Turning over in bed so she was not facing the window Melissa rolled her eyes as she heard the soft pitter patter against the window. It was raining for the third time that week. She couldn't stand when it rained because that left her with little to do, she thought of herself as a nature bug because she loved being outdoors and when she is stuck inside for a long period at a time she becomes kind of cranky. Sighing slightly she sat up and got out of bed slowly not really in a rush. Walking over to her trunk she pulled out a pink hoodie and a pair of light blue faded jeans, slipping out of her over sized t-shirt and into her outfit she had just picked out she let her thoughts stray from one thing to the next.
I wonder if my aunt had a safe trip, Mel thought to her-self as she finished getting ready. Deciding on writing her a letter mal pulled out a piece of parchment, a quill and ink from her trunk and sat on the floor thinking about what to write and then dipped the end of her quill in the ink and wrote
Dear aunt,
How was your move? I heard that you're Fiancé had a huge blow up with his family about moving to Australia, I hope everything is ok! How is the weather down there? Have you seen any interesting animals? I can't wait to come and visit you this summer were going to have a blast, when I get there you are going to have to give me the grand tour! Anyway I have to go
Love you lots
Mel
Rolling up her parchment that she had just finished and putting it on her bed Mel walked over to her trunk and put away her quill and ink. As she walked out of the dorm room Mel grabbed her letter and waked threw the common room waving to a few people she new and out to one of the many great halls of Hogworts. Glancing outside she saw that there were storm clouds that covered the sky and gave up any hope of being able to go outside that day.
Shaking her head slightly at this depressing thought Mel continued down the much used path to the owlery, as she walked she noticed how packed the hallways were and figured it was because of the rain. Weaving around people until she finally reached the owlery she steeped up and picked a pretty snowy owl to deliver her mail. Tying it to its ankle She walked over to the window and watched it fly out the rainy window. She wished she could just fly like that, fly away from everything and everyone sometimes. It would be refreshing and seemed like it would be a little adrenalin rush.
Finally after a few minutes of these thoughts Mel turned around with a sigh and walked down the stairs of the Owlery and headed towards the lounge. As she finally entered the lounge she sat in a big comfy chair near the fire and looked around, there were a couple Gryffindor, a few Ravenclaws and a small few Hufflepuff but there was no Slytherin. Mel thought this was kind of odd but she didn't pounder to long on it. Watching the flames lick the top of the fire place Mel didn't notice someone approach.
((So sorry about the lameness))
