Ryan rummaged through his bag looking for a spare bit of parchment. Pulling out an broken quill instead Ryan frowned at it and threw it back into his already messy bag. Being neat and orgnized was most certainly not him. Pulling out a bit battered quill that worked none the less Ryan dropped it on the table and continued to dig through his bag. Coming up with the total of one not too good looking apple, a sugar quill that was also breaken into half in his bag, a muggle eraser the homework for Muglge Studies he had thought to be lost for good and a scrap of parchment. The piece of paper was missing one corner but it would work. After Marie had so generously sent him the water-lily bloom Ashley had worn at the Halloween Ball ryan should write back and tell her how it went. Actually Marie had demanded a letter back with a report of how the dance went. Ignoring the commotion caused by some younger students who were most likely trying out products form the Weasley twins. Funny really. Scribbling down the beginning of the note Ryan stopped and started chewing on the pieces of the sugar quill thougthfully while looking at the younger students. He didn’t really want to tell his siter et how much he adored Ashley. Yet he knew he had to write something. But he might as well watch the colourful ribbons fly around wrapping themselves around students heads and arms and wondering idly how long it would take for Filch to add them to the forbidden items list. Folding the piece of parchment idly in his hand Ryan let it fly away suddenly wincing as he recalled that it was the only piece of spare parchemtn he had. The piece of parchment his sisters note should be written on! The plane landed half-way in someone’s bag and Ryan glanced warily at the person. Smiling happily upon seeing that it was a Huflfepuff - they always appeared to be the friendly sort – Ryan jumped up and made his way over to the bit younger girl tapping her shoulder lightly. „Hi, sorry to interrupt but I figured it would be nicer than just diving into your bag. My plane accidentally flew there. And I still have to write my letter on it for my sister. Even though I will have to owl it to my sister later on today not really throw it in the shape of the plane.“ Smiling charmingly so the dimple in his right cheek showed Ryan waited for the girl to reply. ((And if any more people steal my thread-titles, I'm going to smite! And soon start suing people! I could use the money surely ))

Sophia smiled lightly at the 5th year Ravenclaw boy. She hardly knew him-being in a different year AND house, but she'd seen him around, and thought that he looked rather friendly. "it's OK" she said, picking the aeroplane out of her bag " happens all the time!" She carefully uncreased the parchment, handing it over to the boy. "there you go" she said, with a grin "now don't do it again!" sarcastically...Sophia...or Soph, to her friends, loved sarcasm.

Ryan smiled happily back at the girl. A Hufflepuff as she noticed. „Happens all the time? Really? People keep on throwing paper airplanes into your bag? Made out of paper that should be filled with a thank-you letter to older sisters however being careful not to give away too much,“ Ryan sighed and unfolded the paper-airplane trying to smooth out the numerous creases in it before sighing loudly and showing the paper to the girl, „My sister won’t like to receive such a letter will she? Especially since my date to the Halloween ball liked the bloom of the water-lily she owled me that morning so I wouldn’t look like a complete idiot in front of my date.“
Ryan sighed and looked at the paper beofre pushing his hand trhough his head and offering the girl a bit an apologetic smile once agian bringing out the dimple he had in his right cheek. Ryan really seriously disliked the dimple but for some unknown reason his female relatives seemed to find it cute. Ryan didn’t even try to understand their reasoning for it anymore. „I know I have been babbling and bothering you... but think I could borrow a bit of spare parchment? I’m Ryan Wilkinson, fifth year ravenclaw. Gave you that info so you could track me down on school if I forget to give back the piece of parchment. I would be VERY thankful for it.“ Ryan offered a quick wink at the girl adding as an after-thought: „I won’t make a new airplane to throw in your bag from the parchment you might lend me.’“

Sophia offered her hand to Ryan, hoping that he would shake it. 'I'm Sophia. Aophia Hallington. Third year Hufflepuff. Nice to meet you. And people don't always throw parchment into my bag-they just always think I'm someone else they know, or something...as if I'm a nobody'. Sophia sighed. She hated always being alone, constantly being reminded by all the large groups of friends she always saw around school. "And I'm sure your sister would really appreciate being appreciated...if you get what I mean'. She gave a soft smile. She sat there, just...daydreaming, about nothing in particular, before she remembered the parchment. "Oh...sorry" she blushed, and rushed through her bag, to find some decent parchment. "here you go...I was going to use it for this Transfiguration essay I have to do...but I've got loads in my trunk...so don't worry!"

