Ryan wasmoving lazily across the grounds. He had just finished quidditch practice and as always that put him in a good mood. Ryan ADORED quidditch. A like Aristocratic, D like Delicate, O as Outstanding, R as Ravishing, E as Execellent and D like Domestic. Yup, Ryan adored quidditch. Perhpas the love for the sport had been in his genes ever since he was born? His father played professional after all. And mom dind’t have any arguements about travelling with his dad to see all of his games. Keeping the muggle foot-ball rolling in front of himself idly as he walked by the lake-side. Practice had been good today. He had managed to score a nice number of time. SO even though it showed that their keeper perhaps hand’t had that good of a day today, Ryan felt good about himself. Proud even.
Waving to a team-member who was passing Ryan kicked the ball and made a hand-stand by the lake-side, tring to level himself on a piece of rock. The first try dind’t really work and Ryan rather awkwardly fell back onto his feet. Tucking his T-shirt back into his bit worn jeans and pulling the thick Ravenclaw sweater back to look nice neough Ryan took a deep breath. Positioning his hands agian Gary tried again raising to stand on his hands nicely now. Which brought a clear smile on Ryan’s face as he stayed a little on his hands. It really did give everything a whole new perspective!
Laughing and letting himself fall forward Ryan pulled himself to sit on the ground after doing a quick somersault. His whole family was rhater athlethic. Not obsessed with muscles, but they liked to stay in shape, jog and do sports. Acrobatics like this had been part of Ryan’s life pracitcally since he was born! His older sister still teased him about being able to do a better cartwheel then Ryan. Sitting and retying his shoelace – the reason why he had tried the hand-stand in the first place, Ryan was feeling himself rather good. Perhaps he could find someone interested in a quick football match? Or a qioc race or anything that required moving. Pondering whether he might know where to hunt down some of his friends Ryan remained sitting thoughtfully even after his shoe-lace was tied again.

Mandi looked around the empty common room. It seemed that everyone had the same idea. She looked at the rays of sunlight that passed through the windows and lit up the room. It was beautiful outside and it seemed that everyone was outside or somewhere enjoying the last of the good weather. She on the other hand was still inside. She hadn’t been real interested in going anyway, let alone outside in the sunlight. She wanted to dwell inside with her pity and sadness. Mandi turned to go back upstairs to her dorm room, when she looked back up at the sunlight. It was beautiful and she did deserve some happiness that day. She sighed to herself as she fought a battle in her head. Mandi turned back to the common room and headed for the portrait of the fat lady. The side that wanted to go outside had won. Stepping through the portrait she let herself smile. She hadn’t smiled in ages, not since before her aunt had been moved to the permanent ward in St. Mungo’s.
Mandi started down the tower steps and she closed her eyes. Feeling the cold stone wall beside her, she let it guide her down the stairs. All the while she listened to the clop clop clop of her shoes hit the stone stairs. Her jeans swished at each step she took while her long sleeved red shirt moved slightly at the movement of her body. She continued down the stairs with her eyes closed until she stumbled. She didn’t realize when she came to the floor and the feeling of stairs was still in her mind. As her foot went to connect with another stair it found the floor quickly and she stumbled forward opening her eyes with dread. She held out her hands and fell lightly to the ground. She erupted into laughter. She hadn’t done that in ages and she scared herself so bad by falling down the last stair. Mandi jumped to her feet in excitement. She hadn’t been this happy in ages and she knew that as the day went by she would be happy. She walked the corridors in a hurry during a continued giggle from the fall. Jumping down the next few flights of stairs with laughter, Mandi excitedly came to the front doors of Hogwarts.
Mandi smiled to herself as she opened the doors and was hit by sunlight. It warmed her blood and she eagerly jumped outside. The air was chilly, but the sun was bright and beautiful. She bounded down the rest of the stairs and did a front handspring into the grass near her. She missed the landing and fell on her butt. She laughed again as she sat there looking at the lake that lay before her. Her attention was taken from the lake and landed on boy who seemed to be just as excited as she was. He was performing handstands and somersaulted into a sitting position. Mandi was curious about him and she carefully rose from her sitting position and approached the sitting boy. “Hi, nice handstand!” Mandi said as she sat down near him. “My name is Mandi, I’m a 5th year in Gryffindor,” she said as she held out a hand for him to shake.

