Aubree pushed through the crowd of first years. They were totally in her way and Aubree wasn't going to let them get away with it. She had a letter to write and the common room just wouldn't do. To many people would be around her and she couldn't stand for them to see the contents of the letter. She was writing to some old neighbors. Aubree needed information and was determined to find out what she needed. She had questions about something that happened years ago. Aubree always got what she wanted even if she had to work for it. At that moment, she wanted the truth. Who really killed Nancy? Why? Aubree knew that Nancy was just some undeserving mudblood, but when she was younger, Nancy was her friend. And Aubree needed to know why her old friend had to die and if her father was really behind it.
Aubree hadn't originally thought he was, but years had gone by and anything was possible. She remembered the day clearly and he didn't seemed surprised when Aubree told him she had found Nancy's body. In fact, he seemed like he knew. Aubree wasn't certain that he would do it, but she knew he could of got someone else to. With all that stored in her head for the moment, she made her way to the courtyard. She carried her green, silk bag with her. It contained some ink, quills, and parchment. Aubree looked around upon arrival. She noticed a small spot in the shady corner near the building. She smiled as went over to it. It looked isolated and sometimes Aubree liked to feel that way. She then sat down and pulled out a piece of parchment and things and started writing. She put down her concerns on the paper knowing that soon people would read it and help her out.

Classes. Homework. Family. It's all overrated. Why would anyone want to waist their time trying to get straight A's and being the bestest most best best child any parent could even dream of having!? This was Alexandra's thoughts as she walked down the grand staircase that led to the front doors. Her right hand clenched tighter over the already crumpled letter from her mother. She held the angry tears back as she walked down the stairs, one step at a time. She. Never. Cried. And that was that. Her foot slammed onto the marble floors of Hogwarts' Great Hall as she reached the bottom of the stairs. Approaching the double doors that led outside, she gritted her teeth. No tear will fall from her chocolate brown eyes.
Her hands grasped the handle and she swung open the doors. Cool October air whooshed inside and blew her robes about her, her chin length black hair whipping at her face. She walked outside, ignoring the fall winds that slashed at her body. Words from the letter ran over in her mind. She couldn't take it. She ran toward the Courtyard, wanting only to be alone. She came to the shield of the fountains and towering flower bushes of the courtyard, somehow blocking the winds.
Alexandra... we regret to tell you...
She fell forward onto the cold grass and let the tears fall.
We know you, you can't win...
A waterfall of tears fell from each eye as she lay there, holding the letter with both hands. Each finger on her small hands wrung at the parchment, only wanting to destroy the evidence. Her body shook, her shoulders ached, and her stomach turned over about a million times. She felt sick, she felt sad, and she felt as if she wanted to die.
You may never see your sister, your mother, even your cousin ever again
That's the part that caused the anger. How could they keep her from Angelique?! HOW?! They had no right! Unless... Angelique never wanted to see the young Ricci child, who she had taken in and cared for, ever again? Alexandra sniffed, her body recovering from the hard crying fit. She sat up, wiping the tears from her eyes, knowing her eyes looked strange at all the eyeliner and mascara that must be running down her cheeks in teary, watery streams. She looked about her and jumped. A girl sat about ten feet away. Alexandra gasped. The girl must have been there the whole time. She froze, unable to speak, unable to move a mussel as she stared at the girl. She couldn't even think, couldn't take in the girl's appearance.

Aubree continued to write her concerns down. If she wanted something, Aubree always got it. She pushed her long, blond hair out of the way as she wrote. Her hair was such a nuisance. It was odd that something so beautiful could always be in her way. Ther Montogue ladies were know for their hair. Aubree had the same hair as her cousins, aunts, and her mother. Only Darmelle, Aubree’s sister, had brilliant red hair. She was the off ball of the family, but Aubree knew they cared for her more. They treated her with more respect. Darmelle wasn’t even a first year yet and she received all the glory. Aubree pushed that aside for the moment and placed all her thoughts, feelings, and ideas over the years on the parchment. She didn’t care of what people thought of her after reading the letter. Aubree just felt like for once in her life, she was doing something were parents wouldn’t approve of. That scared her. She couldn’t help release a small smile. Finally, Aubree had made herself push the limits, live in a world without her parents constantly pressuring her. Aubree knew that she was only a few years away from the most pressure she would ever receive. Her parents would insist that she would become a Death Eater her seventh year. It excited her because she wanted to serve her lord, but she wanted to make the decision without her parents.
Aubree’s quill jabbed hard on the paper. She was so focused, she didn’t notice anything for a while. Until, she suddenly jerked her head and saw a girl crying. Aubree was alarmed at first because she herself would never cry in public. But, she then realized it must have been pretty bad. Aubree could tell the girl was a fellow Slytherin. As she examined her more, she recognized the girl. Her name was Alexandra and Aubree and her were dorm mates. Aubree didn’t know the girl too well, but she was interested to know what was wrong with her. “Are you okay?” She asked thoughtfully. “You’re Alexandra, right?” Aubree asked.

