Dominic pulled his jacket tightly around himself as he stood outside the castle under a tree. The weather was quite chilly, but at least it wasn't raining or snowing. He wanted to take Victoria on a walk around the grounds. It was amazing the little places you never found while walking with yourself, it was like it was magically enchanted to appear only when two people were walking together. He knew this because of the many races Damien and he had around the castle over the years. Dominic smiled at the memory. His brother was truly a friend and he would never desert Dominic. A cold wind blew through and he looked up at the darkening sky. The sun had nearly set behind the horizon. The last few rays of light were slowly dimming. Dominic shivered at the cold wind and then sighed in stupidity. Why was he such an idiot some times?
Dominic cursed himself as he pulled out his wand. Muttering a spell to himself a warmth engulfed him and it seemed to make a shelter around him. He could no longer feel the wind against his skin. Magic was so obvious sometimes and yet he forgot about it. He forgot about the one thing that was more prominent to him than anything. He knew he couldn't live without magic. He remembered those days in St. Mungo's when magic was prohibited around him. Those could years had been horrible. He held his wand in his hand staring down at the wood. He guarded his wand as much as he guarded his brother. Sighing, Dominic stuck his wand back into his jacket pocket and looked around. The wind was blowing hard now, but he couldn't feel it at all. It was nice and warm inside his bubble of magic.
Dominic sat down and leaned against the tree. He would stand when he saw Victoria. 'Victoria,' Dominic said to himself as a smile spread across his face. She was quite the girl. Amazing really. She was strong in just about every sense. She was exciting and last night had been extraordinary. The Halloween Ball had been great and then staying up most of the night with her had been amazing. They had talked quite a bit last night. He hoped that she would consider going on a date with him to Hogsmeade. Dominic felt he could tell her about his past. No one except his brother knew about his past, but Dominic hoped that Victoria would be the first to know and that she would stay with him.
Dominic sighed again. His past was a whole different issue. He hadn't made any progress on his plans since he got here. He only had a year and half before he graduated. He had been sure that he would fulfill his mission while he was still in Hogwarts. However, he hadn't heard any word about his parents. How could they do this to him? Dominic's anger rose slightly as he continued to think about his past and his parents. He wanted nothing more than to give them what was coming to them, but he couldn't if he didn't know where they were. He didn't even know if they were still alive. He hoped they were so he could kill them.
Dominic snapped out of his daydream of death as a looked down at the dead grass. A small flower was trying to survive the November weather. He pulled out his wand and pointed it at the flower. Without saying anything, blue and green sparks emitted from the wand. As the sparks circled around the flower it grew faster and larger. The colors of the petals were a multi color. It was beautiful. He pocketed his wand once again and picked the flower. Looking at it's beauty, he smiled. This flower would be a perfect gift for Victoria. It was a rare flower, an individual, and it was gorgeous. It had all the same characteristics as Victoria. He just hoped she would appreciate it. He chuckled as he looked down, of course she would. She was beautiful and so was this flower, unfortunately the flower wasn't as beautiful, but it would due. Dominic heard a sound near him and he quickly stood and turned with the flower held out before him.