Ryan had just came to aoconclusion that he had no idea where to start looking ofr his friends that might want to play some ball-game. Ryan pondered quickly over te possibility of finding Ashley – he still had torule believing the girl had ACTUALLY agreed to come to the ball with him – but chased that thought away. He dind’t want to seem too pushy. Just then someone sat down next to him and Ryan glanced at the girl. Offering a light grin at the compliment of his hand-stand, Ryan just shook his shoudlers non-commitedly: „It’s a simply trick really. Just a bit of balance practice, but thanks. And I have seen you around in some of the classes. I’m Ryan. Obviously a fifth year as well, but from Ravenclaw,“ Ryan shook the girls hand easily as he stood from sitting on the ground offering a hand to help Mandi stand up as well.
„The ground is rather cold. Don’t think we actually ought to be sitting on it? You into acrobatics yourself? Not many people are. It’s fun really. Doing flips and hand-standsand somersaults and whatever else. My sister adores teasing me for not being able to do a backwards flip. But as long as it makes her happy, I try to not pay much attention to it,“ Ryan smiled at Mandi as he stretched lazily, trying to get the stiffness in his shoulder that came from a passing bludger out, "But I always get back by prooving I'm better at quiddithc. Simply adore that sport. But I'm babbling now, right? Feel free to kick me to make me shut up."

Mandi smiled as the boy brushed off her compliment. He obviously was rather humble. He introduced himself as Ryan and Mandi nodded. She had heard his name several times, but had never connected it with him. He stood and Mandi looked up at him. Ryan held his hand out for her and she took it. Allowing herself to go from sitting to standing. Looking around Mandi noticed a lot of students just milling around enjoying the last of the warm weather. It wouldn't be long now before snow was falling and the whole grounds were covered in it. She didn't really want that, but wasn't going to complain, it was still beautiful with the snow covered trees and the sound bouncing off of the glistening snow.
Mandi's attention turned back to Ryan as he began to speak rather unendingly. She smiled and tried to process all of what he was saying. "I used to do some somersaults and cartwheels, but that was in my young age. I prefer to watch as apposed to do. Like the muggle sport gymnastics. It's on muggle TV during the, what's it called, oh the Olympics. It's quite interesting to watch them do all these flips and stuff. Quidditch is quite interesting. Never really tried to play myself. My dad and I play back at my home, well before it took his new job. I like flying and that's about it. I don't know much about Quidditch, but I love watching it. Favorite team is Ireland. It was awesome when they won a few years ago. I was there, but anyway now I'm babbling," Mandi said with a smile as she finally shut her mouth.

„Why not do? I’m sure you could still do them now as well. And what are these... Olym... Olympus is a mountain in Greece, isn’t it?“ Ryan sent a rather confused look at Mandy. He was a pureblood and most certainly he didn’t know much about the muglge world. So some of what Mandi told him was comletely strange. „What do muggles do with a mountain? What can anyone do with a mountain?“ And to get a mountain into a TV. Ryan had learned about those in Muggle Studies, but he still had some problems grasping the whole concept of a TV. A box of moving pictures. But photos moved anyway! SO why would pictures had to be put into a box?
„I adore quidditch. I have bene playing it as a kid. Mother wasn’t very happy when dad took me and Maria – she’s my sister – out to play it no mtter the weather. But when we didn’t fall or hurt ourselves very badly, she dind’t really tell us no either. My parents are at France right now. Father had a game there – he plays Quidditch on a professional level. And the World Cup! It was simply amazing! I was glad Ireland won. I woulnd’t have wnated bulgaria to win. I’m not that big of a fan of Krum. Maybe I’m just jealous for his playing abilities, but,“ Ryan gave a quick grin and ran to bring back the football he had along. Fishing the ball out from the bush he had sent it into previosly Ryan returned to Mandi while twirling the ball between his hands lazily.