The shock from realizing there was someone watching her was still holding Alexandra's tongue. A noticable flinch came from her being when the girl asked if she were ok. Of course I'm not okay, you fool... her thoughts were biter, but so was her heart. She wiped the tears from her face and straightened her posture, acting as if she had not been crying. She took a moment, taking the girl's appearance in. She knew her. That made it worse. It was Aubree, same year, even same dormatory as Alexandra. What would Alexandra do if Aubree shouted to the whole dorm, the whole year, that she had been crying... that would not be good. She took a deep breath, steadying her racing heart and looked at Aubree.
"I'm fine," was all she said. Aubree knew she was Alexandra, so what was the point in saying she was. Alexandra was never, NEVER, a woman of many words. She rarely spoke. And if Aubree didn't know that... well, she would soon find out.

Aubree looked at the girl for a moment. Alexandra had never said much to her or anyone for that matter. When Aubree really thought about, she had never heard Alexandra complete a sentence! She hadn’t noticed really. She was too caught up in her own things to notice someone else. When Aubree noticed things she usually noticed too late. Like when Mary was sad and upset, Aubree took a while to notice and then began to comfort her. She had never been good at the comfort thing to start with. Aubree had always been told to "shut up" or "get over it". No one had ever told her "things would work out fine". Aubree stared at her again. She was clearly upset about something, but Aubree couldn't help but sneer. The girl was crying, something Aubree would never do in public. It was a sign of weakness and she was not weak. So, Aubree would never do such a thing. As Alexandra just sat there like a crying fool, Aubree didn't feel too sorry for her. She looked completely ridiculous. Aubree would be more understanding if she knew Alexandra had a valid reason, but she doubted Alexandra would tell her. They barely knew each other and Aubree didn't have time to worry about other peoples problems. She had her own schedule to follow if she wished to become a Death Eater by the time she left Hogwarts. Finally, Alexandra spoke, but all she said was fine. Aubree just shook her head at her. "Please, if you were fine you wouldn't be a crying fool. You’re in a worse state then I was when my best friend died." Aubree said sternly. She wasn't the least bit sympathetic and only asked Alexandra if she was okay to break the silence. Aubree was astounded that she had just mentioned Nancy, but she let that thought slide. She just looked at her waiting for an answer.

Alexandra's blank look turned into a glare when Aubree insulted her. She wasn't even crying anymore. She may have been crying, but it wasn't as if she had noticed the girl was there or anything. At first glance, this seemed rather privet. Alexandra sighed, looking away from Aubree and ignoring her presence. If she wanted to be a snob and insult her one of her own house, fine. Alexandra didn't have to deal with it. She was, however, strong enough not to just leave. Instead, she shifted her body, scooting up against the wall. She looked down at her hands, which still held the letter. She took another deep breath, stuffing the letter into her cloak pocket.
She glanced at Aubree, her anger wanting her to say something. She tried to quiet the want, but couldn't. She bit her tongue, trying even harder, but it was useless.
"If you were paying even and inch of attention, you would have noticed I stopped crying, so don't even sit there and try to be smug about something you probobly don't understand. Besides, I didn't know you were there," she quieted down again, having said what she wanted to say.

