Meyghan knew that it was cold outside, but she didn't care, she only hoped that there was someone out on the grounds that she could talk to. She was so excited, and felt as if she would explode if she didn't talk to someone. Meyghan hadn't been awake long, but then she had barely been able to sleep the night before. She bounced out of bed, trying to not disturb the others in her dorm, and quickly grabbed something to wear. Meyghan seemed to look right in what ever she had on, so she grabbed a pair of black jeans that were embroidered with stars, and a light blue sweater. She topped it off with her best black boots, and her favorite jean jacket. She lightly powdered her face, and brushed her hair, letting it fall around her shoulders.
Meyghan started singing the minute she made it into the common room, and sang all the way out to the grounds. She knew what had caused this wonderful mood, and in a way, wished that she could see the reason for her mood. But, the only thought that sadden Meyghan was the lack of knowing if her feelings were shared. She continued with the idea that she needed to talk to someone.
Meyghan finally got outside, to see the grounds covered in beautiful white snow. That didn't matter though. Meyghan had to be outside, it was where she needed to be to stop from bursting. She needed to talk to someone as well. Searching the grounds, she wasn't sure if she could spot anyone she could talk to about it. Then she remembered the swing near the lake. She had met Dana there once. Meyghan made her way to the swing hoping that if no one was there, someone would come around that way soon.
Meyghan found the swing, noticed it was empty for the moment, and decided to sit and wait. Surely, someone I can talk to will come this way She thought as she waited.

Dana yelped loudly tumbling off her broom and letting out a yell as she fell towards the grounds. It most likely was the lack of her own grace on a broom-stick but luckily her team was somewhat used to her irregular stumblings already. Opening her eyes that had been squeezed shut Dana glanced upwards and waved meekly at Ryan who had obviously been the one to stop her fall with a quick spell this time. Slowly her body floated to the ground and Dana groaned laying on the ground for a couple of moments. “I suppose this means that the practice is over for today,” Ryan said with a smirk as Dana mumbled incoherently while waving the Ravenclaw quidditch team away. And climbing to her feet. She would have to make a couple of rounds now with her broom so she wouldn’t be scared of the idea of falling once again. Walking to the quidditch room Dana floated the chest with the 4 balls over as well and made sure to put everything properly back at it’s places before returning to the quidditch pitch.
“Up!” Dana told the Nimbus 2000 rather forcefully as the broom she had left on the ground jumped obediently into her hand. Throwing her leg over the broom Dana pushed off and circled the pitch a few times slowly, not at all pushing the broom to the fastest it could go. Why, going too fast caused bugs to be flattened against you – which was rather icky, in Dana’s personal opinion – but it was dangerous, pointless and rather disasterous for your hair. Not really finding much else to stare at while circling the quidditch pitch Dana rose higher and flew over the stands circling the grounds lazily when she heard a singing voice. A rather good tune, so Dana turned her broom to go and investigate who was singing.
Smiling at the familiar head Dana stopped the broom near the swing they had first met at with Meyghan and smiled at the 5th year Ravenclaw while her feet where a couple of inches above the ground: “And we meet again at the same spot even though without the sunrise. You seem happy today though. How have you been doing?”

Meyghan didn't realize that she was still singing as she sat and pushed herself on the swing. She was staring out over the lake, thinking about the one thing that had put her in such a happy mood. She had almost completely forgot that she was at school, and that there was other students bustling about.
Suddenly, Meyghan snapped out of her happy little day dream at the sound of a female voice. She looked around to see Dana. "What a coincidence. I'm in a wonderful mood, and have been doing well." Meyghan said in a sing-song voice. Meyghan knew that her mood was showing all over her face, but there was nothing she could do about it. She was truly happy, and hoped things would work out to where she would get her way about the way she was feeling.
"Dana. I feel like I'm going to burst with happiness. I didn't think I could get this happy, but I feel like I'm going to explode. There's only one thing that is making me feel this way, though." She said, hoping Dana wouldn't mind talking about it. Meyghan stopped the swing, stood up and offered the swing to Dana. Meyghan almost felt as if she couldn't stay still. She wanted to shout and dance and sing. She felt as if she could fly without a broom, or spell.

