Melissa woke up from a pleasant dream one early warm spring day. Not realizing she was on the end of the bed Mel tried to rollover and ended up hitting the ground with a loud thump. Giggling slightly as the sound of her groaning roommates which she had just pleasantly woken up she looked out the big window next to her bed and saw a blue jay sitting in the window staring at her. How pretty she thought to herself a little breath taken. Pushing herself off the floor she stood there for a minute taking in the scenery. All the girls where still sleeping or at least trying to in there comfy twin sized bed and as her honey brown eyes wandered over to the widow there were birds chirping and you could here people laughing.
Smiling slightly she stumbled over to her trunk and pulled out a yellow v-neck that didn't dip too low but was still cute and a pair of light blue hip-huggers. Closing her trunk Mel spun around and headed towards the bathroom. Once reaching it she closed the door quietly behind her so she would not wake the others and locked it. Spinning around again she looked in the mirror. Her honey eyes where unusually bright today. Smiling slightly she remembered when her mother used to tell her that every smile gives an angel its wings so make sure that you smile and make other people smile often.
Slipping out of her oversized white shirt and cotton sweat pants she turned the water as hot as it would go trying to drown out all of her thoughts as she let the scorching hot water hit her body. She thought about how in her last letter her aunt had mentioned that her mom was never home and even if she was she was worrying about a certain patient of hers that was not in the best condition. This bothered her because her mom had a history of over working herself until her body was not able to do it any more. One time when Mel was about five or six her mother had over worked herself so bad she had passed out on the stairs and broke her collar bone.
Stepping out of the shower fifteen minutes later she dried herself off with a towel and put on her already picked out clothes. Steeping up to the mirror she whispered a drying spell while holding her wand to her hair and her hair was instantly dried. Running a brush threw her hair she decided to keep it down for today. Pulling out her tooth brush and tooth past she scrubbed at her already pearl white teeth for two and a half minutes. After rinsing her mouth out Mel then replaced the tooth brush and toothpaste for a little bit of brown eyeliner under her honey colored eyes and a little pink lip-gloss on her cherry colored lips.
Looking in the mirror one last time to make sure she was satisfied with her appearance an idea popped in her head but she needed to go to Hogsmade to get the supplies. After she thought for a while as she headed onto the grounds she realized that it would not be such a good Idea after all. Mel looked around for someone to talk to and saw a boy she recognized that was in the same year and house as she was. His name was Derrick but they had never really met the most the have ever said was hello or hi.
Deciding that now would be a great time to meat him she walked over to him and sat next to him saying "Hey I'm Mel". Twirling a piece of her brown hair she waited patiently for a response.
