One hour until dinner. At least thats what the clock in the Hufflepuff comon room had read. Her Magical Creature's class had just let out, and she stopped by the commonroom to drop her books off.
Now though, as she looked out the window, it made her want to go back outside again. She smiled slightly, and grabbed her Fantatsic Beasts book and headed for the door.
The courtyard was a bit emptier than she expected it to be. After afternoon classes it was normally packed with students trying to enjoy their short bits of freedom. She shrugged at the thought. She was more comfortable alone anyway.
She walked down the stone path, moving inbetween the flower beds until she reached her favorite bench. It was one of the furthest away from the castle, and on the back side of a tree. Because of this, it tended to be the least likley to be disturbed. It was another one of her favotire-first-year-spots. Here she could be alone and no one would try and talk to her.
It was only old habbit that she returned now; She was getting much better about making friends. Now though she settled down onto the bench and opened the her book. Magical Creatures was her favotire class and she wasn't ready to let go of it just yet...

Jordan strolled out of the castle and spotted Nokomis sitting on bench under a tree. Jordan smiled and headed over to the bench. When she reached Nokomis she noticed she was reading her Magical Creatures book. Jordan had deicded not to take that class this year, last year was just too hard.
"Hi Nokomis, what are you doing?" Jordan asked as she sat down next to her fellow quidditch player. Nokomis and Jordan were both of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team. Nokomis played position of Chaser and Jordan played beater. Jordan had yet to save Nokomis from a bludger at practice, they just didnt seem to like her. They never went at her, maybe once or twice, but rarely.

Se glanced over at the older hufflepuff, a little started that someone had joined her in her hiding spot.
"Hi Jordan"
She finally said after takig a short moment to regain herself. She smiled at the brunette. She didn't know Jordan well, but she seemed nice. Besides, they were on the quidditch team togther, and that gave them a bond in some way. For a girl who had grown up muggle, she had an instant love and talent for Quidditch.
"I'm reading"
she answred, putting a finger against her open page to mark her spot as she partially closed the book so Jordan could read the title.
"I just got out of class and its my favorite"

"Ahh, you like Care of Magical Creatures? I considered taking that class this year. But last year was too tough so, I decided against. Although my mom is bothering me about it. 'Jordan you need to take this class, its good for you'." Jordan mimicked her mothers spanish accent and laughed at her own stubborness.
"I dont know, it seems so challenging, plus the creatures," she shuddered and smiled, "I have a vast fear of being trampled." She said. The sun shined brightly through the tree covering, beating down on her head and suddenly her scalp felt hot, so she pulled her hair up into a pony tail.
"Arent you scared of the really huge creautres?" She asked Nokomis with an eagerness in her voice that only a 13 year old would have.

She smiled at Jordan's impersination of her mother, gigling slightly before she placed a hand over her mouth to sooth the noise.
"You should take it...its fun"
she commented grinning slightly
Then Jordan meantioned the fear of the larger breasts and she bit her lip slightly. She thought for a moment, as she had never really considered it. Then she shook her head.
"A little...maybe, but I have always liked animals, so not really. My dog is pretty big...."

Jordan shuddered and smiled. She had a fear of large animals and not only did she realize that her fear was never going to go away, she knew that it was her biggest fear of all. She looked at Nokomis and said,
"Tiny animals, are my kind of animals. Dragons, trolls, bears, anything taller then me, I will not go near!" She said in a small voice that made her seem younger then she really was. Once again she shuddered and thought of how this fear came to be. She was a little girl, not more then 5 or 6 and they had gone to the Zoo. Her mother had taken her to the elephants. She had her barbie doll with her and she dorpped it into the elephant cage, the elephant stepped on her barbie and smooshed in her head. Jordan remembered it clearly. She sighed and came back to the present.

She wrinkled her nose at the cretures that Jordan meantioned. She wasn't exctly fond of things like Trolls and Dragons either.
"Yeah, some of the big ones with tempers aren't very nice."
Her own voice becoming softer, making her sound even more like an timid twelve year old.
"Some are pretty thought"
She commented quickly looking over at Jordan. She them smiled at her beater friend, before flipping her book open to the section on unicorns.
"I think they are beautiful"
She had a slightly whisful smile on her face as she tapped her finger on the word unicorn.
"I didn't take Magical Creatures last year, so I have never seen one"

"Oh! Unicorns ARE beautiful! And they're so innocent and so sweet. But, dont make them mad they tend to stomp. Hehe, but Unicorns are my favorite creature of all! You've really never seen one? Wow...well maybe, I dont know, but maybe you can come with me sometime. I tend to see Unicorns. I cant tell you where Im going, because then I would get into trouble. But you can trust me." Jordan said, her happiness overwhelming. She looked at Nokomis, and she knew Nokomis really wanted to see a Unicorn. Jordan laughed and looked around the courtyard, people were talking and others were running around. There were a few that were reading and many that were sitting in groups trading Wizarding cards. Jordan turned to Nokomis and raised her eyebrow in anticipation.

