Dancing books? (Lenora)

Timothy walked up slowly from the Great Hall to the Gryffindor Common room. Half the way up to the common room he was looking down at his feet. He finally made it to the fat lady but had to stop for a second to think of the password. He finally remembered the password and looked over at the fat lady when she swung open; he just looked at her then went up to the boy’s dormitory. Timothy didn't really know what to do with the rest of the day so he lied down looking up at the ceiling. He didn't have anything better to do so he picked up his charms book and headed for the Student Lounge. Passing by a few people who seemed to busy to talk he just waved and smiled as he walked by. Finally making it out of the Common room he headed right for the Lounge with his wand in his pocket and book in one hand.

He made it to the Student Lounge and it seemed pretty empty. A few students were reading in a corner another one seemed asleep in one of the armchairs. He toke a chair at an empty table and opened the charms book to a page held by a book mark. He flipped through a few pages before something caught his eye. ” Well I got to try this." He thought to himself smiling as he scanned the table and saw a book there by its self. He pulled out his want and pointed at the book. "Vigoro." He said in a low tone but nothing happened. He thought maybe he did something wrong so he tried it a few times but still nothing. He started to get irritated and tried one more time. "Vigoro." He said in a bit louder tone. Pretty soon the book seemed to have hopped a little. A big smile came over his face as he planned to try it again.

After a Half an hour of trying the spell over and over he seemed to have gotten it down kind of, the book still didn't want to move but when it did, it danced ok for a book. "Vigoro." He sat there as he tried it one last time, the book jumped up on a side and spun then turned around before it fell again. He started to laugh again, and then looked around and the few people what were there seemed to be starring at him.

Transfiguration, year five, how dreadful. OWLs were pure torture. Lenora wasn’t totally against studying but when teachers acted like that was all you should be doing. What about her acting? What about her dancing and her singing? They of course had not been abandoned for her OWL studies but she certainly didn’t feel like she was studying as much as she was expected to. Lenora sighed and put the book down on the table in front of her. She wanted to go to her room to study but she knew she would become very distracted.

A break is what she needed. A real break, not one of those five minutes and then picking up the book again breaks. She needed to go for a walk. Lenora reached down and pulled her black bag off the floor, she swung it around and plunked it down on the table. She cleared her things away into it as though her life depended on it and made her way out of the library. She had been spending far too much time in there for her liking lately.

Lenora threw her back against the door and it swung open as Madam Pince glared at her for making a thunking noise as her bag hit the door. She was too sick of the Library to care and spun out into the hall. She started humming to herself as she walked toward the student lounge. She wrenched open that door and peeked her head in dramatically. She looked around and then snuck in as though trying to avoid detection. She then stuck out her tongue at the people giving her strange glances before letting out a small giggle.

Not too many people were in there and the ones that were seemed either to be engaged in something else or sleeping. There was one boy though, from her own house, sitting at a table and he seemed to be practicing a spell. She watched as a book on his table did an odd flip and spin thing before it flopped back down and he laughed. “Hey.” She said coming up beside him then taking a seat on the other side of the table. “Mind if I join you? I can leave if you do. I’m Lenora by the way. Fifth year.”

Timothy looked at all the students and decided he didn't care if he interrupted them he was having fun. He was about to the try the spell again but this time, try to get it to do something else besides spin or flip maybe walk. He soon asked himself as he watched the book. "Could a book walk?" but soon the book hit the table again and he laughed. Out of the corner of his eye he saw someone coming and pulling a chair from the table. He looked over and there was a girl who he could already tell was older then him. She sat down and asked if it was ok if she could join him and that her name was Lenora and a fifth year. He already knew what house she was in he had seen her around in the Gryffindor common room a few times.

Timothy just smiled then started to speak. "I don't mind at all." He paused for a second then started to talk. "I'm Timothy, third year nice to meet you." He said smiling again. He sat there for a few second looking down at the book wondering it was possible for it to bow to people under the spell then He looked back up to Lenora. "So what brings you to my book dance party?" He said trying to be funny but the joke sounded a little corny to him. As he waited for her to answer he closed his old charms book and put it on the table and looked at it a quick second, then back at Lenora.
