((If anyone else wants to join send me a pm and I'll talk with Jill about it. I'm really up for anything so feel free to pm me if you want to post))
Seamus looked out the frosted window in the student lounge. A lot had happened in the last few months. He had no idea how much trouble his last year at Hogwarts would be. He wished it wasn't like that at all. He was 17 years old. All he wanted to do was be a happy 17 year old about to graduate from Hogwarts and continue his life into the wizarding world. His mum had never warned him about things like this. He just remembered his 5th year when his mum had told him to never talk to Harry Potter again. He had believed him back then, but there was just something about a parents influence over their child that left him questioning what he believed and looking to his mum's beliefs. What else could he do? He was forced to obey his mum. Or else he would no longer be around at Hogwarts. Seamus pushed the thoughts from his mind and turned back to the empty student lounge.
Seamus always seemed to have a knack for going to the student lounge when no other student was there. It was quite amazing really. Dean had never been able to figure out how he did it, but Seamus could. It was just his gut feeling and he usually went with it. Seamus pulled out his wand and began to levitate the books on the table with a silent charm he'd been working on for a while. The nonverbal spells the professors had been teaching him over the last two years had really improved. He was one of the best in the years at non verbals. It was one of the only things he was good at. Seamus had always been one of those students that just slid by in class. He hadn't really been able to do well in any class. He was more like the person who got the lowest score they could get to still pass the class. His O.W.L. scores showed that. He had just managed to get good enough scores to continue on with a few classes that would help him become a ministry worker. He would be working in muggle affairs hopefully. Muggles had always interested him, since his father was one. He had grown up with both worlds and was planning on appreciating both.
Seamus smiled as a book dropped from the table. His concentration was lacking. He needed to concentrate if he wanted the spells to be perfect for his N.E.W.T. exams. He shrugged his shoulders. He didn't really care. Things always seemed to have a way of working out. His thoughts turned from N.E.W.T.s to the fear that had been plaguing the wizarding world lately. He sighed. Parvati was gone now and the Patil's were pulling Padma from the school. The books dropped to the ground once again, but Seamus didn't bother to levitate them again. He simply turned back to the window and stared back out it. Who's next? Will it be me or maybe Dean? Will they ever get Harry? I hope they don't, but I don't like to see others get hurt. No one knows if Parvati is even alive. Rumor has it the Death Eaters sent some kind of ransom note to her parents, but I don't know that for sure. I wish I could do something to help... Seamus thought to himself.
Seamus then began to think about how Lavender was handling Parvati's disappearance. He hadn't really seen them separated since first year. He knew that this year everyone was having problems with hanging out with their friends. Seamus had hardly seen Dean all year, but it was the life of a 7th year. Everyone had different classes now and that was something they all had to deal with. Seamus didn't know how he would be able to survive if he knew Dean had been captured by Death Eaters. It was just something he couldn't imagine. He knew that Lavender had to be hurting, but he couldn't do anything to help her. No one could. The only thing they could do now was hope and pray that Parvati come back alive and unharmed.
Seamus was continuing to think about these thoughts as the sound of footsteps fell upon his ears. He turned from the window and looked toward the door of the student lounge. He didn't know who was going to enter, he didn't even know if he wanted the company, but he wasn't like the Slytherins. He would greet whoever came through the door if this was there destination. Seamus levitated his books to the table quickly as he waited in silence for the door to open to the student lounge. He could make out a shadow just on the other side of the glass window that was in the door. He wondered who it was...
