Kory, extremely tired ambled lethargically to her dormitory; she hadn’t thought that her first week at Hogwarts would be so – exhausting. She couldn’t count how many time’s she had gotten lost in the numerous corridors, then having to run most of the way trying to catch students to ask for directions and sometimes they gave them the wrong bearings so that they stayed missing from their classes, just to keep themselves amused. That had annoyed her, ‘If I need to ask someone for directions, I’m going to snap,’ Kory thought to herself. She was completely fed up, she still had some homework to do but at the moment she was way too tired to even comprehend the idea of even attempting the task of completing it. She soon found herself at the dormitories door so she opened it and made her way to her bed after shutting the door behind herself, Kory got ready for bed and soon fell asleep.
Kory found herself standing in a depressing black room, she couldn’t see any light admitting from anywhere, there were no windows and as far as she could see there was no doors. Without any thought she turned around sharply and bolted in any direction, she wanted to find a wall or something that could get her out of this place. It felt cold and cruel. Kory kept running and running, she couldn’t see the end, she tripped over and fell. She turned over to see what her made her stumble leaning on her elbow to sturdy herself. What she saw she wasn’t sure of at first, it looked a bit like fault in a cliff face, or some sort of landslide. That didn’t make sense to Kory so she got up, and went over to it to study it. It was very odd, she knew that this was a room, but the substance that this was made from seemed to be like a spongy stone, not wood or bricks, she followed the trail to the edge of the wall and noticed a gaping hole. Kory gathered her nerves and walked through it.
Kory woke up and sat straight up, ‘what the, what kind of dream is that?’ she thought to herself, she had only had bad dreams like that when she was going to get into trouble. Kory was now very awake and couldn’t get back to sleep so she decide to get up and dressed, she briefly glanced at her bedside clock to see that it was six in the morning. She knew that nobody would be up at this time so she brushed her long dark brown hair into ponytail and grabbed her school bag, she’d might as well make a start to her homework now. Kory picked a comfy chair next to the fire and took out her defence against the dark arts homework. Her attention didn’t last long and she found herself staring deeply into the captivating dancing flames of the fire, completely lost in meaningless thoughts.
((((OOC: italic means dreams and thoughts.))))
