‘Scanning, scanning, scanning, scanning, nothing’ Millie thought as she browed the shelves of the library. She wasn’t one to pour over a book for hours or anything but she liked having a book by her bedside for the nights she had trouble sleeping or when she was just in that calm mood with nothing else to do. There was nothing of interest in there apparently though and Millicent found herself disappointed. It was one of those lazy Thursday evenings in the school where if you aren’t doing your homework there is nothing to do and Millicent refused to do homework. The problem there was now Millicent had nothing she could do.
Frumpy purse in hand Millicent began to walk down the halls looking for something to pass the time. A giggling group of Hufflepuff girls signified she was passing the Student Lounge and Millicent grimaced; she hadn’t been in there for years. Always filled with mudblood filth not worthy of even attending Hogwarts never mind mingling with those of importance.
She leaned her back against the main doors then; maybe she could find something to do outside that would not require being in close contact with dirt. She scowled at people as she passed and chuckled to herself as some mudblood Ravenclaw second year lived up to the reputation of her house and ran off. She then lay in the grass to bask in the sun by the lake. Her hair played around her face in the wind and grey clouds passed overhead. Off in the distance the clouds darkened and looked like a storm might gather but from where Millicent was the sun still shone brightly and that was all that mattered; she loved the rain anyways.

Kori's days lately had been filled with boredom and studying. Having fallen out of contact with her "friends" she didn't socialise much, in fact, she completely gave up on talking to others she thought were worth a meaningful conversation. She had given up on everything that had to deal with talking to those who wanted to talk to her. So, she spent her days in the library, the common room, the great hall; surrounded by books. Her O.W.L.S were coming soon, and well, she needed to study for them- considering she wasn't doing too well in her classes. She had given up on those too, awhile ago, and it was now that she figured she should at least try and pass what little of classes she had left.
At the moment, however, she wasn't surrounded by textbooks and 10 rolls of parchment. She was in an empty classroom, her pointe shoes on and her music playing from somewhere in the room; where she was not quite sure. But the music was there, and it satisfied Kori. She hadn't had much time to dance lately, and today seemed to be the best to dance. After another 20 minutes of pointe, she knelt down and unlaced her shoes. Her feet swollen, and blistering already. That was the only bad part of dancing. She finished taking off her shoes and placed them in her dance bag, then slipped her tennis shoes on.
She left the room, carrying her dance bag, and pulling her honey blonde hair into a quick ponytail so that it wouldn't blow away in the breeze. She needed some fresh air- so she was heading outside. When Kori had last looked, the sun was out and shining all over the Hogwarts grounds, but now half of it was in darkness and the other half was in sunlight. Kori stared at this for a moment, before heading towards the lake where the sun was still shining.

Jack was in the library, his nose in a large textbook. He was trying to get in some study time before he went outside. He hadn't talked to anyone for a long time; he had been grumpy from lack of sleep and studing. His friends had left him alone, which made Jack angry, but now he just wanted to get outside and go do something. He looked out a window that was near him. The sky looked dark on one side and light on the other. Strange, Jack thought as he turned his attention back to his book. He couldn't wait to get outside now; Jack loved the rain and storms.
After reading in the library for a good thirty minutes, he strolled towards the Grounds. He opened the doors and headed outside. It hadn't started raining yet, but it looked like it just might. Jack saw some figures in the distants, Slytherins, he hoped. He headed towards the figures, wanting a good conversation that he hadn't had in a long time.

Post by Vincent Crabbe Jr. on Jun 5, 2005 10:34:09 GMT
Vincent didn't like these hot days. He was much better off with cold ones. There his body fat always helped him - he hardly noticed the cold. But the heat had him feeling distinctly uncomfortable. He couldn't really take many layers off, so he ended up becoming rather short-tempered. More short-tempered than normal. Normally, with people from Slytherin, he had a long fuse. But the Mudbloods were feeling his frustration more than usual. He rather enjoyed getting rid of their carefully made notes. With a bit of luck a few younger Mudbloods wouldn't pass their exams. Today was no exception to this dastardly heat. Vincent had taken refuge in the dungeons for a long time today, doing a rigorous training regime, strengthening his mind as he mastered new spells. He tended to go for the most unpleasant ones. They were most entertaining and stress-relieving to use when he was trying them out on real people.
Now, in the tolerable cool of the dungeons, Vincent snapped closed the book he had been using and shoved it under his bed. The school term was coming to an end, and soon Slytherin would be playing their final match of the year. It still irked Vincent that the Serpents would not be the overall champions this year. They deserved it far more than the cheating Gryffs, who were only where they were because Potter had accidentally caught the Snitch in both games he had played in so far. The Hufflepuff team were a bunch of wimps, so it was feasible that Gryffindor might have been able to achieve victory against them. But Slytherin? There it had been Potter who had saved the day for the stupid Mudbloods in their red robes. The Gryffindors had not deserved to win that match.
Nobody interrupted Vincent as he went through the Common Room. Some might have done normally, but the stormy look on his face was a warning sign. He tripped up a few Mudblood first years on his way outside. The dungeons were refuge, but he was not about to spend his whole life there. He hadn't talked to anyone worthy of conversation save for Gregory for at least a week now. Draco wasn't a conversation. Outside the stormy clouds gathering ahead seemed to reflect his mood, but it did nothing to improve it. There was an approaching storm. That meant it was going to be humid. Humidity was another thing Vincent found intolerable. He walked towards the lake, hoping that he might find some sort of peace and quiet there from the noisy, chattering Mudbloods stretched out on the grass in front of the gates. Incessant noise. Vincent trampled over somebody's revision papers, but did not bother to look down to see who it was and instead continued on like a steamroller. Finally he saw something that caused his mood to lift a little. The unmistakeable form of Millicent Bulstrode was lounging by the lakeside. A Queen of Slytherin, somebody worth talking to. Vincent didn't smile, but he moved slightly quicker towards her and sat down carefully a little way from her. "Millicent," he greeted. "It's been a while."

((Sorry been on vacation.))
Maddie was sitting in the common room, doing her homework. She had a lot of homework, and she wanted to get it done, so that she could spend her evening on more important things. She was stuck on the stupid Divination homework. It didn't suprise her though, she totally sucked at Divination, her parents made her take the class, so she really had no choice. "Screw it!" she said, as she threw her quill down and closed her book. Shoving it back into the bag, she picked it up, and headed into her dorm. She threw her bag onto her bed, and ran back, out of the dorm, and common room.
Once she was out, she felt a little better, and she grinned a little. She walked around the halls looking around, for a nice place to relax. While she was walking around, she noticed that it looked pretty nice outside. It looked like it was about to rain in a while, but it was still beautiful out. She could relax that way, so she headed outside. Once there, she found a couple of Slytherin, and she reconized all of them. The one she probably knew the best though, was Jack. So, she gave him a small smile, and greeted them, "Hello."

((Sorry its not much and so late but… Are we even still doing this thread? Oh well its just nice playing my Millie again even if only for a short post )) Millicent looked up as Vincent Crabbe greeted her. “Vince, yes it certainly has been quite some time. That girl we put in the hospital wing was released like a month ago and we still have not seen each other since. She is apparently fine by the way in case you were wondering. Hasn’t spoken much since and the professors are baffled as to what happened though. Neither of those little Gryffindors have told anybody what actually happened apparently. Not that I expected them too – even they aren’t that thick.” She said to him with a self satisfied smirk as the clouds continued to gather. “So what's new with you Vincent? Anything interesting happen to you these past months?”