„Sophia Hallington. Pleasure to meet you. Ryan Wilkinson. But I think I alreayd siad that, didn’t I?“ Ryan offered a charming smile while shaking the girls hand before drawing out his wand and summoning his things over to the table and seating himself comfortably at the table opposite the Hufflepuff girl. It was nice to meet sweet people. And perhaps they could both keep each other company as the girl didn’t seem to have anyone here with her right now. Perhaps Ryan could even draw some inspiration as to what to write to Marie about. „Thanks for the paper,“ Ryan said waving the said parchment in the air happily after accepting it, „I seem to have tons of things in my bag but none of it is useful. And I’m rahter sure both McGonagall and Snape would simply slaughter me in my sleep if I pulled out a page from the books of their subject only to write a letter to my sister, however amusing my sister might find it. Aww, Transfiguration essay? You sure you aren’t doing it right now? I will write the letter sometime later if you need the parchment. Wouldn’t want McGonagall to pop a blood-vessel now, would we?“

Sophia smiled at her new friend. "yeah, you did say, but I'm usually hopeless with names! And it's no trouble with the parchment-I have loads of time for the transfiguration homework-we have to write about the pros & cons of transfiguring a toad into a teacup", she said, smiling! "and you know what? I really can't be bothered walking all the way to the common room-Accio Parchment". She sat there, waiting, for a while, giving an 'I'm hopeless at this stuff" kind of look. "well, I do have some-OW!!" A roll of parchmennt just bumped the back of her head. "Well, I suppose I'd better get on with this essay...*muttering* 21st November...The Pros and Cons of transfiguring a toad into a teacup..."

Ryan grinned and offered the girl a wink: „Well, if you transfigure a toad into a teacup, then it doesn’t annoy you with it’s ribbiting anymore and it isn’t slimy or cold anymore. Well it isn’t if you transfigure it correctly. If not, then it might be considered as animal cruelty. And if it’s that boys toad – Longbottom’s – that you transfigure becuase that Trevor always seems to be in the way, then that would be a lot of hassle as well.“ Ryan pondered about the possibilities of all such occasions while thoughtfully scratching his nose with his quill at the same time.
Suddenly recalling that the quilll had bene in the inkwell previouslyryan sighed and looked at Sophia with an amused grin filled with irony directed at himself. „I’m covered with black ink, aren’t I? Will it be overly hopeful to presume you have a mirror along? Girls always seem to carry around tons of things that you might need so rarely in reality, but if you do need them then you need them urgently. I tdon’t think I would really like to walk around with a war-painting made with ink on my face for the rest of the day. I know I must be bothering you to no end, but...“ Ryan smiled rather cheerily at Sophia waiting for her answer.

"thanks for the help with the transfiguration" she said, as she went into her bag to look for a mirror "there you go!" SHe handed him the mirror-small, silver and with loads of bubble type things on. "and also...if the spell didn't work, the cup could still be slimy, and you could spill the tea or whatever...yeah...". She blushed-she always seems to be saying stupid things, usually in front of people that she liked, but hardly knew... As she leant over, to re-start the essay, her long hair smudged in the ink, making it illedgible, and leaving a mass of black in her hair, which stuck it together. "Oh...damn!" she said, untying it, letting it drape round her shoulders, leavining her holding a fairly broken hair band. She brushed her hair back with her hands, and pulled it into a rough high-pony, leaving it looking worse than before, and really bumpy...she lightly smiled at Ryan...

„No problem. Though I doubt I was much help. I just sometimes tend to get into a bit of philosophical mood and sometimes rant a bit. It just happens. I sometimes could almost swear that I’m not in control of my own mind. Would I really come up with some of the nonsense-like things I do acually come up with if I was ocmpletely sane?“ Ryan shook his head smiling calmly at Sophia, „See – I’m at ranting at philosophical questions ago. Soon I’ll start quoting whether I am or wheter I shouldn’t be.“
Ryan watched as the girl’s hair got tangled with ink and he puleld out his wand. „Do you want me to try and get id of the ink? Don’t ask me why I know so many beauty-charms. As much as I love my sister – she can be a real pain from time to time. But actually such charms are rather good practice in Transfiguration. It’s one of the subjects I’m best at. That and Charms. I suppose the beauty-spells are good practice for those subjects.“ Ryan accepted the mirror gladly and cleared the ink off from his face before handing the mirror back and smiling calmly: „Do you want me to try or not?“

"yeah, OK-have a go..." she said, shrugging. "and I suppose it's understandable that you know some beauty charms, seeing as you have a sister..." She tried getting the ink out of her hair, with her fingers-it was still quite wet, so it was tricky, and unsuccessful.
"and I do, kinda, get what you mean with the philosophical rant thing...a tad strange, but anyway...I sometimes do the same kinda thing. And I always seem to be having conversations with other people, but in my head...if you get what I mean...". She blushed. She couldn't believe that she had told someone she hardly knew one of her strange, usually secrett, habits.

