A chat by the lake. (Aubree)

Cougar had decided that on a fine weekend day like this, he should be outside. He went for a walk around the grounds, taking in every detail. He saw that there were a few students that obviously felt as he did about the day. After about an hour of enjoying the ground, and what the other wizards/witches in training were doing he decided to sit by the lake, and enjoy the scenery.

He would have never gotten this kind of beauty at home, what with Cougar living in the city. He appreciated how the water of the lake was crystal and pure, and how the flowers made a color that you could never counter-feit. The sun was warm, so he could have went to sleep.

He noticed a beautiful Slytherin coming his way. He hoped she would stop to talk, because that would add to the perfectness of the day.

Aubree quickly made her way out of the common room. "Hrmm." She said out loud as she quickly left the Dungeons. She didn't like being hit on by the Slytherin boys. Aubree came from a noble family, but didn't want any contact with most of the argent boys. She opened the giant doors to the castle and continued her search for a place to sit. Aubree looked around her. She mainly saw first years. Many of them muggle-borns. Aubree's mother taught her how tell who is a muggle-born. She said muggle-borns usually looked at things longer than pure-bloods do. They also don't have the I'm better than you. Look on their faces.

Aubree trudged through the grounds. Knowing full well how stupid she looked. She found a spot on the ground, but first she brushed the leaves away. She didn't even noticed a student sitting close by her. Aubree was just trying to relax because she didn't have such a good day. She didn't even look to her side she just looked forward.

The Slytherin girl was standing right beside him, but didn't look at him. He wondered if she was ignoring him, or if she really didn't notice him. Cougar, clearly seeing that this girl was not going to talk to him like he had hoped, he decided he should say something.

"Hello." Cougar had said.

Cougar had a feeling in him that he believed that all Slytherins were snobs, it was just how much of one you were. Some were borderline, but others were real stuck up. Deciding on kind of a test, "Isn't it a wonderful day?" he asked. He saw a few Slytherin guys pass by, and stare at her as they went. She was stunning, but Cougar felt sorry for her that she had guys following her everywhere she went.

Maryn saw her usual heard of boys walking past her. "Go away Perry!" Maryn called to the Slytherin boy. She was so tired of him. "I can't believe them." She muttered out loud. They were looking at her weirder than usual. Why is that? At that point she didn't care she just wanted to get away.

At just that moment she heard a voice next to her. A boy said hello. "Geez." She said still not turning. "Why are you sitting here?" She asked. She didn't know who it is until she turned. It was a younger boy. Ravenclaw, I think. . Aubree really didn't care that he was in Ravenclaw, but she didn't like younger students. They reminded her too much of her sister Darmelle. Darmelle got all the credit in the Montogue house hold. Aubree's parents liked her better. "What are you looking at?" She said rudely. She wasn't in a very good mood. He then said it was a wonderful day. "Okay, I'm only going to say this once, if you are going to talk to me tell me something about you. Why you are in Ravenclaw or something like that." Aubree didn't just talk to everyone. She looked at the boy again. She could sense what her mother taught her. "Are you a muggle-born?" Aubree asked. Her mouth cringed when she said those words. She just couldn't bare it if she was talking to a muggle-born. She had too many sad memories with one and those memories turned it hatred.

Cougar, taken aback from the sudden burst of rudeness, decided she was one of the stuck up Slytherin's. She started talking to him, and he replied,"Why are you here?" In response to her question about why he was here,"I was looking at the lake when you barged in, and made a big scene. I'm not sure why I am in Ravenclaw, I suppose it is because I like to read and learn, but I am not the sorting hat, am I?" Cougar had decided he would be rude too. "Why are you in Slytherin?" Cougar hearing her next question answered, "Would it matter if I was or wasn't?" Cougar gave her enough time to answer that question, then, said,"I am a muggle-born."

Aubree sneered at him. What was he getting at? He younger than Aubree and treating her with no respect. Aubree saw he wanted to act like she was. She wouldn't let him so she decided to act meaner. "If you were so taken aback that I sat here you wouldn't have said Isn't it a wonderful day?. So, don't flatter yourself. I learn and study too, but I'm not in Ravenclaw so that didn't really answer my question. I'm in Slytherin because the sorting hat saw that I was good enough to be in the only house that matters." Aubree stated rudely.

She listen to him say he was a muggle born. Aubree felt steam rise up inside her. She despised muggle borns. She couldn't stand that they thought they were like everyone else. They weren't. Aubree still sat there, but her body was ridged she couldn't believe she had talked to a filthy muggle born. If her parents heard about this they would never think of her as a worthy Slytherin. Aubree couldn't let them treat her like that forever. "Filthy, Mugblood. Why on earth would you talk to me?" She said as she stood up. She cared that he was a muggle-born, but cared more that her parents could find out. She just stood there looking at him with a frown on her face.

Cougar felt that this girl had some serious issues. "Since Slytherin is so pure, and great why is the biggest, ugliest nose with a head the Slytherin head?" Cougar hoped that with that she might cool down and talk, but he doubted that it would work.

The boy made some stupid comment. Aubree just yawned. "Professor Snape could take you down in a second. So, I wouldn't be talking about him. Slytherin is better that any of the other houses. Who do you think is winning the war right now. We are. Becuase, we are trying to make you a servent like all the othe mudbloods." Aubree said sternly. She could take this little boy. Anyday, anytime.

Cougar thought of what it would be like if snape was to duel him. "Snape beat me? He would have to cast Riducio on his nose to see me." Cougar chuckled under his voice. Then, she made her remark on the war. "No, we are winning the war because we are giving power to the muggle-born, and they are doing something besides sitting on our big arse."Cougar had said. He didn't like the war.

"Are you so immature that you can't look past the fact that Snape has a big nose? He does, so what! And if you are winning the war then how many Death Eaters has the Ministry killed. None! How many other people have we killed. Many!. Well, I'm not going to talk to you about that. What I believe is your business." She yelled at him.

With that Cougar felt dumbfounded. He decided it best he stare at the lake and not say any more

The boy had nothing else to say. Aubree knew no one could beat her. She was too smart. Aubree had always tried hard to get anything she wanted and today she wanted to upset the boy and she succeeded. With that, she gave an evil smile and turned to head back to the common room. She felt much better now and wouldn't mind to chat with some of the Slytherin boys. Aubree was proof that just because you're pretty doesn't mean your not sure of what you want. She continue to walk away, but before she went into the castle she turned and looked back at the boy still looking defeated. "Pathetic." She said as she turned into the castle.