Dana smiled at Meyghan with a bit of a surprise at how happy she sounded. Grinning at Meyghan’s words that she was about to brush Dana smiled and descended to the ground from her broomstick. Not feeling particularly tired, Dana shook her head as she calmly leaned against the tree-stump as she smiled at Meyghan. “Should I prepare myself and fetch an umbrella? Before you actually burst because I rather like this jacket and would hate to have it spoiled, when you blow up,” Dana said teasingly as she pulled her hair free from the messy pony-tail she had put them in for the quidditch practice. Settling calmly so she was feeling comfortable Dana smiled at Meyghan rather happily, almost enjoying the cold winter’s air as well.
Smiling at her friend Dana arched her eye-brows expectantly: “Well? What has put you into such a good mood? I’m waiting for the story and details! And you better not forget anything. Share the news with me!” Dana poked Meyghan teasingly in the ribs as if prompting an answer form the other girl this way. But who wouldn’t want to hear good and happy things? Especially if they made your friends smile so happily? “Now talk! And that’s an order, missie!” Dana said with a wicked grin and a wink s if Meyghan’s good mood was contagious.

Meyghan wasn't sure how to begin her story. "I think I finally have a crush on someone. I'm not sure how he feels about me though." Knowing that Dana would want more details about it, Meyghan tried to think of what all she could tell Dana.
Meyghan smiled again at the thought of the adorable guy that she had met previously in Hogsmeade. They hadn't really had a full conversation yet, but he had said hi. "You know that fifth year, Jamison. Well, I think I really like him. I mean I haven't really talked to him, but there's just something about him. We have classes together and we are in the same house, so I don't know why I haven't talked to him yet. I want to get to know him better." Meyghan continued to babble for a few more minutes on the subject of the boy. Suddenly she quieten, "Dana, I have never really felt like this around a boy, How would I talk to him. I really want to get to know him better. Can you help me?" Meyghan wasn't sure what Dana's response to the question would be, if she would even have a response.
Meyghan twirled herself around, and suddenly noticed that she was getting nervous for some reason.

Dana grinned as Meyghan admitted having a crush. So that was the reason for her floating above ground with stars in her eyes, so to say. Boys were neat really. Irreplaceable while you were moving and couldn’t use magic to make things float, and who else would bring you flowers and make compliments? A compliment was much more fun if it came from a guy, than a good female friend, because you didn’t really dress to impress other girls, did you? Just as Dana was about to ask who Meyghan was crushing on in the end Meyhgan told the name. Jamison. Dana blinked rather dumbly thinking back and trying to find some face to go with the name as nothing popped to mind immediately. Finally making somewhat of a connection to an other 5th year Dana shrugged a bit tentatively: “I have to admit that I have never really spoken to him either. I’m not even completely sure I know right now, who you are thinking about? I might confuse him with an other Ravenclaw 5th year boy.”
Looking at MEyghan curiously Dana wondered what was she supposed to answer. Meyghan couldn’t talk with the guy and expected Dana to help. How was she supposed to do that? Drink polyjuice and pretend to be Meyghan? Or be around during their next meeting and pass aeverything Meyghan says on to Jamison like an owl? Why did people even ask advice about their love-lives from Dana? She had never even been in love or crushed on someone besides Santa Claus when she was 5! How was she supposed to know how to handle guys, because all guys she knew were either friends or someone she didn’t care about. The only reason why she managed to stay calm around them. “Be you. You are great, so how could he not return your feelings, if you are simply you? And how could I help you? I’ll just watch and tease you – I admit that I will do that, because it’s almost my duty as a friend! – but how do you expect me to be able to help? But tell me more. How did you two meet and started talking then so suddenly? What is he like?”
