Other than climbing trees, Photography was Kelly's second love(Unles you count her baby sister, Amber in that list, then it would be third) So, why not put her two favorite things together? Seemed like a perfect idea to Kelly. She was starting to realize she had way to many photos of Amber, and needed something else to take photos of. Yes, Flowers were pretty to capture a still of, but nothing compared to the Hogwarts castle, from the top of a tree. Who wouldn't want to take a photo from a huge osk tree, risking falling and breaking something? Kelly would. and thats exactly what she was doing one day, searching for her Cameras carrier bag, and making sure there was lotsof film left in the camera.
Leaving the Gryffindor Common room, Kelly hummed a song in her head. She turned around corners and went down stairs, until she reached the door leading outside. Kelly stepped out and smiled. It was a nice day. Not too cold, but not exactly warm. Kelly searched for a perfect tree. Kelly Smiled as she spotted a huge tree, that looked perfect for climbng. Kelly Walked over to the tree and looked up. It was certaintly high. She glanced back at the castle, seeing how high she might have to go. Kelly didn't mind if it was all to the top. Climbing trees is what Kelly loved.
Kelly slinged the Camera bag over her head, so it rested on her shoulder, and started to climb. There were lots of branches, so it was very easy to climb, and the bark wasn't too slippery, and didn't break. It was basicly a perfect tree. Kelly got to the top and looked down at the other students that were talking, playing, whatever they were doing. She then looked over to the lake. It looked a bit dull. But The castle looked fantstic. Kelly took her camera out of her bag, and checked everything over again. She then raised the camera to her eyes, and started to take shots of the castle. After awhile, Kelly's legs grew tired, from supporting her in the tree, so Kelly swung her legs around, and hung them down the tree, before knocking her cameras bag down onto the ground. Kelly sighed and started to climb down, but realized there was another girl nearby where the bag fell, so Kelly called out to her. "Excuse me! Um, can you pass me up that bag there?" Kelly asked her, making sure the girl didn't think she was being talked to an invisible person, because Kelly was in the tree, and not on the ground.

Cathy leaned up against a large oak tree, shifting her shoulders until she was comfortable. "Perfect." She muttered, happy with her choice of tree. She liked leaning against trees such as this. Of course she was very particular about how tall, fat, and hard the tree was, but in the end it all went well. With her she had brought homework out. Hopefully this prospect would lighten up since she was outside in the sun, which was pouring friendly rays in her eyes. Smiling widely, Catherine took out her ink bottle and with great caution placed it in a grass thicket closest to her. She hoped the blades of dead grass would hold it there without it falling and consequently spilling ink everywhere. Dipping her newest feather quill in the bottle, Cathy put it to the parchment she had recently gotten out, and began to write the essay due in two days.
Homework was not always a favorite of Cathy's. In fact, it was one of the boring aspects that had to make up a day. She was about finished with the whole thing when she heard a soft thump in front of her. Hello? Unsure where the black thing could have come from, Cathy looked around, craning her neck all over. Nothing. "Oh." Cathy breathed after getting a wicked scare. Someone was talking from in the tree. The tall oak tree that Cathy was relaxing under. Standing, Cathy put her homework back in her bag and walked over to the black thing, which turned out to be a camera case. Still puzzled, Catherine leaned her head back as far as it could go and looked up. Yes, someone was there among the leaves that had lent Cathy some shade so gratefully.
"Okay." She called up, wondering if her voice had carried far enough for the girl to hear her as she bent down, closing her fingers around the case. It felt strange to the touch, and a little bit of a strange looker too. Cathy wasn't one for cameras. I mean, why get one when every month they came out with a new and better model? Cathy could capture images in her mind anyway. They were always better that way. "Uh..." A complication came as Cathy stared up at the girl with a raised eyebrow. It had to be a girl, as the voice was feminine and, as she thought back to it, slightly familiar. Very familiar, actually. Still befuddled, Cathy took the problem into her own hands. And voice. "Should I just, like, throw it at you, or..." Cathy asked, knowing that she would not climb up the tree just to give her the case. No way.