Ryan stood calmly walking around the table-corner positioning himself behind Sophia’s back while pulling out his wand. Starting to mutter the charm Ryan started to separate and clear strands of hair form the ink, knowing it would take a while before he would manage to succeed with all of it. “Conversations with other people in your head? With your alter egos? Or your conscience or the devil and angel that appear on a person’s shoulder apparently, leading someone to be good or bad? Something in that style?” Ryan questions Sophia calmly trying to get a clear picture as to what the girl was talking about. He thought he understood up to one point, but then again, perhaps he was completely missing Sophia’s point. “So do I have the pleasure of talking to the real Sophia… Halling…ton? Or is it some alter ego I’m talking to right now?” Ryan offered trying to recall the girl’s last name wincing as his fingers got caught in a tangle, “Sorry. Did I hurt you? I’ll try to be more careful.” Separating the tangle carefully Ryan continued to se the charm and smoothing the hair cleaned a bit further away while whistling a rather merry tune for himself as he worked patiently. Finally withdrawing his wand Ryan inspected his hand-work skeptically. It could be better. He admitted that easily, but then he had never had to use beautification spells before. But the ink was mainly gone. Sophia would most likely have to wash her hair later on to make sure all traces of the ink were gone, but Ryan had done his best. “I’m afraid this is the limit of my abilities. At the very least I didn’t make it worse,” Ryan told Sophia with a smile as he retreated to his seat pulling out a quill and glancing athte parchment for a moment before scribbling ‘Dear Marie’ on it. ((As some rumors have reached me - Ryan is very firmly taken. I wrote him after he was alreayd taken. There seems to be a bit of demand for my boys - and boys on this site in general. He's just a nice social flirt in a way - he would treat any girl this way. But he isn't intereted in Sophia as a girl.))

((That's OK...it was just one of Sophia's fantasies...))
"Thank you so much! It looks absolutely fine...better than I could do anyway!" She took out her mirror, to inspect the work...she was really pleased...probably could be a bit better, but it would have to do. "And you are talking to the real Sophia! I basically meant that when I want to talk to someone real, but I don't exactly know what to say, I just, kinda, keep going over the conversation in my head...slightly confusing, but anyway...yeah..." She looked down at the beginning of her essay...not even a whole line had been written yet. At least she had some ideas to go on, although she'd rather not spend her evening writing essays...

((I have alreayd apologized for leaving this for so long, but I truly am VERY sorry! )) Ryan chuckled a little and rubbed the back of his head while flashing Sophia a boyish smile that showed the dimple in his left cheek. “”As I said I have a sister. As she was older she naturally enjoyed most opportunities to torture me so to say. It’s almost an duty of older siblings I suppose. So I was almost forced to learn how to braid her hair sometimes. Not that I minded overly much. It gave me a chance to spend some time with my sister every evening and I liked that. We could talk about pretty much everything even though she’s 4 years older than I am. She learned to play football so I would have someone to play with as well though when our brooms were taken away for punishment when we managed some mischief once again.” Ryan noticed that he was sharing his life-story without having been asked for bit and he lowered his head his cheeks being tinted with a bit of pink for a moment. “I got carried away, didn’t I? Anyway I doubt it’s better than you yourself could do, but it’s the best I can do to help you,” Ryan smiled as Sophie once again as he put his quill on the table knowing that he most likely wouldn’t get much writing down right now anyway, “Confusing? Perhaps. But at the same time it might also be educational and clever. If you go over the conversation then you are bound to notice some little word or an aspect you didn’t even notice before. And I suppose it’s a good way to get to know yourself as well. But I’m glad I’m talking to the real Sophia right now. What is the real Sophia like anyway? Sorry, you don’t have to answer. I always hate it when people ask me to talk about myself. I never know what to say. That I’m so miraculously good and fantastic or that I’m lousy and have tons of mistakes. I just never know what do say.”

((It's Ok...and I apologise for leaving my reply for so long...well...3 weeks...))
"I see what you mean...siblings have to be evil to each other, especially older siblings to younger siblings...my brother was always pestering me, and fighting and stuff, when I was at home. It's nice that you get on with your sister though...I rarely got on with my brother. Sometimes we could have a laugh, and tell each othwer stories, but most of the time we were fighting. Probably because of the age gap...he's 10 years older than me."
Sophia enjoyed listenig to people taking about themselves-it gave her a chance to get to know them better, and she also liked telling people about her life, and often went on too far, and said things that she would rather not have said.
"Well, with the conversations, it's like, I want to tell someone something. Say I wanted to invite a friend over for the afternon, or whatever. I would, like, think the conversation in my head, including their reactions...it's confusing...but anyway, what am I like? Well, there's not much to say...I tend to think that I'm completely mental, and I get hyper easily...I enjoy having a laugh, but I also have aserious side, and also enjoy having serious discussions. When I get talking, I find it hard to stop, but it takes a lot to get me started talking-I'm quite shy, normally..."
