Sophia walked into the beautiful, presently snow-covered, courtyard, hoping to catch up with some reading, as she had recently been busy with various class assignments. It was now approaching the end of the holidays, so all her work was done.
Looking round the courtyard to see if there were any free benches, she saw that on one of them there was a girl that she vaguely seemed to recognise from a distance. Walking closer, to see if she really diid know that girl, it turned out to be Harriet, her cousin-a first-year Gryffindor. She rarely saw her cousin round Hogwarts, as they were in different houses and years. So she took this oppurtunity to go to sit with Harriet, who was also reading at that time, and out of school, Harriet lived in a completely different area of England to Sophia.
"Hey Harriet! How are you today"? Sophia sat next to Harriet, and waited for a reply.

"Huh? Oh, hi Sophia-I'm great thanks." Harriet was in the courtyard, reading her own copy of Hogwarts, a History. Not wanting to bore her cousin out of her mind with history she decided to arrange a time for them to go to Hogsmeade together. Sophia accepted. Harriet went inside the Great Hall and noticed owls flying around dropping mail off for students-she thought she saw her family's owl, Ruby. Her mother had sent her some chocolate fudge brownies and her sister had sent her a letter. Harriet also found a couple of magazines: Teen People and Mizz enclosed. She decided to gp up to the Common Room to read them-considering it was Sunday, and there's no classes on Sunday.
