Leo gulped down the last few sips of her orange juice and stuffed her final bite of sausage into her mouth. She took her messanger bag off the floor, and left the Great Hall with irritation, as she set off for the student lounge.
Well, you did it Leo. Good job. She thought grumpily. You've waited until the last possible minute again. Now you've earned yourself an entire day of studying. Congratulations. Leo just wanted to tear her hair out. Exams started in two days and she had bearly even skimmed her potioins notes, nor had she even cracked open the Standard Book of Spells Grade three.
"What are you staring at?" She snapped bitterly to a girl around her age who seemed to be watching her with amusement, storm down the hall. The girl turned and hurried away, as Leo rounded the corner and entered the student lounge to study, rather than the library. She didnt think she'd be able to bear the library, surrounded by nothing but books and stupid old Madam Pince breathing down her back. Leo took a seat by the window, and quickly glanced out. The sky was gloomy and grey, and there seemed to be a summer storm on the way. She settled herself down into an arm chair and crossed her legs indian style, immediately pulling out her notes and attempting to read through them. But Leo's handwriting wasnt the greatest, nor were her note taking skills. She would've asked one of her friends to borrow their notes, but she felt a little guilty always doing that. She sighed and leaned her head back against the pouf, her thoughts drifting to her real problem...Tommy. Her best friend in the whole wide world, who didnt even know she was a witch. She wasnt sure whether or not she should tell him. He was like family to her, and she hated keeping secrets, but she didnt want him to be afraid of her, or think of her as weird. Summer was coming up, meaning she'd be seeing a lot of Tommy....and she still didnt know what to do!
