It was early in the morning and Sadie just couldn't sleep any longer. She knew that there were some beautiful flowers in the Courtyard that bloomed early in the morning, and she really had been wanting to see them bloom.
Sadie looked at the clock beside her bed, and knew that she would have plenty of time to come back to the dorm and change into her school robes. She pulled on her favorite pair of black jeans and one of her yellow tank top shirts that had moons and stars printed on the front of it. She looked in her trunk and grabbed her newest pair of black boots. They laced up the side and had a chuncky three inch heel on them. Sadie hadn't had them long and had yet to get them broken in.
Sadie quietly made her way out of the dorm and down to the common room. From there she wasn't worried about being too quiet. She made her way from the common room to the courtyard as quickly as she could, but trying her best not to run. She didn't want to get in to any trouble for running in the halls. That would mean that Hufflepuff would lose house points and she didn't want to be the cause of that.
As Sadie walked out to the courtyard, she noticed that there was another girl sitting on a bench next to the flowers that she was wanting to see bloom. " Hi, did you come to see the flowers bloom as well?" She asked the girl. Sadie wanted to sit down but didn't want the girl to think she was rude, so she stood waiting for the answer.

The girl on the bench was not paying attention to anyone around her. A medium sized blue rat was perched on the girl's shoulder nibbling on a chip of dried banana. The girl's chocolate eyes were focused on the open book of parchement before her. Ink was on the page, at closer look one would understand the picture. A bold and beatiful stallion was on the page, quill posed to finish the stallion head.
At the voice of another the quill stopped its downward motion. The chocolate eyes turned to the new girl. Lexi sighed and turned back to her picture. "The flowers are not the reason I came out here." She finished lowering her quill and started work on her stallion once more. The rat finished her banana chip and started to crawl down Lexi's arm for another. Lexi quickly obliged and the rat sat content on her shoulder once more. "But I guess they are nice."

" I've always wanted to see them bloom, but never could get up early enough." Sadie spoke as if she were afraid to ruin the quiet morning. She didn't want to bother the girl much either.
I wonder if i should introduce my self. Sadie thought. She had thought of trying to make more friends this year, but she also thought about the other things that had been happening. She wasn't sure about being too kind to others this year. She knew that no matter how she acted toward others, she would always be kind to her friends. But not everyone was like that after all the attacks. A lot of the others had changed.
After a few moments of thinking, Sadie decided that she would introduce herself. She knew that it would be the polite thing to do. " Hi, I'm Sadie, a second year Hufflepuff." She said smiling.

Lexi finished the eye on her stallion and admired it while the other girl spoke. "I never have a problem getting up early." Everyone in her commons was up with the sun it felt most the time. Like they were afraid of something. After the attacks, a normal person would be. Lexi closed her parchement book with out looking at the girl. She slowly lifted her eyes to met the girl.
"Alexianna Perabo." She frowned. "You probably heard of me. My sister talks about how I'm the family traitor." She closed her mouth. Conversing with a hufflepuff. Her eyes darted and looked for her sister. Luckly she didn't see Violet. She turned back to the girl and pulled Trista from her shoulder to her hands. "3rd year Slytherin."

Sadie raised her left eyebrow as she tried to think if she had heard the girl's name mentioned before. After a few seconds she gave up. " What year is your sister? I don't think I have heard of you before." Sadie said hoping that this didn't make the girl feel bad.
Sadie sat in the soft, lucious, green grass, and looked up into the sky. The colors of the morning were just settling in, which meant that the flowers would soon be blooming. Sadie turned back to the girl, glancing at the flower bush every now and again. " So, what brought you out so early?" Sadie smiled again. She loved when she was able to smile and this day had not yet been ruined so there was hope that she could smile all day long.
Sadie looked at the bright sky, and started to wish that she had brought her broom with her. It needed to be cleaned. Sadie had been too busy lately to clean it. She sat playing with a blade of grass, now looking at the girl. " Sorry if I talk too much. I'm usually shy and quiet." She said somewhat frowning at the fact that she had never been this loud and talkative before.

"5th year Gryffindor." Lexi tarted off quickly. She couldn't wait for the time to come when Lexi would be the only Perabo in the school. Lexi watched the girl sit on the ground. "Why are you still talking to me?"
This was not making sense to Lexi. Most would leave her to her own. She was Slytherin after all. She sighed and shook her head. "Its the other's in my dorm."
Her eyes fell on the flower bush now. "No big." Lexi stated in response to the mention of talking to much. Lexi didn't turn to look back at the girl, her eyes darted from the forest to the bush and back.

" Well, when I started out here from the common room, I didn't expect there to be anyone out here yet. I thought I would be out here by myself. But then, I come out to see a girl sitting all by herself, and looking like she could use a friend. I thought I would try to be your friend. But if you don't want too..." Sadie said trailing off in the end. She turned around toward the flower bush and stared at it, waiting on it's lovely pinkish purple flowers to bloom. It seemed that it should be almost time for them to open.
Sadie continued to play with the grass, as she sat there quietly. She didn't know if Alexianna had meant the remark about her still talking as a bad thing. But she wasn't going to take any chances. She had made up her mind before school started not to let any of the other students get away with being rude to her. She had been through way too much this summer.

Lexi finally turned to look at Sadie. Her brown eyes focused on the girl's face as she talked. "I'm usually out in the morning." She sighed and turned to face the flowers again. "Am I that interesting?" She had never met anyone that her interesting. She was absentmindedly playing with her rat, who was about like climing stairs in her mistress's hands. Lexi turned back once more to Sadie. "You can call me Lexi."
Was a friend possible, and what would her family think. Well she really didn't have one. Her parents, she hadn't seen them since she can remember, then there was Santan, he wants nothing with her. Andrew was a little more concerned about her. Violet was just there to anoy like any sibling. Lexi didn't say another word, just turned back to the flowers, thinking.