As Kelly ealned over the branches of the tree, she found herself facing the ground. "Woah..." She whispered. This was probable the highest she had climbed. Most of the Trees in the backyard at Kelly's home, were small, and one of them had a small treehouse, although Kelly was too big for it, but she would still climb onto the threehouse, and even on top of it. Kelly didn't see herself as a dare-devil. they were the people who would ride on Motorbikes, and go through a ring of fire, while doing something else that couldn't be possible, and very dangerouns. ll Kelly was doing, was climb trees. If little seven year old kids were that brave, and had enough imagination, then why couldn't Kelly? She wondered this for a while, but was brought back to land...well as close as Kelly could get, as she geard the girl respond.
Kelly could see the problem. She was too high for the cae to be thrown up, but Kelly couldn't climb down, while holding her camera(She had tried before. Lots and lots of money later) "Hmm...Well, maybe, you could..." Kelly Shielded her eyes from the sun, and looked at the girl again.
Kelly looked around, seeing if she could get an idea. She saw a small flat space, between three braches. Then Kelly got an idea, carefuly, she placed her camera on the space, making sure it would have no way of falling. Then, ever so carefully, She climbed down, making sure she wouldn't knock the camera off, when she swung her legs around. Kelly got closer to the ground and jumped the rest of the way, only stumbling slightly. "Oh! Hi Cathy!" Kelly smiled when she saw the Fellow Griffie.

Cathy heard some grumblings going up in the tree. Something about could and you. It was hard to hear anything unless the correspondent was shouting at the top of their lungs. Heck, it made sense. Look at how tall that tree is! The sun was starting to peak out from behind the clouds and filter a friendly stream of light her way. Ignoring this, she fiddled with the strap of the camera case. What a predicament. She could just leave the case here and the girl could get it when she clambered down that mountain of a tree, or she could climb up there and risk breaking her neck. The first seemed more likely to happen, but in the end Cathy didn't have to decide. The girl was climbing down. She watched, impressed, as she made it down unharmed.
"Hey!" The girl she quickly identified as Kelly. No wonder the voice had awaken a memory. She grinned and handed over the camera case. "Here you go. Sorry you had to climb down here to get it, but heights just aren't my thing, you know?" When the case was safely in Kelly's hands, she looked her fellow dorm mate over. She was looking good, and Cathy liked the smile that was playing across her lips. It was always good to see a friend, even if she and Kelly had never gotten to actually know each other. "Where's the camera?" She asked, perturbed as the case had no camera to cover. What was the use of that? Raising an eyebrow, Cathy looked around for a camera. Nothing to be seen, excluding her own bag, which was of no importance to this conversation. With a shrug, Cathy returned her gaze to Kelly. "Oh!" A sudden realization gripped her. "Is it still up in the tree?" She looked up, and sure enough there was something among the branches, something that resembled a camera.

Kelly took the case, with the smile still on her face. She knew Cathy, But they had hardly knew each other. Sure, they were in the same house, and year, but the thought of actually talking to Cathy, hadn't really crossed her mind. From what Kelly knew, Cathy was a nice person, so Kelly thought there was no need to run away. Cathy had started looking around, after asking Kelly where her camera. Kelly remained silent. She bit her lower lip, and looked back up at the tree, as Cathy soon realized where the camera was. Kelly smiled again, and shrugged. "It's OK, I'll get it. since hights aren't your thing." She laughed and quick as a flash, she was climbing the tree again.
She eventually got to the spot where she had left her camera. She hadn't realized that she was climbing for a long time the first time she had gone up. She certainly realized this as she went up the second time. Kelly reached up to another branch, and pulled herself up. She had put the case around her neck, so she would be able to take the camera down with her this time. Kelly grabbed the camera, and carefully put it in its case, trying not to drop it again. She had grown very fond of this camera. It had lasted longer tan the last one had.
With the camera safely in the case, Kelly climbed down again. She didn't want to ignore Cathy, after she had been so nice, and had given Kelly her case, even though Kelly had to climb down, when she didn't really want to. Kelly once again jumped to the ground, feeling the soft grass beneath her, Kelly tucked a few stray hairs behind her ears and smiled once again at Cathy. "See? Safe and sound!"
