Think, Ellie told herself. She was sitting against a big Willow Tree and trying to write new song lyrics to her old song. She loved to write her own music and one of her biggest dreams is that one day she would be able to sing her own lyrics professionally. Sighing she closed her notebook that her mom had sent her and rested her head against the tree. It was about noon and actually very warm out. She loved warm weather but couldn't stand the cold that is why when she is of age and is out of Hogwarts she is heading straight for Ireland. She had read all the books anyone could possibly think of on this place so she was pretty much all set now all she needed was some money and a place to stay.
Lately she had been having a little bit of trouble finding inspiration. Usually that wasn't an issue but lately it had been. Maybe it was because her best friend Kelsey from London wasn't talking to her anymore. Kelsey had been her friend for eight years and is now upset at her because she told her she couldn't be in her band last year. Even though she new it was mean she had to tell her friend the truth she couldn't lie and say she was good at playing the guitar because she wasn't because if she told her she was good she would have to have her in her band that she used to have. Even though she had wrote letters saying she was sorry and that she didn't mean to hurt her feeling she still wouldn't talk to her. She thought this was quite a weird thing to get so upset about but she still was a little upset at her for it.
Oh, skip it she mumbled under her breath picking up her note book she trudged back up t the castle when suddenly she was hit straight on and all her stuff went flying. Bending over to pick up her stuff and not even looking at who hit her she said "Next time could you watch where you are going?"
(Sorry it is so short and lame I am still trying to get into my charrie))

Lacey sat on a bench near the lake-shore after having cleared it of snow carefully. Getting sick was not part of her plans so Lacey made sure to wrap her cloak tightly around herself as she sat down on the bench and fished out the yet unfinished letter to her father. She had already composed the letter earlier, but it had became a bit of a tradition for her to draw something onto each letter she sent her father. Draw something and send her father a chocolate frogs, as he had taken to collecting the cards that came with the frogs. Finding her pencils from her pockets Lacey squinted her eyes as she looked towards the castle trying to decide what to draw this time. Something happy. Not getting any inspiration from the high turrets of the school-house Lacey turned her eyes the opposite direction staring thoughtfully over the lake as she chewed lightly on her lower lip. The great squid in the lake chose precisely that movement to move and Lacey smiled victoriously getting inspiration from it. She would draw the giant squid of the Hogwarts lake for her father.
It was just a few moments later when Lacey had already finished with the outline of the creature and quick wrist-movements added some touches of color to the tentacles and body. Closing her letter securely Lacey hopped up from her seat and rushed towards the owlery where she handed the envelope to a smart looking beige owl. Feeding the owl a small treat before she took off Lacey watched the owl float away gracefully after hooting it’s thanks. She missed her father during the long months of school actually. He was the only family she had. At least she could write him letters. And receiving letters from back home always cheered Lacey up and made her a bit less homesick than she usually was.
Lacey skipped merrily out of the owlery and headed back towards the lake only to slip on the ice that had been revealed under some snow. Falling rather heavily Lacey tried to regain her balance only to have someone walk into her. The girl stumbled on Lacey stepping rather hard on her fingers as her things went flying. “I think you could have looked where you were going instead of stepping onto me, as I had lost my balance already.” Lacey handed the girl a piece of paper that had flown out from between her notebook as she blew on her now sore fingers she had stepped on. Her fingers were hurting now and yet the girl had just snapped out of nowhere while not even checking if the other person who had been part of the collision was alright. It was careless and arrogant.

Looking down as the girl made a smart remark she smiled she couldn't help it. It reminded her of her old friend Kelsey. Taking the piece of paper she blushed a little hoping she hadn't read it. She had written this specific song when she was going out with a muggle boy named Brian tucking it into her note book Ellie reached out her hand to help the girl up noticing her unusually red fingers. "Sorry 'bout that I am not in the best mood right now by the way I am Ellie Nashawitts Ravenclaw fifth year". Hoping this girl wouldn't take her attitude too personally she tried politely to start a conversation. Maybe that would take her mind off of her mom and friend.
Flipping her brown hair over her shoulder Ellie looked up and saw how pretty the sky was today. There wasn't a single cloud in the sky and the sun was shinning. She loved the way the sun reflected off the lake it reminded her of the days that her mother father and she used to go down to the lake they lived by and hang out. She loved swimming it was a lot of fun and always had something new about it you couldn't just swim in the same spot it was practically impossible. She looked at the strangely calm water of the lake and saw the memory of the day her uncle saved her from drowning when she was nine flash before her eyes. It was kind of a windy day when her parents had decided to go down to the beach. Ellie at the age nine and anxious to get in the water quickly ate a tuna sandwich and rushed into the water. She didn't read the sign that said that there was a strong current and swam out up to her chest. She kind of slipped and fell under she tried to swim up but the current was too strong. Luckily her uncle had noticed she hadn't come up from the water and quickly came into the water and found her.
Shaking her head of this memory Ellie looked back at the girl and said "So what brings you outside on a day like this?". Tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear she waited for a response
OOC: sorry it took me so long to respond I have been a little busy with my home life

The girl smiled. Lacey couldn’t help but feel a flash of irritation at this. Was someone having an accident and falling really that stumbling? Just because she was younger and a halfblood, because she was a Hufflepuff was she not a person too? Someone who should still be treated with some respect? And now the girl wanted to laugh at her? It hurt. It really did. Lacey looked down at the ground noticing that some of her coloring pencils had fallen out of the velvet bag she usually kept them in. Some appeared to be broken too. A detail that saddened Lacey much more than falling and someone stepping on her fingers did. Before she could really concentrate on her loss as pencils were Lacey’s friends. Her way of expressing herself and letting it all out the girl spoke however.
Looking up Lacey noticed that the girl was reaching out her hand to her after to supposedly help her up. She didn’t seem to be in a very good mood and a moment later she said the same thought Lacey had aloud. Maybe someone had bothered her while she was reading or writing or doing something. Lacey herself could sometimes be a little snappy if someone bothered her in the middle of drawing when she had a little bit of inspiration. Biting her teeth for a moment Lacey nodded and accepted the girls hand as she stood up again trying to brush all the excess dirt off from her clothes. “It’s alright. I’m Lacey. Langres. Hufflepuff fourth year.” The girl looked off towards the lake and for a moment lacey observed her noticing her face and figure and general outlook with an almost professional interest. People were always the hardest to draw but it was just a little bit easier if you had a live model.
Crouching Lacey started to pick up the pencils that had fallen all over the ground near where she had fallen when Ellie spoke again. “I was out finishing a letter to my father and then owled it. It is a rather nice day today. I can’t imagine who would want to stay cooped up in the castle today.” Lacey glanced up and offered a small shy smile before returning her attention to the task at hand.
((It's quite alright. I don't always manage to reply immidiately either.))
