Emma smiled. The day was beautiful- sunny, not too much wind but not too little either. Armani her owl was in a good mood, flying above Emma happily, and her spell practising was going very well. Leaning back, Emma looked up to the sky. It looked like a big swimming pool- with several white air beds floating in it. Smiling at this, Emma closed her eyes. The perfect day for a little outside snooze, she thought to herself. In five minutes she would get up and go a revise for Herbology. Or, maybe ten...

Sadie had been walking along the grounds of the school, when she saw a very beautiful owl flying in circles around a tree. She decided to walk over that way and see what was making the owl fly in circles like it was.
As Sadie got closer to the area the owl was flying in, she noticed that there was a girl sitting under a tree, practicing some of the spells that they had been learning in school. The girl looked younger than Sadie, but that didn't matter to Sadie.
" Hi, Is that your owl?" Sadie asked as she walked over to the girl.

"Hi, is that your owl?" The words shot through Emma like a pistol, smashing her thoughts, which were about dancing elephants in socks. Emma looked up, to see Sadie, who she had talked to a couple of times. Sitting up and smiling, Emma gestured to the grass beside her. "Yup, thats Armani. Sadie-right?" Emma questioned.

Sadie sat down beside Emma, smiling at her. Sadie remembered talking to her a few times, but not what any of the conversations had been about. Sadie really had been more worried about her two best friends more than anything.
" The owl really is beautiful. Mine must either still be gone hunting or up in the tower. She doesn't like to come out a lot." Sadie said looking up to see if she could spot Colena.
As Sadie looked around the clear skies for her owl, she noticed the unusual shapes in the clouds. She had never noticed them before, but they were pretty. Even the clouds looked like birds that had been soaring through the air.
" I didn't mean to startle you. I just saw Armani from a distance and couldn't tell the colors of it, and wanted to make sure that it wasn't Colena." Sadie said as she started to laugh. How could she confuse another bird for hers. Well, most of the other owls anyway. There were one or two others that were somewhat easy to confuse with Colena but Sadie would never compare those owls to hers.

Emma listened to Sadie with a smile. Armani wasn't often confused with another owl, but it was possible that there was another gorgeous bird in the world! Whistling to Armani, Emma grinned. The owl flew smoothly down, swooping up at the last moment to settle her claws onto Emma's knees. She looked happier than Emma had ever seen her- and she even gave a small chirrup headed towards Sadie.
"Is your owl like Armani then?"

"Colena is a snowy owl. She looks a lot like Harry's owl but she has different types of markings." Sadie said smiling as the owl chirruped at her.
Sadie loved her owl, and was hoping that Colena would soon return with her broom. She couldn't wait to get on it. She wanted so badly to practice flying and to work on her Quidditch. She was hoping to do well and be able to join the team, but it seemed that if the owl didn't hurry back with the broom, it would never happen.
" So, do you like Quidditch?" Sadie asked just trying to make small talk. Sadie wasn't good with talking to new people and didn't know really what to talk about.
