((Yes, well a bit of a different plot. Not just one of those posts where you have a friendly conversation and leave. But I think I explained just about all of it to you as we were chatting. In simpler words, however, I was at a loss for any good plots at the moment and this one just hit me out of the clear blue sky. Honestly... it hurt. I think I may just have to sue someone. >.<))
Hayden's long, blond hair was held up in a loose ponytail, swinging every which way in the wind. The girl's once, sparkling green eyes that held only happiness and love had now lost it's shine. She supposed that her outfit fit her mood, as she was wearing a plain pair of blue jeans, and a gray-ish sweater that her grandmother had given her for Christmas. She walked slowly and solemnly, her arms crossed over her chest. Her face showed no sign of emotion-only a blank and unreadable expression. Hayden honestly didn't know why she was making such of a big deal about it. She kept telling herself that it wasn't that important, and to get over it. Although she knew in her heart that it was a big deal. That it did bother her. That she couldn't escape reality.
Hayden sighed quite deeply. She didn't know what to do. Nothing like this had ever happened to her before. Both of her grandparents on her father's side were gone, but they passed away before Hayden was born. She had never experienced someone dying before... and never someone that she had been so close to before. Hayden never got to spend much time with her grandfather, but she still enjoyed his visits thoroughly. He always told Hayden stories of when he was a boy, and how life was back then. He would sit the girl on his lap and read stories to her. He recited nursery rhymes with her and sang songs such as "John Jacob Jingle-Hymersmit".
Yes, Hayden still had her grandmother, which she loved deeply as well... but it just wasn't the same. It wasn't the same when Hayden visited her grandparents'-correction: grandmother's house. There was an empty feeling to the house-as if it were missing something... which it was. Now that he was gone, she was learning all of these other things that she had never known about him before. Hayden wished more than ever that she could just go back in time and spend all of the time in the world with him. To get to know him better, and to ask about all of the things that she was now just learning. To find out for herself. To get the most out of his life that she could, so that maybe, just maybe, when she came back to the present day, she wouldn't feel all that bad about the loss of him, because she had gotten her chance to spend more time with him and to do all the things that she wished she could do now.
Sadly, that wish would never come true. It was impossible. Well... it wasn't so impossible now that Hayden was living in the wizarding realm, but you still couldn't mess with fate and the ways things happen. Even though he's gone, the sun is still going to come up every morning, and go down every night. People will go about with their usual lives, even though he was gone. Lately, Hayden had been furious with others, just because they were happy. They weren't supposed to be happy! They weren't suppose to be cheerful! They were supposed to feel sad and depressed, just like Hayden... weren't they? Hayden sighed again, sitting down on an empty bench as a small tear trickled down her pale face. Not bothering to rub it off, she rested her head in her hands, looking out at the others, playing with one another and having loads of fun. Hayden really wished that she could be happy again. That her liveliness would be placed back inside of her... but she just... couldn't. And she didn't know what to do about it.
