When Katie meantioned unicorns another happy smiled crossed the second years face. Out of all the magical creatures there were, Unicorns were her favorites. It probably had something to do with the fact they were so similar to horses as well as the fact they were so beautiful.
"I love Unicorns too! I can't wait until we cover them in Magical Creatures, I really want to see one in real life."

Katie turned her head at Nokmis and smiled a bright smile. They were so much alike they both loved horses and unicorns. Katie nooded her head as the second year talked about covering them in Care of Magical Creatures Class. Personaly Katie loved all the magical creatures, well expect Swerts, but she was now really looking forward to seeing a real Unicorn up close in person.
"I really hope we do cover them in Care of Magical Creatures class. But I like all magical anmials will exect Swerts I hate those things." Katie said swinting at the word Swerts. She remembered coming face to face with one and it had stung her. The stung was the size of a golf ball on her hand.
As Katie walked next to her new friend she smiled and tried to think of more stuff to talk about. All she could hear was the sound of the two girls feet crounching under the snow. This made Katie smiled becuase she always loved the snow and winter. The thought of snow hit her and she turned her head towards Nokmis and smiled. She remembered the trip to Switerland that was next week and Katie was attending she only knew a couple of people who would go and that was Justin Lionheart and Vanessa Link.
"Are you going on the trip next week to Switerland becuase i am looking for more people to go down the slopes with." Katie said smiling and wondering if Nokmis was also going to go.

She nodded in agreement to Katies comment about Magical Creatures class. They seemed to have so much in common, that was exactly how she felt about it too. Their similarities made her giggle slightly, and she gave Katie a smile.
"I love Magical Creatures too! It is my favorite class, my favorite part of the magical world even! Well, besides Quidditch, but it is close."
She didnt like certin creatures, slimy ones, or ones that stung, but most of them were so beautiful.
"The field trip?"
She repeated, before shaking her head
"I am going home to spend Christmas with my mum. Its jsut us and I wouldn't want her to be alone."

Katie heard Nokmis giggle and she did also she was glad that Nokmiis was comfterable talking to her. As they continued to walk in the winter snow land Katie looked up at girl and smiled, she cared about her mother and Katie wished her mother was here to celeberate her Christmass but Katie was going on the trip and she knew she was going to have fun. Then something hit Katie she than noticed that so many things have just happen to her she was now Jordan Cortes sister and they were not spending Christmass together. Katie sighed and pulled her hat further on her face and tied her scwarf more. It was a cold morning but luckly it wasnt snowing.
"That sounds like fun. I am going to be on the trip becuase apparntly Jordan is going some where else for Christmass and I dont live wih my father anymore, thank the lord for that." Katie siad looking ahead of her and trying not to cry. She missd her mim so much and wished she was still living. Katie blinked away the tears and tried to change the subject again.
"So what other animals do you have? I have a snowy owl named Snowflake." Katie said turning her head at Nokmis and smiling warmly. Katie was happy to be where she was Nokmis was so kind to her and Katie knew they were going to be good friends.
