Lovely spring Saturday morning. More like mid-morning really. Ten o’clock was a decent hour to get up. It only left on begging question – to go for breakfast or wait until lunch. Branden decided to wait – he could go for a walk in the fresh clean air and build up a real appetite before lunch. And then maybe that afternoon he could go practice some Quidditch. He really hadn’t had the time to participate in the house team yet but maybe next year. It was all about prioritising really and he could definitely fit in Quidditch.
Branden fixed his blue shirt fitting it on perfectly; glad the long sleeves are all he would need to go outside. That was one of the best things about spring, he would be warm enough in long sleeves without a coat but he could also be active and not find himself sopping wet. Grinning at himself in the mirror Branden finished spiking his hair then went out into the common room. Not too many people were in there, likely because it was such a great day.
As a matter of fact, the hallways were nearly abandoned as he went down the seven flights of stairs into the entrance hall. There was a low rumble of people brunching but generally it was a quiet day. Branden quirked his head with a mischievous smirk before swinging a large oak door open and stepping into the outside air. The lake, the grounds, the edge of the forest, or the courtyard. So many great options for his walk but Branden wasn’t sure which to take. He came down the steps so as to prevent an accident before sticking out his right arm and index finger then spun in place until he was terribly dizzy. He stopped and opened his eyes finding his finger pointing in the direction of the courtyard.
Stumbling slightly due to dizziness Branden laughed and walked into the courtyard. The trees were getting leaves and the flowers were just beginning to bloom. There were students milling about all over the place and Branden grinned at one of the girls walking past with a few of her friends. Once they had passed Branden turned down a random path and started to wander at random.
