. She just loved watching the students at work. Herbology wasn't like other classes where one let their want do the work for them. In her class one literally had to get their hands dirty, and their results, while just as gratifying, were not instant.
She heard a student say her name and glancing over she smiled at the Ravenclaw who had asked her about Horehound and some of its uses. "Ah yes, now most of this you will cover on your other classes, but I can give you a few examples if you like. Now, the leaves are boiled, and the liquid is used in potions given to anyone who has suffered from a werewolf bite. The roots are also used whole in luck and protection potions. They whole plant, if ground up and used fresh is also given to those suffering from wizard colds. Thankfully though, I have yet to come across anyone with an allergy!" She smiled at Gary again, hoping she had given him a good examples of Horehound before she looked around at the rest of the class again.
"Now everyone, once your pot has the correct amount of soil in it, we get to the tricky part. Now many muggles grow horehound, but they have yet to learn how to plant it to just right, getting it to grow at its strongest powers. Now, if everyone, needs to make a deep narrow hole in the very center of their pot, about the width and length of your index finer. Then, pick a a branch on the horehound plants in the center of your table, and find one that on the very end has one of the dark flowers at the end and at least one leaf. Carefully break the step, so that you have the leave and the flower, then, roll it up so that it will fit inside the hole that you made. This is what helps contain its strength. push soil back over to cover the hole and then using the small dippers in the buckets on the table put a circle of water around the plant. Oh yes! I almost forgot! There are enough pots out for students to work in pairs. If you prefer to work alone, you may though, just get one of the extra pots next to the soil bags."

Cleo rolled her eyes as some over-enthusiastic Ravenclaw burst out questions. Who cared about potions? Or plants? Sure, it was fun to be given flowers, but caring for a garden was way too much trouble for Cleo. Who would want to spend their days in dirt and picking out weeds and garlic besides Sprout? And her nail-polish would be ruined. Sighing and trying to protect her nails a little Cleo pulled on a pair of black leather gloves. Dropping the dirt rather carelessly into the pot Cleo grimaced at it. Why exactly did she still had Herbology?
None the less Cleo pushed the soil together before making a whole in the soil near the center of it. Breaking off the branch Cleo frowned as the leaf ripped a little, but it didn’t really matter. She could still fold it properly however so Cleo fitted the flower roleld up inside a leaf into the whole she had made and pushed the dirt back over the plant. Sprinking down some water on the plant Cleo was glad when she finally got the work done. Gardening and plants were most certainly not her thing.

Ryan bounded into Herbology happily and not a moment to early. He had barely managed to enter when professor Sprout had started the lesson. Especially as the end of his scarf got caught at the door or am oment. So as to not bother everyone Ryan took a seat rather near the end of the table and near the Greenhouse door. Listening carefully to the professors instructions Ryan dragged over a pot and soma soil and started to work. Pouring a lot of the soil into the pot, Ryan shyly brushed away the little that fell on the table. Next he had to make a hole in the soil. That was rather funny to do so ryan smiled cheerily as he wriggled his finger around in dirt. Maybe worms had a rahter intersting life?
Walking around the table-corner Ryan spend a few moments looking for a suitable branch before finalyl settling on a small bloom as he picked the branch. Carefully wrapping the leav around the flower Ryan pushed it into the hole he had made and gently patted the soil back over the bloom making a small hill-like thing over where he had buried the plant. Sprinkling some water artfully in the shape of a smilie face over the hill-ish soil Ryan brushed the soil off from his fingers and waited for the professor to grade his work.

Pomona kept a careful eye on her students form the font of the room, watching them makes their holes and carefully place their rolls of leaves and closer inside. She smiled and nodded at some of them as she watched. Ah! Such joy in watching others learn how to grow their own magical plants! Finally, as their scheduled class time was drawing to a close she walked down the row and nodded. "Ah...yes...Nice work Cleo...and you Ryan...ah yes.."
She walked casually by a few more students, observing who had followed her directions and who had not before she reached the font of her classroom again. "All right everyone! Thank you all for such a wonderful first class of the year! 10 points for all who finished the assignment, and there is no homework. So, go and enjoy the rest of your day!"
((This class is now over))
