Thomas sat by the lake looking out to the lake just staring out. He had a big smile over his face as if it was the happiest moment in his life. Which it kind of was, he was finally back at Hogwarts. It seemed like years since he had been at Hogwarts but it was only a few months. He couldn't believe what had been going on in his life and couldn't really do I think to help it or fix it. He lied back looking at the sky it was cloudy and there was a small breeze but he still thought it was a great day. It was only his third day back and everything seemed to be going to great. A lot of people seemed to have noticed him being gone and sent letters but when he got them he either had no time or wasn't in the mood to answer friends letters.
He lied there and closed his eyes thinking about his mom and if she was ok. She was the reason he had to leave Hogwarts without a word. She had some type of brain seizure and the doctors didn't know if she would make it. So he left Hogwarts and stayed by her side the whole time she was in the hospital. Even after she was out of the hospital he stayed with her a month there just to make sure she was going to be alright. The doctors couldn't believe she survived but they said if she lived through that she would be fine for a long while.
Thomas opened his eyes and tried to think of something else. He watched a few of the clouds pass by and thought about the shape they were in. then he thought about his frog, Frogger , which he hadn't seen him the whole time at Hogwarts. As soon as he got here the thing just hopped of. ” I guess he had friends to say hello to also." He thought then laughed. He soon heard footsteps but he didn't look over he just looked up at the sky.

Rosaliz sat in a pool of moonlight on the Hogwarts grounds. There was something about the moon that had always been comforting to her. Now she needed it. With her father threatening to take her away from Hogwarts, and of course the recent problems with all the Death Eaters, she just needed time to think. I sighed for what seemed the hundredth time today, and plopped down onto the springy grass, drawing my knees up to my chest and hugging them. So much had changed since a year before. In reality it was really less than a year. The Death Eaters were out and about, and any minute could chose to make an appearance at Hogwarts. The forest had never really interested Rosaliz much before, only a symbol of mystery and danger that she'd never wanted to go into. The forest was a mass of blackness... and foreboding with the new dangers inside. Strange to think that with its newest threat of the Death Eaters, she suddenly wanted to go inside and explore the trees. But possible injury and death wasn't the only thing on my mind tonight. Something else...on the positive side, and yet, it was causing me a bit of grief too. "Attacks..." she whispered into the light wind. She wasn't sure of her own feelings, but was almost certain everything had its reasons. Allowing herself a small smile, her stomach did the tiniest series of somersaults. It was like nothing she'd ever felt before, exciting and frightening at the same time. She just didn't know what to do...her brain and heart were all jumbled up.
Sitting in the light of the almost full moon she instantly felt calmer than she had before. Every blade of grass was tinted pearly gray with sharp shadows that felt like they would slice you if you weren't careful. They sky was breath taking, filled with millions and millions of stars, all visible on this cloud free night.... and it was doubled in beauty. The lake reflected the sky perfectly, not a ripple disfigured the clear surface. After staring at it for so long she began to wonder which was the real thing and which image the reflection. For as long as she could remember the moonlight had helped her. When she younger and was scared at night from the believing they lived under her bed, she'd clutch her stuffed bear and sit on her window seat bathed in moonlight for protection. When her mother had died she had gone up onto her roof and sat in the light of the full moon for hours and just cried. It had always been there for her as a source of comfort. Lighting her way. Now she needed its calming, cool feeling once more. And she wasn't disappointed. Rosaliz clutched her robes to her tighter and sat still as can be in the warm breezy night. She closed letting the warm breeze wash over her, soothing all the turmoil that was churning inside. She'd always preferred the night to the day, probably because less people were out and it just seemed calmer in a way. She definitely wanted...needed a little peace. Taking her time with each step, eyes kept on the grass that was stained a slight shade of silver from the moonlight; she made her way out further onto the lawn. As another small gust blew at her hair, she closed her eyes again and let herself be lost in the night.
Rosaliz continued walking in her thoughts this time near the nice glossy lake. She loved the clam feeling it had to it. She walked around the edge of it not noticing where she was going. But she only made three steps, until tripping on something, twisting her ankle while at it and fell backwards, smacking hard into the water. Her head was filled with rushing blood. What did I trip over? She thought. But the again she was drowning. She needed help. She didn’t know how to swim!!!! Rosaliz splashed in horror…she tried to inhale some air but she only tons swallowed water. She struggled on getting out, but was pulled even more into the deep end. She was under the water hoping for somebody to rescue her. She knew the probability was slim to none because nobody would have been out during the night. She fought it trying to get out of the water until she lost conciseness being surrounded by black.

He sat there looking up at the sky still hearing the footsteps get a little louder but still some distance away. He didn't mind it was a free lake, he thought closing his eyes. He thought about how nice it would be to be in class again at lest defense against the dark arts he could do without ever seeing potions again. Well he would still need it in the future but maybe go to potions just a little less. Still he didn't want to go to any classes with all the work he would have to make up. Go thing he had a friend who saved every piece of work she ever did so he might get to copy a few answers and save him of being overloaded but he still have to make up over 3 months of class work. "No... 3 Months of potions work plus this month... this can't be." He said quietly. Even with that he was still happy to be back and do magic, the whole time he was gone he practiced the movements for spells that he knew and others that he didn't.
He opened his eyes when he heard a huge splash in a lake. "Swimming at night doesn't sound that bad but not for me." He said getting up to see where the splash came from. He looked over to see huge splashing then the splashing stopped all of a sudden he had the felling something was wrong. He started running over. "If I get over there and it’s nothing..." He said as he ran to where the splashing was. He finally made it to where the splashing seemed to be coming from and looked around but he didn't see much. 'Maybe it was just the giant..." He stopped seeing what looked like blonde hair below the surface of the lake.
"Not good." He said and not even thinking about it, he jumped in. Swimming after the hair which is the only part he could really make out. Finally he made it to the hair and he could see some robes so he grabbed the robes and pulled the person up so she could breathe. So far he could tell it was a girl but he was too much in a hurry to see who it really was. He started to swim back to the lake edge and finally made it pulling her up behind him. He lied her on her back and she seemed to breathing ok but she was unconscious.. He was going to get some help but waited a second to think about what to do he was too confused. In the time he thought he finally had time to look at her face. "wait I know you.." He said and it all came back to him.
He finally gave up thinking of what to do. "Well she's breathing." He checked one more time. "Check, She ok ... but she’s unconscious…” He said talking to himself. "I really am not looking forward to this." He said picking her up and carrying her on his back and started walking to the castle. "I just can’t wait to see how much detention I get for this." He said looking at her as he walked. Don't worry we’ll be there soon." He said talking like she could hear him, maybe she could.
