Dana was dressed casually. She had spent a lot of time cooped inside this year. First all the troulbe with Kris, but he had pulled himself through of everything by himself. Or mostly by himself and acted as if he ruled the castle once again. There were those who didn’t like it, but Dana was glad to see her almost brother up ad bothering others again. And then she had her school-work to catch up. Luckily her grades hadn’t suffered the least while she wasn’t paying her coplete attention to her studies. Kris came before studies.
So Dana had decided to take today to herself. Just wander around and enjoy the late autumn. Even her clothes were casual. A pair of white sneakers, tight light-blue jeans that hugged her, a white button-up blouse and a matching jeans-jacket thrwn over her shoulders.
Her feet moved lightly as Dana half-jogged down the stairs and looked around. She didn’t want to go to the lake today. Everyone usually crowded around the lake. Dana wasn’t tempted by the Forbidden Forest – she valued her life more than some cheap thrill she’d get from there. But there were a lot more to the Grounds than the lake. So making her way around the castle Dana started to walk slowly in the opposite direction of the Hogwarts lake. She didn’t suppose she would run into very many people here. In fact she wasn’t even looking that much for the crowd of students today.
Leeting her mind travel to where it wanted Dana sauntered over the grounds almost carelessly not paying much attention to her surroundings. At least not until an unexpected site caught her eyes. What were flowers doing here in the middle of October? Sure, they were mere white blossoms, but it was still unexpected. A smile crossing her features Dana walked closer and bent to smell one of the flowers. Yup, these were most certainly been tampered with by magic to make them bloom again. Or make them still be blooming. Wondering who would have botehred to do this Dana smelled one of the flowers after picking. Feeling a bit of disappointed after not feeling any smell, Dana brushed the thought of idly. The blooms were pretty ehre this way right now, a not-fitting smell would just ruin the charm.
Wandering arond between the flowers Dana picked off a few from what seemed like a countless supply and with theft fingers started gathering the blooms together and braiding them into a garland, picking up new blossoms when as she walked. Finally settling down to kneel next to a bigger bush of flowers Dana started working on finishing the garland. Tying the two ends together with a piece of thread she found from her pocket Dana placed the made-shift crown on her head with a small grin. The blossoms contrasted nicely with her dark hair and matched with the white blouse. It was a lucky find to discover the flowers here. Pickingone more bloom Dana raised it to her nose with a small smile still displayed on her features. She wasn’t exactly an esthete but she appreciated beauty. And this scenery here was certainly looking glorious.