“Whatever.” Aubree said rolling her eyes. She realized how mean she was acting towards a Slytherin, but she had things on her mind. She had questions that needed to be answered. Aubree didn’t care if she sounded like a fool. She knew no one could control what the felt when they are hurting. She then realized that Alexandra was going through something difficult and maybe she was being a bit insensitive. “Look, I just have to stuff on my mind. I’m not particularly good at controlling my words.” She said softly looking towards the ground. Aubree hoped the Alexandra would understand, but it was unlikely. She was a Slytherin and they didn’t have a good track record for caring. Aubree realized that she had really shown that when she her comment to Alexandra. She then placed her quill and parchment on the ground and focused her attention on the girl.
Aubree noticed the little Alexandra was holding. She looked at her thoughtfully. “It must be pretty bad to make you cry like that.” Aubree said motioning towards the letter. Aubree personally detested letters. They always held bad news for her except when she wrote them. When she wrote letters, they always seemed to change things. They seemed to make a situation better. Aubree loved to write. She loved to put her feelings out in the open for everyone to see. Because she didn’t have that chance at home. Aubree was expected to behave and look like a proper girl for guests. So, that’s what she did. She then snapped out of her gaze and looked at Alexandra. “You’re wrong, I probably would understand.” She said quietly. “More that you know.” Aubree said so quiet it almost wasn’t heard.

Alexandra looked down at her feet, listening intently to every word Aubree uttered. It was strange... Slytherins were supposed to be superior and uncaring to everyone, but when it comes down to someone in need... they do look out for each other. It's when an outcast like Alexandra is faced with this that she doesn't understand. She wants to be the stereotypical version of a Slytherin and glare and push Aubree away, but Aubree is a fellow Slytherin and fellow Slytherins don't do that to eachother... well sometimes, but not in cases like this.
Alexandra sniffled, looking down at the grass when Aubree said she would understand more than Alexandra would know. Alexandra remained to sit there, Aubree's words soaking in. She would understand? She apologized? This was all so confusing! Alexandra didn't have a best friend... that was for certain, but as she sit there, she had a sudden urge to tell Aubree everything. Everything she had held so deep inside her that it hurt just to think about. Alexandra never opened up to anyone, except her cousin who had raised her, but now that she wasn't allowed to see Angelique she didn't have anyone to talk to... Maybe Aubree was correct, maybe she would understand and maybe she would take pity on Alexandra and help...
What was she thinking!? Why would she want ANYONE to take pity on her!? Alexandra looked at Aubree and then back down at the grass, "listen Aubree... I... appreciate that you want to understand and want to help, but..." she paused, wondering what else to say, "I can take care of myself and I don't need anyone," She felt horrible for saying those words... she wanted someone to talk to and now she was pushing the one person who may help away... but it was Alexandra's way. She always did that when someone wanted to help.

Aubree looked at Alexandra as she spoke. She understood every word. They were Slytherins. Slytherins were not supposed to need anyone, but that was a lie. Everybody needed a friend and Aubree knew that Alexandra had few at Hogwarts. It was a common misconception of Slytherins that they are mean to everyone, even their house mates. Slytherins were sometimes as loyal as filthy Hufflepuffs. Just know one ever knew. Aubree knew that Alexandra really did need help and she was just saying that. Most Slytherins were like that. They made themselves look mean and unlovable, but really just need help at heart.Aubree pulled her hair out of face and continued to write her letter.
She didn't say a word to Alexandra of a moment. Suddenly, she turned towards the girl. "I know you can take care of yourself." She said calmly. "But, sometimes that's not what your heart needs." She said. All Slytherins had hearts. They were just more complex than the other houses. Aubree stared into the sun rather than Alexandra. "I'm sure whatever it is, you will work it out." She said. It was weird, Aubree was being caring! She had never been comforted herself so she always assumed that could do that, but at that moment she knew she could. Some of her words might have come out harsh, but Aubree was knew at it. She wasn't just a mean Slythie, she was a human with feelings just like Alexandra.

Staring at her feet, Alexandra clung to every one of Aubree's words. She seemed to care, yet it was strange. Aubree wasn't usually one who cared much, but somehow Alexandra knew she was sincere. Tears came to her eyes once again. The only problem was, she couldn't take care of herself... she needed Angelique, but now her parents are forbidding her from ever seeing her cousin again, the woman who raised her. Alexandra tried to hold her tears, tried as hard as she could to keep them from falling from her dark eyes, but they were too strong, her feelings were too great and suddenly water falls fell from her eyes. She huddled up, grasping her legs hard as she cried into her knees.
It took a few moments, Alexandra wondering through her tears if Aubree was watching her, but finally she calmed down. Her tears ceased and she looked over at Aubree.
"I don't know what to do!" she said sadly, more tears falling.

