It was the first time she had ever sat through a Quidditch game she wasn't playing in and not studying the other teams moves. At first she thought that maybe she could do both, but once she got there, all she could think about was waving the little Ravenclaw flag she had manage to get, and cheering Gary on. At first she only yelled out a bit for him, but as the game went on she cheered more and more for Gary and Ravenclaw until finally her throat was raw and she could hardly talk. To her though, it didn't matter. Gary had told her not long before in Hogsmead that he was a bit nervous about the game, because he was a starting chaser, but he played wonderfully the entire time. She had never really watched him play before, mostly because the teams all had closed practices, but he looked amazing out there, especially after he told her that she was a much better player than he was.
After the game, was over, with Ravenclaw claiming victory, most of the Hogwarts students headed back to the castle, either to sulk or celebrate, and get ready for their team to return from the locker rooms they would use to change out of their quidditch uniforms. Nokomis though, took a different turn than the other people who had watched the game, and instead stayed on the grounds, near the pitch, the where the players came out after the game. She wanted to be the first person Gary saw other than his team mates so she could congratulate him.

They had won. They had actually won! Gary let out a loud whoop throwing his arms high in the air when Jasmine raised her fist with the golden snitch fluttering it’s wings inside her palm and the movement almost caused him to topple off his broom. Grabbing hold of his broom again Gary quickly whizzed over the quidditch pithc not even noticing the Gryffindor players in red as he zoomed past them to his own them. “We won!” Gary called out not caring that the rest of the team knew it as well as he did. Gary hugged someone as the team made it towards the locker rooms in a big bunch but he wasn’t entirely sure who. In the end it just turned into one huge group-hug. The cheers coming from the locker room were ear-locking but everyone on the team were much too overjoyed to actually care.
The chatter broke off however as everyone rushed to the showers to go and share their joy with friends not on team too. Gary was one of the first to leave the locker rooms even if most other people might have already left the pitch. Slowly walking over the pitch to the exit in his worn jeans and an old grey cardigan Gary was still replaying the game in his mind when he noticed a familiar girl. “Noko! Can you believe we actually won?” Gary called out excitedly to her friend quickening his steps to reach Noko faster.

She knew that she might have to wait for a while before Gary would come out from the locker rooms, which was why most people went back to the common rooms to wait for their teams. After standing for a moment, she settled herself down onto the grass, deciding it was more comfortable to sit while waiting then stand. She hadn't actually waiting as long as she thought she may, but maybe it was just because she had distracted herself by braiding blades of glass when she hear her name being called. She looked up to see Gary, rushing his strides over to her as he told her that they won. Noko couldn't help but grin as she pushed herself to her feet, Gary nearly reached her as she did, and with out even thinking she took the few steps towards him and threw her arms around his neck, jumping up off the ground so that she could reach all the way up. "I saw! I was there the whole time! I was so proud of you! You played wonderfully!" She wasn't sure if she was yelling or talking normally. She was close enough to have whispered and have him hear her, but she was too excited to contain herself. Normally she didn't bother much about teams other than Hufflepuff and the Irish, but she was more excited about Gary's win that she every thought she had been about her own.

Gary felt a surge of warmth and pride fly through him when he saw Noko smiling at him. Gary didn’t love quidditch as much as Nokomis did perhaps. He didn’t want to tie his life that totally with quidditch. But he was felt so proud that Nokomis had been here to see him play. Lately she had been influencing to think more about quidditch. And listening to Noko talking about the game so passionately Gary had started to seen a whole new side to the game or sport too. And that side only made him fonder of quidditch. Gary was glad beyond words that Noko had bothered to wait for him.
Gary smiled a winner smile when Noko hugged him tightly. His hands rose almost on their own accord as he hugged Nokomis tightly, bowing his head a little as Gary swung from side to side with Noko for a few moments. Noko’s hair tickled his nose and Gary had to raise his head as he sneezed suddenly but he was still grinning widely as he looked at Noko. “I saw you there in the stands and I’m glad you came. I can’t believe we won! Against Gryffindor none the less! It felt amazing to be out there. It was completely thrilling and just so, so incredible!” Gary smiled and laughed a little his eyes shining as he thought back of the game. He had managed to score too! It was simply amazing. “Thank you for believing that I could do it. But the game was simply magic today. I mean practices don’t quite prepare you for the feeling when you’re out there in your robes and you see and hear the people in the stands cheering or booing and living on to the game.”
