Cougar had gone into the courtyard. It was a beautiful day, and the birds were all sitting around the fountain. The sky was a deeper blue than any ocean. The fountain was gently rolling into a splash. It was such a slow splash, Cougar thought it must have been bewitched. He sat on the bench looking into the fountain. The stone was solid, Wish my house was this solid, he thought. He thought of his dad and what he would say if he could see him now.
Cougar wore his best pair of blue-jeans and a tee-shirt. It said, Jesus is my quarterback. Cougar got this shirt, and his Minnesota Vikings shirt and it was the only football, a rough American muggle sport consisting of 11 players on a field at a time, shirt he had. He was fascinated with football. It was barbaric, so he liked it.
Cougar sat and nearly fell asleep. Between the rolling of water and the sweet song of the birds, he would have mistaken this for heaven in one of his dreams. His mind told him this would be the closest thing to heaven he'd see in this lifetime. Suddenly, To interrupt his heaven he heard the clanking of shoes.

Ariane made her way thorugh the Hallways of Hogwats. Today was a much too pretty day to stay cooped up inside. The Slytherin common room could get a bit dreary and cold already. Ariane wondered briefly how cold the room would be in winter. Then again cold wasn’t bad. It strengthened and hardened you. It most probably wouldn’t be a nice experience, but Ariane would live. She was adaptable and strong character. She would will herself to manage. But today she would soak up the little sunshine still left before winter came. Autumn storms would be coming first, but the main point stayed the same.
Ariane dressed careful. Like she always did. A pair of midnightblue silk-pants, black shoes and a lilac blouse. After some considerationg Ariane decided to not take along a jacket. She could always retreated to some quiet hallway when it got too chilly outside. But for now Ariane took along a book on different hexes and curses and sauntered through the hallways towards the Courtyard. It should be emptier than the Grounds right now as people rather tended to flock in the Grounds. Such pathethic grup-instinct. Didn’t the low-lives in other houses understand that a person could be an individual and not depend on others all the time? Being alone made Ariane’s character shine out even more, let it develop in the way she wanted to develop. Sure, some others would onyl enchance her natural beauty, but Ariane was beautiful alone as well.
Her shoes making a small sound on the small pebbles on the foot-pahts in the Courtyard Ariane wsauntered slowly through the garden making a mental note that the manor surrounding her manor looked better-kept. Passing a bit oolder boy Ariane eyes his choice of clothes coldly from under discretely lowered eye-lashes. But he was a Ravenclaw, so Ariane avoided a biting remark on the topic as she took a seat on a near-by bench in the sunshine and sat don, delicately opening her book before leaning it on her knees.

Cougar noticed a girl younger than her walk up and start reading a book. Cougar felt inclined, when he saw her, to talk. "Hey, Nice weather isn't?"Cougar said. What? Nice weather think of something better. Cougar thought to him self. Cougar noticed instead of a "Transfiguration" book or a "Charms" book she had a "Hex and Spell" book. "A duel coming up?" Cougar asked. He looked and thought he'd seen her in his classes. Oh, Yeah, she's in all of them. She was a Slytherin. He naturally turned up a nose to Slytherins, but he was naturally nice so that equaled out.

Ariane had merely had time to start reading the book. It must have been useful and Ariane was sure father would quiz her on different curses and hexes and protection spells during the Christmas vacation. Ariane didn’t mind really. She was going to have to hold up the honor of the Dianne name and one day continue in the footpaths of he parents while serving the Great Lord. Yet Ariane’s quiet reading spot was rudely interrupted by the same boy she had passed earlier. Slowly arching her eye-brows Ariane looked at the boy coldly: “I suppose the weather is close. And I don’t have any duel coming up. Those are just a waste of time.” And dueling gave away your weaknesses to the wider crowd which wasn’t good at all. There was nothing wrong with violence at most cases – plebeibians seemed to only understand brutal force sometimes – but it had to be used very carefully.
Her eyes looking at the boy coldly, Ariane made no movement to offer him a seat or even close her book lightly. He was a Ravenclaw, so he could be worse. But he was missing that special something that would title him as pureblood. Ariane didn’t think he was a respectable pureblood at least. “Did you actually even want something?” Ariane asked icily, averting her eyes back to her books.