For a minute, things were silent. Then suddenly, Alexandra started to cry. Aubree stared at her in disbelief. She didn't know if she could take tears. Aubree hadn't seen that coming. She didn't think Alexandra would cry. She looked at the girl. Aubree felt sort of sorry for her. She could tell something horrible happened to the girl, but she didn't know what. Aubree didn't know if she could take the explanation. She thought for a second and suddenly realized something. That wasn't her! Aubree didn't used to be that way. She used to be a caring blond child who loved everyone. She knew that she couldn't and wouldn't be kind towards mudbloods, but she could towards Slytherins. They were humans. They felt loss, love, pain, and much more. Aubree had forgotten the pact she made years ago. The one where she would be mean and cruel to everyone just to fool her parents. Maybe the general pact was gone, but Aubree could at least behave nicely towards worthy people. After all, she was a proper girl not an unworthy one. Aubree had finally taken back a piece of childhood. It probably wouldn't last long and be very strong, but she knew she needed it at that moment.
She looked at Alexandra for a second. Her tears were stronger than before and it seemed she couldn't stop. Aubree had felt the feeling before. When Nancy died, she cried for hours. Aubree couldn't stop the tears and could only let out the pain. But, that was years ago. She was now trying to find out what really happened, but that would probably take month. She then snapped back to reality and looked at Alexandra once more. She then screamed about not knowing what to do. Aubree looked at her and she knew she could handle it. "What happened?" She asked hoping to help. Aubree couldn't do a thing if she didn't know what the problem was. She then looked at the ground as she waited for Alexandra's response.

Alexandra remained silent a few moments, prodding her answer. Aubree seemed to be just like her (maybe except the obsession with vampires...). The same coldness to everyone, the distance, and yet when the situation arose, she would change and become the person she once was. Alexandra remember those days when she still lived at home. When her mother loved her and her father was proud. But something about her twin sister, Veronique, had made them change. Made them hate Alexandra and despise everything she tried to do to make them love her once again. It wasn't until Alexandra got fed up and ran away. She had lived on the streets for months, no one seemed to care that she was gone. That is until Angelique had found her. Alexandra's own cousin. Angelique took her in, took care of her even though the Ricci family excluded them from the family. Alexandra had trusted her, treated her like no other. She had gone back to the nice girl she once was, but only to Angelique.
Alexandra sighed, finally finding the words to tell Aubree. She sniffled a bit and then looked at the blond Slytherin, who sat there with her face down. Alexandra stared for a moment, finding the courage to speak.
"Well..." she begun, thinking harder on more words to say, "I have this... erm... problem," then she laughed. The whole sentence sounded stupid, childish. Of course she had a problem! Why else would she be sitting there next to an almost complete stranger crying her eyes out!? She stopped laughing abruptly, she hadn't laughed in ages. She cleared her throat, glad her tears had ceased, "Um... sorry, I just can't really explain. My parents... they... hate me," she grunted, Aubree most likely wouldn't believe her, everyone thinks someone in their family hates them... usually its not true, but this time it is, "I know you'll probably say that I only think they hate me, but it's true,"
She paused again, getting ready to tell her story, "My whole life, they've treated me differently than my twin sister, Veronique. No she's not here, mother sent her to Beaubatons... Anyway. They loved her, hated me. When I was 12 I ran away and was living on the streets for quite a while... at least it seemed that way. But my cousin, Angelique found me and took me in. She was the only one I trusted. I loved her and still do, but..." she sighed, looking down at her fingers, "It turns out my parents have offered my cousin lots of money to move back in. No rent, free food and water, and she can live there as long as she wants, but there is one condition... She must never see me again... And she agreed. So now I have no home, no family, and it feels like I have no one in the world..." she sniffed again, trying to hold back more tears.
"I know you'll think that it's a stupid reason for being so upset... but you don't understand... Angelique raised me... she's the only friend I've ever had and for her to move back in with my parents and agree to never see me again, feels like she's abandoned me... and she has..." Alexandra nodded as a few silent tears fell.
She astonished herself, never in her life had she ever said that may words to one person. She never EVER said more than a few sentences to anyone... but there was something about Aubree that made Alexandra want to spill everything... which she basically just did. Now there was only a few things she didn't know about Alexandra and she wasn't about to tell her anymore... for a while at least...

