It was a rainy day out side. Rosaliz took another deep breath. She wasn't in the mood for anything. She walked in the empty corridors hearing the rain petter patter on the windows. She decided not to go to class. She wasn't at all in the mood at all. She was to gloomy to even think what she was going to have for lunch. She then decided to go to the student lounge since it was probably vacant around this time. The older students would be studying for OWlS or NEWTS. She was glad she didn't have to worry about that yet. Finally Rosaliz walked into the lounge. She was right after all. Nobody was there. She took a set next to a window and looked outside. The weather had appeared to get worse. She was kind of tired of the odd weather lately that she wasn't really use to. Rosaliz looked around the room once more. She didn't know what to do so she decided to put her head down on the table before her. Maybe this time would be valuable for a little cat nap. Since she felt like she hadn't sleep in a ages. Fiona looked down at her book bag. She was supposed to be in class right now, but she didn't feel the need to go to History of Magic. It was such a boring class, after all the teacher was dead. He probably bored himself to death. Fiona smiled at her own joke, but quickly shrugged it off as she kicked her book bag. "I need to do something interesting," Fiona said to herself. She looked around her empty dorm. Her cat sat quietly on her bed sleeping the day away. Fiona picked up her wand and quickly pocketed it as she headed out the door. She didn't bother bringing her book bag or anything else that might give her the idea to go to class. She opened the door quickly and exited before her cat could try to beat her out the door.
Fiona headed out of the empty common room. It seemed that everyone was either in class or the library. She had to agree with some of them. With O.W.L.s coming up she was being pretty ignorant for not being in class. She didn't want to think about it though. She looked around the dungeons as she sauntered to the stairs. The torches lit the floor in front of her and she paused to watch the workings of a spider as it created a fresh web in a crack on the wall. She smiled as she watched it work. Spiders were so fascinating. They were so cool, just watching as they moved and strung their webs. Fiona sighed as she straightened herself out and continued on her journey.
As Fiona emerged from the dungeon the light she was expecting was rather dim. She paused as she heard the slight tapping of rain on glass. She smiled. The sound and smell of rain was always one of her favorite things. She resisted the urge to head outside and instead headed for the stairwell. She decided to go check out the rain in the Student Lounge, after all they were high up and she would be able to see the rain hitting the grounds of Hogwarts.
Fiona climbed higher and higher until she reached the correct corridor. She peaked around the corner and sighed. No sign of any professor yet. She started down the corridor stooping and stopping as she went trying to be sure she was alone. After a few minutes, Fiona had finally crossed the length of the corridor and stood just outside the Student Lounge. She opened the door quietly and slipped inside, shutting it softly. She didn't want to give the professors any inkling that she was near the classrooms. She looked into the lounge expecting it to be empty, but was instead startled by the figure of a girl in a chair. She looked like she was asleep on the desk. Fiona laughed to herself. The girl was obviously missing her class, probably not on purpose either.
Fiona crept closer to the desk and her expression changed from humor to glee. The features of the girl was familiar, but Fiona couldn't place them that quickly. She got closer and finally recognition dawned on her face. It was Rosaliz! She hadn't talked to her in ages, not since the summer break when they had been in the Hospital Wing together due to the Diagon Alley attacks or maybe it had been at Rosaliz's birthday party. Fiona hadn't seen her since she had been taken to St. Mungos. She wondered how Rosaliz was doing. Fiona smiled as she quickly sat down next to Rosaliz and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey Rosaliz! Are you asleep?" Fiona asked loudly to her long lost friend.

Rosaliz felt her head throbbing hard. She suddenly started to drift off in her sleep when she heared her name called, with some words after that she didn't fully catch. "now I"m hearing things aren't I" she asked her self but just in case she put her head up to make sure it wasn't really a person calling her. She looked and noticed the familiar face. Her heart lept with glee. It was the only thing that made her feel happy since she returned to Hogwarts. "HI Fiona!!! It's been a while since we talked."
Suddenly Rosaliz felt wide awake. She stared at her friend. Not knowing what to say. She didn't want to immediately spill her guts to what she has been experiencing since she returned so she decided to give Fiona a chance first. "How are you? Are you OK? I've been needing to talk to you ever since the attack." she said worrying not to say anymore that she'd upset Fiona. Rosaliz forced herself to smile hoping that She hide her real feeling from Fiona. She wasn't that great at it though. Even though inside she felt torn into pieces all over again. Rosaliz looked at Fiona waiting for a rely wondering how she'd respond. To her self she could tell there was something up with Fiona and it didn't look to pretty neither.

