Tired of walking (anyone)

As usual on weekends Brook was bored, sometimes she went exploring, but she didn't feel like right then so she got out of bed and put on s dark orange hoodie that supported the Texas Longhorns, and some dark blue jeans.She brushed her long brown hair, grabbed her stuff, and then practically flew out the door. She arrived outside completely out of breath considering she had just sprinted as fast as she could all the way outside from the Ravenclaw common room. She was never really a good runner because she ran out of breath really fast, and she hated that, so instead of sitting around sulking, like some people would do, she ran everywhere trying to improve this problem.


After a while of walking around Brook set herself down against a tree, pulled out her book and started reading. She had just gotten to page fifty-eight when her book fell into complete shadow. She looked up to see who it was and saw......

Mitch was in the grounds with his owl Finn like he normally was on the weekend , he and Finn were heading toward the lake as they usually did . Mitch watched as Finn disappeared in to the forest while Mitch waited for his pet owl to return he walk to the the nearest tree .Mitch wasn't looking at the tree until he was right at the base , he turned to see he was about to stand on Brook , Mitch took a step back and said '' Hi Brook, Long time no see '' Mitch sat down in front of Brook and waited for Finn to come back

"Oh.. hi Mitch, I am suprised you actually came to say hi in public, no offense or anything." said Brook, she really was suprised, she decided that Mitch was a nice Slytherin and just acted meaner when he was actual;y in front of other Slytherins. "So, was that your owl?"she asked seeing it fly away from his direction. She looked down at her book forgeting her page she marked it, and then she closed it and put it away, ready for a conversation, hopefully anyway.

She stood up, and hung her bag on the tree limb a bove her head, since this was her favorite tree she knew where to put her bag and things of that nature.

Mitch smiled and said '' yeah but if we see any other Slytherin's I'm giving you a hard time or some thing along those lines'' Mitch finished with a little laugh to show he was joking . Mitch then looked up to the skys trying to see his owl he then looked down and over to Brook and said '' yeah but he always flys off and in to the woods im normaly just left out here by myself''.

"Oh..so why is a Slytherin like yourself out here on a day like this?" Brook asked him, seeing as not to many people were out here since the sky was starting to get really cloudy, Brook figured it was about to rain. She got up again and took out a bottle of water that she had grabbed from a stack in her room that she shared with the other girls she took a small sip and said"Do you want one, I have another in my bag?"

Mitch answered her with a simple ''na, im good '' and then set to answering the other question she had asked , Mitch looked up at the sky to see if Finn was back from the forest yet , but with out seeing a single feather he looked back down .'' I am out hear with my owl and if he comes back before its starts to rain i would be very greatful'' Mitch looked back up into the sky and watched as the clouds grew in size and took over the sky '' and from the looks of things it may start raining soon, and why are you out here Brook if i mite ask?.

"Well," she said simply "I am bored. as usual!" And she was, she never had anything to do on the weekends, she didn't mind though. She could usualy find something to do like writing muggle stories, as a hobby, reading, and loads of other stuff. She was looking across the grounds and saw a nother owl flying a cross the grounds, yes she thought, my owl is back, I guess I will check it later though. She looked over at Mitch wondering still why he was here and not with other friends she took a nother sip of water.


Thinking about why he wasn't with his friends made her wonder where all her other friends were. They usually were in the common room until about one, but today not one of them was there, which Brook thought was completely odd. She sat down her water and got a book that she was going to finish with a flip of about four pages.

Danielle looked outside from a window onto the grounds. The sky had begun to look cloudy. Maybe it will rain.Rain is nice...unless you are a cat of course! She thought. Turning away from the window she smiled brightly. "Now where is that outfit? I just laid it out a minute ago..." She said to herself. After a few moments she realized that she'd accidentally knocked them off of her bed and onto the floor. Grinning she scooped them up and tossed them in her trunk. "Guess I'll need a new outfit. Those were on the floor." She looked for five minutes and found a pair of jeans, a white tee shirt and a red sweater that she'd gotten for Christmas. Pulling on her tennis shoes she lost her balance and fell on the floor. "Ow!" Danielle yelled, even though she wasn't hurt she hadn't expected to fall over. Still in a good mood she hurriedly tied the shoelaces and grabbed her bag. Stuffing a book, a pack of gum and a pen in it she ran down to the common room. Just as she was leaving her brother spoke. "Where are you going? It's about to rain out there!" He said it as if she were crazy. "I am going outside. And yes I know it's about to rain. Buh bye!" She called happily and went through the portrait hole.

Being in a really good mood meant that Danielle was more hyper than ever. Thus causing her to skip all the way outside, bumping in to a few people on the way. Once outside of the castle she took a deep breath. "Fresh air!" She yelled. Giggling she ran as far out as she could until she ran out of breath. Panting she looked up and saw her friends. Well, a friend. She wasn't exactly sure if Mitch was a friend yet since she hadn't decided yet. After she had caught her breath she calmly walked up to them. O.k. I'm just playing, that's the exact opposite of what she did. What really happened was this. Danielle ran as fast as she could screaming, "Hey, Brook! Hello Mitch!" While waving her arms in the air. She came to a stop in front of them. "Hey guys! It might rain! Isn't that awesome!? I absolutely love rain don't you? Mitch, shouldn't you be with the other Slytherins? Hey I just noticed something. See SLY-the-rins! 'Cause Slytherins are sly and stuff. It fits in the name. That is really funny." Danielle said in one breath. She then began to laugh hysterically, barely hearing their responses.

Brook looked down at her book and then looked up startled at the newest voice. It was Danielle. "Uh... Hey! What's up?" she replied wondering why Danielle was so hyper. " I guess it is awesome that it might rain though I am sort of unsure!" she said again. Wow how can she talk so fast Brook wondered until she noticed that Danielle hadn't been breathing. "How have you been, Danielle?"

Danielle stopped laughing and leaned against the tree. "Yeah, my brother thinks I'm crazy for coming outside when it might rain though. He has issues." Danielle said smiling brightly. "I've been good. What about you? See this sweater? Got it for Christmas from my parents, cute huh? I love it!! Red's my favorite color now. How was your Christmas, how many presents did you get? I got about five I think."

"You talk really fast!" Brook declared as she heard all of the questions coming out of Danielle's mouth. "Uh...My Christmas was fine, I think I got about fifteen presents from my family because my mom felt bad for making me mad which made me end up staying in hogwarts." she said taking a breath and then "How 'bout you Mitch? What was your Christmas like?"