Aubree stared at Alexandra as she spoke. She laughed inside when She said she had a problem. That was apparent. Something had to be wrong with her to make her act that way. Aubree still couldn’t help but be sorry for her. She seemed worthy enough. Alexandra reminded Aubree a lot of herself. Strong, but loving at times. Aubree looked at her as she spoke. She gasped when Alex said her parents hated her. She also said she wasn’t over reacting, but that it was true. Aubree could take one look at her and know she wasn’t lying. Alex looked to sincere to be lying. Aubree couldn’t help but wonder why a parent would hate their child. She didn’t hesitate to speak. “What, that’s insane.” She said calmly. Aubree knew her parents preferred Darmelle, but they didn’t at all hate her. Sometimes they ignored her and other they called her their princess and gave her anything she wished. Aubree could never tell which one they really felt, but she knew she would never fully know. Aubree looked at Alex’s face. She was defiantly scared and confused. After all, her parents hated her. Aubree was still in shock of that statement. What kind of pure-blood parents would hate a child as long as they didn’t associate with mudbloods or joined The Order of the Phoenix or something like that. She just didn’t understand and probably never would.
Aubree then listened to the rest of Alex’s story. It was heart breaking. She could imagine herself living on the streets or never being able to see her family again. After all, Alex seemed almost like an orphan. She had no family or home to live in. Aubree didn’t know what to say or do to help her. She kept her head towards the ground thinking. She felt very sorry for her. Yes, Aubree the very pretty yet cold hearted Slytherin felt sorry for someone. It almost seemed impossible, but it was true. Aubree suddenly had a thought. She jerked her head towards Alex. She had an idea. It might seem crazy, but it was all she could think of. Aubree didn’t say a thing for a second and then opened her mouth. “Umm, this sounds weird since we don’t really know each other, but you could live at my house.” She paused for a second. Aubree couldn’t believe the words were leaving her mouth. “It’s a large place and I’m sure my parents wouldn’t mind a well educated, pleasant, pure-blood Slytherin living with us.” She paused again trying to find the words. “It’s one of the mansions right outside of Hogsmead.” She commented. “That’s the only idea I can think of. Aubree gave a sympathetic smile. She would mind Alex coming to live with her. She was always lonely and wouldn’t mind the company. She looked at the girl waiting for an answer.

It took a moment for Aubree's words to soak into Alexandra's conscious. What exactly was she offering? Live... with her? Immediately, Alexandra's world turned upside down. She couldn't believe her ears! Was this pity? Or was this charity? Either one was too horrible for the young girl to bear... But what if Aubree's intentions weren't pitiful or untrustworthy? Maybe she actually meant to help Alexandra. It surprised her. Why would she want to help, if, indeed, that was what she was doing. Alexandra breather heavily, thinking hard. Her thoughts zoomed through her head so fast it was as if she wasn't even thinking them. She wasn't used to this! She was so used to horrible words, insults, put downs, and being treated like a house elf. It shocked her, so much that she couldn't speak for many minutes.
Her facial expression was grateful, almost desperate. She was thankful her face didn't alarm Aubree. That was the last thing Alexandra wanted. She gulped, twice and looked at the blonde girl next to her. This all happened so fast. the first person who she had ever opened up to was offering her a home. She hadn't been homeless for more than a day and already she was accepted. It felt... wonderful. Her heart soared with joy. Her tears were of happiness as they slowly slid down her cheek. She smiled, radiantly, at Aubree. Her chin quivered threating to lose control.
"Aubree..." she mumbled, gratefully. Taking a deep breath, she tried to quiet her joyful tears. She took a few more deep breaths, making sure she didn't get light headed and gulped again. "Are... Are you sure? I mean we don't know eachother... very, erm, well." She looked up at the girl who had saved her. Her answer was ringing in her ears, but she wanted to make sure this wasn't too good to be true. If Aubree was sure, than so was Alexandra. She would have a home. Maybe, over time... a family. A true family! People cared for her in a way she never would have thought possible. Maybe it was a silly girl's dream, but that was all she had to cling onto now. The hope that someday she would be happy. At the moment, this is what she wanted the most. A place to live, a home, a family.
Who said Slytherins couldn't be caring!? Maybe not to mudbloods (who deserved no attention at all) or worse... Muggles... But it didn't matter. Slytherins were people and they cared for one another, maybe not on the outside, but secretly all Slytherins held a high regard for each other. They respected one another, and now as Alexandra sat there, she realized that. Though she was quiet, acting as though no one deserved to spoken to and... rather mean to everyone, when it came down to it, all she needed was a friend. And now she had one. Aubree. She was offering something that meant the world to Alexandra and she would not let that offer go.