Her eyes widened slightly at the offer. She would be able to see a unicorn. A real, live unicorn....but somehow she had an immediate suspision that it was going to involve breaking a school room--and she hated being in trouble more than anything.
"Would I have to go with you...someplace?"
She asked, the thought of seeing a unicorn still extremely tempting to her.
She shifted her weight o the bench, having an internal debate with herself as she looked around at the others. She wondered if anyone woudl notice if they slipped off, or if they would be able to make an escape and return with out anyone ever finding out.

Jordan smiled mischeviously. she had a feeling Nokomis didnt like getting in trouble. But thats what Jordan lived for. Rule breaking. Slowly, she nodded her head.
"To the Forbidden Forest. But during the day. I go in there, and take pictures of Unicorns, the Centaurs, and anything else. It's beautiful and AMAZING. You still wanna go?" Jordan asked. Her enthusiasm overwhelming. She could tell her eyes were sparkling with joy.

"The...F...Forbidden Forest?"
She asked, her voice a little shakey. Never....ever....did she even think about going in there....nor did she ever want to. Jordan seemed so eager about it though...
"We're not supose to go there"
She bit her lit again. It was her unconcious was of showing worry or concern. She wanted to see a unicorn, but students got in serious trouble for going into the Forbidden Forest....and she didn't even like getting into a little bit of trouble...

"I have been doing this since First Year. No one has caught me yet. All we do is act like we are heading down to Hagrids hut, and then at the last second sneak off to the right. It's fairly easy." Jordan reassured Nokomis with a little smile and looked over her shoulder, to make sure no one was listening to their conversations.

She was biting her lip rather hard through Jordan's description over how to pull it off. It still seemed like something that was not necessarily a good idea....

Jordan smiled and pulled her legs up under her, sitting in Indian fashion.
"Of course it's dangerous Nokomis. But that's what makes it so much more...lively. You enter the forest and you feel free. A sense of happiness and a feeling you have never felt before. Thats what its like. But you forget all about the dangers and concequences if you get caught, because in front of you stands a beautiful and elegant Unicorn." Jordan closed her eyes as she said this and when she opened them the sky was dimming.

She was still biting her lip. Somehow, the thought of enterting the forest didn't seem freeing...it seemed a little scarey. Just the thought of it...She turned on the bench so she could get a distant glimpse at the forest. It looked very dark from here. She could just thinking of the nasty things that might be in there.
"I think I would be afraid"
she admitted, looking back down at her book

"Well, I go there every day. I will be with you. And besides, theres nothing to be afraid of. And if you get too scared we can always turn around. I mean, I could bring you the Unicorn but, that would be kind of hard to explain to the professors dont you think?" Jordan asked, as she picked her her fingernail polish. She looked up at Nokomis, who seemed a bit nervouse, if she bit her lip any harder it would bleed.

Her teeth were pushing rather hard into her lip as Jordan contiued. She still wanted to see a unicorn, but the forest was definatly not a place she wanted to go to--even if there were unicorns there.
"But still....its breaking the rules"
She took her front teeth out of her bottom lip just long enough to get the words out, her worried blue eyes looking at Jordan, not wanting to disapoint her new friend.

Jordan smiled. She didnt want to seem like she was pushing her into doing something she didnt want to do.
"Its ok. If you really dont want to do it. We can do something else instead." Jordan said with a reassuring smile. She looked at Nokomis and noted that she had a habit of biting her lip when she got nervous, she had to watch out for that. Jordan came out of her indian position and stretched her legs out infront of her. She smiled as she clicked her heels together, making the clicky cliky noise. It amused her, but that was just Jordan, it probably annoyed Nokomis like it annoyed everyone else.
"So, what do you suggest? Oh! My patronus is a Unicorn. But, it's not living. I could conjure my patronus so you can see it up close," Jordan suggested with a slight anxious voice. She looked at Nokomis and awaited her answer, hoping that she would say yes to conjuring, she loved conjuring her patronus, it filled her with strength.
