It was cloudy day with a nice breeze and Thomas didn't know what to do. With all the classes he had done and over with and still the rest of the day with nothing planed he went to his dormitory and opened his trunk, As soon as he opened it his frog jumped out and down the common room. Thomas just laughed watching it hop off. " I guess he's got more plans then me." He said laughing going to his trunk. Thomas pulled out his wand then an old spell book he got when he was in Diagon alley a long time ago. He never really had time to read any of the spells, with being gone and then with all the make-up work for class while he was gone.
Thomas went to the common room but it was filled with people talking and doing there class work. So Thomas went to the student lounge but that was just as full so he decided to go out side the courtyard couldn't be as full as the other places. He made it to the courtyard and he was right it wasn't as full. There was still a few people around but it was still kind of empty. Thomas toke a seat right by the entrance to the castle and opened the book starting to read where the bookmark was placed. He finally found something interesting in the book besides the spells he already knew. Thomas pulled out his wand a muttered a few words and the did the wand movements then the book flew out of his hands landing at a girls feet. He walked over quickly hoping it didn't hurt her.
"So sorry about that I didn't know what was going to happen." He said smiling. "Hi I'm Thomas and sorry again about that."

Latanya smiled as she read the book her father got for her as a present on her 10th birthday. Although it had been 3 years, being a fast reader as she was, she still hadn't finished it. Turning the last few pages of the book, she read each word clearly and carefully, not missing even one letter. Finally, she finished it and closed it with a smile on her face. It was about a teacher and a student, and their story of an unwanted love, kind of like the sad romance novels you see everyday. She wondered what it was like to love someone you shouldn't love, like her father for example. What would've happened if she fell in love with her father?
Stretching her arms, she stifled a yawn and watched happily at the other students do their own stuff. She stood up, and was about to walk away when she heard a 'thump' near her feet. She looked down to find a book. "What is this?" she asked herself as she picked up the book and looked at it. It was very old indeed. She was just about to open it when a boy walked over towards her. "Oh, it's okay. No harm done." she smiled and gave the book back to him. "I'm Latanya. What is that book about?" she asked curiously, peering at the cover.

He smiled kind of embarrassed about what happened. He grabbed the book when she handed it to him. "It’s just an old book I got in Diagon alley before the attacks happened." He said thinking back for a second. "It just has a lot of spells in it, most of them I already know." he said smiling normally again finally getting over being embarrassed. "You can look at it if you want it's the lest I could do.” He said laughing a little. "You would probably know some of the spells anyway too, but there are a few new ones that I've heard of so it’s good to read from time to time." Thomas looked at Latanya and couldn't remember seeing her around the school.
"So besides almost getting hit with random books, what brings you out here?" He asked looking at her trying to think if he had ever seen her somewhere but he just couldn't remember so he just gave up and guessed he had never seen her before.

Latanya looked excited at what Thomas said. "An old spell book? Sounds interesting enough." she said with a huge grin. "The best thing about spell books is that you can learn new spells. Whether you know them or not don't matter. You can see it as training or practicing." she shrugged.
She laughed at what Thomas just said. "Well, I'm out here reading." she showed him her book. "The common room was noisy and crowded, so I thought coming out here was the best choice I had. I could do with some fresh air too." she smiled sheepishly. "And I don't think you've seen me before." she said, as if reading his mind. "I seldom come out here to read anyway. Usually it's the common room or my bed." she said. "So have you learnt any new spells yet?" she said, changing the subject to his book again.

Thomas smiled thinking about what she just said. "I guess, maybe with more practice I would get what I wanted to move and not the book." He said then laughed. He listened to her as she explained way she was out here. Then she seemed to know what he was thinking because she answered the question he was thinking in his head. Then she asked if he had learned any new spells and Thomas thought for a second. "I've learned a few spells." He said smiling feeling proud of himself. "Most of them aren't very useful, there just fun and entertaining." He said looking around for something till he saw a flower all by its self in the ground.
"Here watch." He said walking over to the flower and pulled out his wand. "Vigoro." He said pointing his wand at the flower. Pretty soon the flower started to move as if it was alive. It even seemed to dance but it was move of it just wiggling around. After a half a minute of the flower moving it started to slow down then stopped in the position it was in before. "So I guess my future jobs could include being a magical clown." He said laughing he always thought it would be a fun job but he never toke it seriously he just liked to joke about.