Aubree looked at the girl's face for a moment. She was defiantly thinking about it. As Aubree knew she should. It was a big decision. The two girls barely knew each other and now they were going to live with each other? The thought race in Aubree's mind as I'm sure it did in Alex's. Aubree was offering the world to Alex. She was offering a fancy new life, a family, and a new respect to her. She was giving Alex something she didn't have free of charge. Aubree had never done something so generous. She had never learned to be that way. She was raise to know her boundaries and her customs. Aubree never would have thought she would one day help someone in the way she was helping Alex. It seemed a bit new for Aubree. She would have to get used to be so helpful. It probably wouldn't show out too often, but just at the right time. Aubree's mind was in a sort of trance thinking and wondering what was wrong with her. Until she realized she was always meant to be that way and she couldn't change it.
Aubree looked at Alex. Her face was looking very strange. She was obviously in deep thought. After all, a Slytherin had been extremely nice to her. It was something she had never known at her own house. Aubree hadn't known much kindness. It wasn't that her parents were horrid to her, it was just that they expected a lot of her. They wanted her to be the best pure-blood ever and for her to be known. That's all they seemed to want from her. Nothing more. Aubree jerked her head again towards Alex. She had said something like are you sure. Aubree just stared at her. "Yes, I'm sure." She paused. "It doesn't matter. We can get to know each other." Aubree said softly. She looked at the ground and thought of what her parents would say. She didn't particularly care at the moment. Well, maybe she did a little.
Aubree couldn't help but have a slight smiled on her face. She was actually doing something helpful for once. Also, she was so bored in that house. Aubree knew after a while, Alex couldn't become more like her sister Darmelle. Aubree jerked her head a bit. Darmelle. She would hate that Aubree brought home another daughter. Aubree couldn't help but laugh at that. She then looked at Alex again. With once glance at her, Aubree knew she had practically said yes. "So, what's the answer?" She asked boldly. "Hurry up, I have a letter to write." She said not thinking about the letter she was writing, but of one to her parents asking permission. Aubree could tell the girl wouldn't let her only offer pass her by. No, she wasn't dumb. Aubree sat there silently waiting for a final response.

Alexandra's heart quickened its beating when Aubree assured her that she meant what she said. She couldn't believe it! She may actually have a home! Alexandra remained silent a few more moments, she urged her mouth to speak, say something! Anything! But no words came out. She was in shock... Pure shock and it would take a few moments of silence to come out of it. Her heart started to calm within a few minutes and Alexandra was about to tell her yes when Aubree asked her what her answer was. All Alexandra could do to that bold question was raise an eyebrow. She was answering! Hold on a second! She took a deep breath, trying to steady her mind and almost answered again, but Aubree said something like hurry up and something else about a letter.
Alexandra laughed a bit, "I would hurry up if you stopped interrupting me," she said with an amused smile. She shook her head in a joking manner and looked at Aubree in the eye, "Yes," she said shortly, but in a strangely friendly way. With that one simple word she found herself getting excited. She had a home! But only if Aubree's parents agreed. Worry flooded her. What if her parents said no? What would she do then? Mentally shaking her head, Alexandra held her breath, waiting for Aubree's next comment.

