β Well today wasn't so bad." He thought sitting by the lake his arms on his knees and his head on his arms, he just sat there and watched the sun start to go down it was a nice day and with the sun about to set the sky was about to turn a nice mix of orange and red which he liked to watch till it was gone. Tobias started to hear flapping in the distance and he turned his head to see a bird flying low. He didn't even have to get a good look at the bird he could tell it was his owl; he knew it because it was flying right to him. He looked back at the lake and by the time he did the barn owl had landed on his shoulder. The owl was rather heavy so he leaded forward when it landed on him.
Soon the owl pushed off his shoulder and flew off as he pushed off he got pushed over and started to laugh as he sat up again. "He does that on purpose, I swear." He said laughing. Looking back at the lake he could see that the sun just starting to set and he lied back and closed his eyes. He was in a good mood for once and not all serious, it was probably because of that owl. It always cheered him up; He never got any letters or sent any, so it had become more of a house pet sticking by his side when he was outside. The owl had become more of a puppy, he taught it to fetch sticks out of mid-air which was no small task it toke a few years to master but so far the owl seemed to learn it. He soon starting to fall asleep.
Before he could fall asleep completely he could hear footsteps in the distance and opened his eyes. He turned his head to see a figure walking his way normally he would wish the person would go away but he didn't mind right now, the person could do whatever they wanted. He sat up so the person could tell he was there and wouldn't step on him or anything.