Fiona looked down at her friend as she looked up at her. She didn't seem to be doing well, but Fiona wasn't sure if she was really going to talk to her about it. Fiona returned Rosaliz's smile as Rosaliz said something about needing to talk to her since the attack. Fiona remembered that day and her heart fell. She didn't let the change affect her physically. She didn't want Rosaliz to see her weakness. Fiona sat down across from Rosaliz and listened for a few seconds before she spoke. "Things haven't gotten better. I guess you could say they've gotten worse. My aunt and uncle thing they should be living in my parents home, which has rightfully become mine. I lost 30 house points for dueling outside the classroom, and on top of that this is the first year I haven't celebrated my birthday with my parents. I guess it's making me a bit more bitter and angry. It seems that I try for any excuse to fight and when I can't find it I start it. Anyway enough of my pathetic life. How about you? Something seems to be bothering you?" Fiona asked.
Fiona looked down as she finished talking. She didn't want to tell Rosaliz everything that had been bothering her, but she couldn't help but vent her frustrations to her friend. Fiona looked around the room trying to distract herself as she waited for Rosaliz to speak. It seemed that she couldn't expect her friend to understand, but yet she knew that Rosaliz understood more than Fiona thought she would. Rosaliz always seemed to understand, sometimes more than Fiona wanted her to.

Rosaliz looked at Fiona waiting for a reply. She knew that they were both not in a good mood and all at the same time. Fiona had said that she had a battle and lost house points. Rosaliz didn't like that fact of losing points but she was hoping that Fiona had battled with Monica. "Was it Monica?" she asked starting to feel more interested about this subject but before she could get a reply she noticed that Fiona kept talking. Earsing the duel from her mind, listening to Fiona. She had said "How about you? Something seems to be bothering you? " These words rang in her head over and over again like a scratched CD. Rosaliz just sat there not knowing what she was going to say. Well it was just to much to explain and say at one and even if she attempted to say this she knew that she would n't be able to finish. Her reply then was "long story short: Monica's on me 24/7 and pressure of the Dark LORD, memories of parents and that's about it" Rosaliz wasn't to friendly she didn't feel like talking much but she wanted to know about her friend Fiona and how she felt. Rosaliz stared at Fiona and said "we have plenty of time, talk to me of what ever is bothering you. It'll make you feel better"

((Sorry it took so long to actually get a reply up. I've been without Internet connection at my home and it's been a busy month...))
Fiona stared at her friend as Rosaliz responded saying something about Monica. Fiona didn't know the girl that well. Sure she was her dorm mate, but it wasn't like they actually talked. Come to think of it Monica didn't really talk to anyone and certainly not Fiona. They had only had a few conversations. It wasn't anything Fiona could really remember that well. She suspected that Monica was a bit of an outcast even in the Slytherin world. She didn't really care to be around people or be friends with them, at least that's the attitude Fiona got from her. Maybe she did have friends, but Fiona didn't know who they were. Fiona couldn't really say she was Monica's friend, after all they didn't really talk. Fiona would have to consider her an acquaintance that has the potential to be her friend if they talked. She shrugged at this conclusion.
Fiona listened to the quick topics that Rosaliz ran by her. She was curious about why Rosaliz mentioned the Dark Lord, but she pushed it to the back of her mind. She would ask her when they both were in a better mood. Apart from that Fiona knew that it was better for Fiona to start talking if she wanted Rosaliz to open up with more information than what she had just given her. Fiona sighed loudly as she looked out the window. The rain was splattering against the window making a slight ding every time. Fiona looked back at Rosaliz and decided to say a few things that were on her mind, hoping that Rosaliz would do the same.
"Nay, it was Cassandra Logton...oh I mean Blackfire, my bad. I keep forgetting that nosy brat is actually a pureblood. To think. She's going to ruin our reputation. Anyway...it seems that the more I try to move on with my life the more I fail. I don't know what to do and I don't know how to react to this thing called life. My birthday is coming up and I know that my parents will not be there. I'm turning 15 years old and they won't be there. I'll be alone. My aunt and uncle are putting together some huge party for my in the courtyard. They won't be there for the party, but they want it to happen. I could careless you know. I just want to continue on with my life acting like nothing happened. What is the point of having a birthday? It's not like you are suddenly a year older. You feel the same way you did before your birthday. You're not more mature and you're not different. You're still the same person and if people thing they change on their birthday's they're wrong! No one changes unless they are forced to! I was forced to change when my parents died! I was forced to become an adult and make my own choices and become more mature! That's how people change!" Fiona exclaimed. By the end of her monologue she was almost in tears. She had all this built up anger and sorrow. She just didn't know what to do about it.