Aubree listened to Alexandra's comment. "Sorry, but everything is late in my parents' opinions." She said harshly telling the absolute truth. The Montogues were like that. Many things came too late for them so Aubree had to get an answer at that moment or they might use that as their excuse. Aubree looked up when Alex said yes. She was excited. Aubree was no longer alone at the house and she sort of had a friend. Of course they didn't really know each other, but the two would have to become friends if they were living together. Well, Darmelle and Aubree were not exactly the best of friends, but they were sisters. Sisters were often supposed to hate each other. Aubree gave out a light smile. Se then had a sudden thought that made her instantly jerk and pull her parchment close to her. "Ok, then. I need to write this to them." She said putting the words on the paper.
Aubree continued to write the words. She decided to tell Alexandra things about her family while she wrote. "Ok, here are some house rules. Well, they aren't enforced just known." Aubree paused as she looked up from her writing. "Ok, the whole not very talkative thing is fine. They don't want you to talk excessively, but answer when they talk to you." She paused. "Oh, clothing. They will want you to look nice and appropriate at all times. That's just who they are. Basically they let me go where ever I want during holidays. They are more concerned with my sister. Oh, yea I have a sister, Darmelle. She will be attending Hogwarts next year." Aubree took a breath. "You will most likely be able to do what you please just like me. You can even invite Slytherins over. They don't really care. Sometimes they have formal dinners so you might need a dress for that. They don't really have rules, but sometime they will treat you like a princess and others they will not know you are alive. That's just them." She paused again. There was a lot to say about her parents. She didn't want Alex to come live at her house and look like an idiot. "Ok, the mansion is located just out of Hogsmead. So, really there is no reason to take a train to Kings Cross Station, but it is required so what ever. It has four stories. My floor is the fourth floor. Meaning it has all the rooms a house has on one floor. Of course the first floor is like that, but I mainly stick to my floor. The second floor is my parents, the third floor is Darmelle's. My floor is huge so you can have the guest room and Carmie, my house elf will customize it for you." Aubree breathed a sigh of relief. She was glad that was over. "It's a lot of information, but believe me, you need every bit." Aubree looked at Alex waiting for a response.

Alexandra remained silent and listened intently as Aubree explained life at the Montogue household. Every rule that Aubree explained made Alexandra more and more interested. It wasn't that she was curious because she would be living there soon, no. It was because she wanted to know exactly how to be the perfect child. She wanted to be loved and if following these rules would help her achieve her goal, then she would do it. She wanted a new life. And this was her only chance. Alexandra almost laughed when Aubree said she would probably be aloud to invite friends over. Alexandra had no friends, the closest she has is Aubree and there wouldn't be any need to invite her over.
A mansion... oh yay! She thought sarcastically. After the experience of living with her own parents in their mansion, she wasn't too eager to experience another one again, but as Aubree explained how the household worked, with all the floors and such, Alexandra grew excited to live in such a free environment. Angelique always let her do what she wanted, but there never was anything to do! She never had any invitations to go anywhere, because there was never anyone to invite her to anything. To have her own room, which was customized to her liking was also exciting. Instantly she started to imagine what she wanted for her room... Lots of reds and blacks were involved in her vision of the perfect bedroom.
She was jolted from her thoughts when Aubree said something about a lot of needed information. She knew what Aubree meant. She did need to know this stuff and even if Aubree didn't tell her, she probably would have asked. There was only one question she needed to ask, "Do I have a chance?" She needed to know, even if she sounded stupid and childish. Even if she didn't have a chance to fit in with this family. Alexandra hoped that Aubree knew what she had meant by the question, she didn't feel like explaining, but of course she would if need be. She quieted her thoughtful mind and waited impatiently for Aubree's answer.

Aubree looked at Alex as she seemed to understand everything. The Montogues were more than just a regular rich Slytherin family. They had a reputation to follow. They were highly known and many people wanted to be them. How many fourteen years olds had a whole floor with a kitchen, porch, art room, dinning room, several bathrooms and bedrooms and more? Not many. Several people wanted to live like the Montogues when the cold hard truth was they couldn't. Few people had enough money to live like that. Aubree was accustomed to that style of living. She had after all lived that way her whole like. She grew to understand the family ways. She knew everything she needed to know. Alex, however, was new and would have to learn everything Aubree had known from the day she was born.
Aubree looked at Alex as she asked her question. How was she supposed to answer. There were so many ways she could word it and most of them would not make sense at all. She thought of an answer. "Your new. You will be fine. It's when they are bored of you that you need to worry." She said softly. Aubree sat thinking for a second. She wasn't sure if Alex understood. Aubree didn't understand it herself. Aubree's parents were different and hard to explain. Most of the time, she avoided the subject of them. Mainly because she didn't want to tell several stories. Aubree then stood up and dusted the dirt off of her. "Umm, I need to send this." She said holding up the letter. "I will see you later." She said. Aubree turned and looked back at Alex. Alex had now entered a new world. One she might think is great actually turns out horrible. Aubree then turned back and walked to the owlery to give her owl, Nobles the letter.
