Drew bounded down the stairs of Hogwarts to the grounds outside of the entrance doors. Everything was shining beautifully in the afternoon sun. A bit more intense in the temperature, but it was still only mild compared to summer. Which was almost there! He rubbed his hands together in excitement. It wouldn't be long before break happened and then vacation in America started. Baseball, basketball, and any other sport that suited his fashion. He smiled in anticipation before he grabbed the Frisbee he had brought out from where he had tucked it under his arm. The red Frisbee was rather old and batter looking. It had been his father's many years ago, but his father had allowed him to take it to Hogwarts for the sheer pleasure of entertainment.
Drew spun the Frisbee around between his palms before he threw it up in the air. He watched it drop and caught it quickly. He smiled at the vision of twirling red. It reminded him of the many times he and his father played catch with it. He even remembered the time when he had ended up getting a shiner. His father had chucked the Frisbee really hard and Drew hadn't been paying attention, mostly due to a girl he had seen. It had hit him right in the eye. His father had thought it was hilarious. Drew was slightly embarrassed since the girl had thought it was funny as well. The shiner had reminded him to never get distracted by girls again though, because that shiner lasted him a good three weeks before the swelling went down and the colour returned to normal.
Drew smiled and laughed to himself at the memory. A year ago when it happened he definitely hadn't thought it was funny, now it was. He twirled the Frisbee in his hands once more before he finally gave it a good throw. He watched with a smile as the Frisbee flew on a great path across the grounds and landed at the feet of a girl. He smiled. It might not fly great, but it definitely flies with purpose. Drew took off at a run toward it and stopped in front of the girl. "Sorry about that. I didn't mean to throw it that far. My names Andrew Thornton, but please just call me Drew. I like it better," Drew said as he held out his hand for the girl to shake. He ran his hand through his hair and ruffled it. As always, he was trying to impress the girls, sooner or later he would learn that it didn't work, at least not doing just that.
