Bored? Me? NEVER!

"You bad puppy! I knew you took the toy car! Next time you don't get to play with the toys since you can't play nicely!" Kim said as she shook a finger at a plastic puppy dog that sat on a table on top of a board game. Kim was sitting in the student lounge at a table off by the window all alone. Never one to be afraid to sit by herself and do whatever needed to be to stay entertained, Kim had dug into her trunk and pulled out one of the many games she had brought from home, this time it was Clue Jr. Waving her wand about she made the various plastic pets hop about the board in her own unique variation of the game's rules, she of course knew how to play the game but it was much more fun to create new games!

As Kim lined up the pets in order from the last race she had around the board, the puppy was first, then the kitten, the fish, the rabbit and finally the bird. "OK, this time you are going to be having a contest of chance! You each will get to roll the dice and whoever gets the highest roll will get to keep that toy! Whoever gets the most toys wins! Alright then the first toy in today's contest will be the roller-skates!" Kim then used her wand to spin the green dice about five times, 3,6,4,1,5. "Oooh and we have our first winner! With a roll of six, the roller-skates go to the kitten!" Kim then slide the plastic roller-skates over to the kitten and moved onto the next toy, the baseball glove. After several minutes Kim had passed out the skates, the gloves, the ball, the toy car and was on the final toy, the teddy bear. "Alright folks lets recap our toy contest! Right now with have a four way tie with puppy, kitten, rabbit and bird each owning one toy and only one toy left! This will determine the winner in our chance contest! If fish should happen to get this toy we will have a five-way tie! In that case we'll play the ultimate tiebreaker! One more round and each of you will be rolling to see who gets this piece of candy!" Kim reached into her bag and rummages about for a while before she pulled out a wrapped piece of chocolate, one of about twenty she had spilled into her bag, of course she knew they were in there just it was a matter of finding one.

"For this last one we'll need a personal touch so no magic this time" Kim said as she picked up the dice with her hand and shook it feverishly. "First up is puppy!" Tossing the dice onto the table it spun and showed a 2. "Ooh poor show puppy, don't think that'll get you the toy but who knows! Now kittens turn!" Once more Kim picked up the dice and shook it before flinging it where it landed on its side and showed a 4. "Very strong showing by kitten! That may be a winner but we'll have to wait and see!" Grabbing the dice once more, Kim tossed it and a 3 turned up, "poor luck then fish, but it looks like we will have a winner very soon!" Tossing the dice again Kim turned out a 2, "bad showing bird, alright this is it ladies and gentlemen! We're down to one last contestant, rabbit! Kitten is in the lead now with a strong showing of a 4, but rabbit has a good chance to tie kitten, or even pull out the win with a 5 or 6. Can rabbit do? Let's find out!" Picking up the dice with both hands Kim feverishly shook it and was prepared to set it loose on the board when someone walked up to her table to join her.

Lacey smiled quietly while adding the last touch of colour to the toy car, not bothering right now with colouring the background. She had always had trouble drawing Kim however. Never could catch the real her and at the same time leave her looking like she did in reality. Lacey had drawn everyone in her dormitory and more than once but she never was able to catch Kim. She looked older than she actually behaved. But yet the picture displayed in the Student Lounge just now was just too humorous to not draw it. It had been a common hobby with her and Laura even though the dorm looked empty with one less bed, Lacey had accept the change and continued drawing. Eyeing the picture critically Lacey decided that it wasn’t one of her best drawings, at best rate it was moderate. Shrugging and pushing the page she had been drain in back between her notebook and gathering all her pencils back together Lacey stood and made her way over to the table Kim was sitting at. They knew each other a little after all. Even if Lacey had to admit that Kim made her feel a bit shy often. But she was always cheery and fun. Though not overly academic and most common person you could meet.

“Hi Kim.” Lacey said while looking at the toys placed over the table with a small grin while absent-mindedly picking up the toy car for a moment. Glancing at the pieces of toys in front of the other toys Lacey silently wondered what on earth Kim was up to. Was she distributing gloves and toys to other toys? Smiling a little at the idea Lacey seated herself over the table from Kim smiling at Kim rather brightly. From the little knowledge Lacey had about Clue wasn’t the point of playing in discovering who had done something? And in which room on the game-board that was also lying on the table. Had Kim decided to try and change the rules of the game? Or had Lacey very gravely misunderstood the point of the game. Speaking of which she had never seen such a version of Clue. Didn’t the game usually have human figures made from paper? Actually could you even play Cue alone?
“What are you up to?” Lacey asked a bit curiously knowing she might very well now hear a long list of rules that wouldn’t make any sense but curiosity got the best of her so Lacey asked anyway.

"GAYDG!!" Kim squealed as someone startled her and she dropped the dice from her hands. Looking to her right she found Lacey standing there and Kim quickly began to push all the game pieces into the center of the board. "Umm, nothing I was just playing a game.. do you want to play with me? This is Clue Junior it's really fun and it's not really that hard you just have to use the clues to figure out which animal took the toy, I think that is why they call the game Clue Junior. Oh the Junior is because it's not the adult game the adult game has you try to figure out who murdered the person and you think of who and why and with what that game is not hard either but takes longer because there are more things to find and this game is quicker you can play it a lot in a short time and it's really a lot of fun so you want to play with me Lacey huh?"

Kim began to sort the game pieces out into their proper starting positions and she took out the notepads that would be used to mark off the toys as a checklist and some colored pencils. "If you want to play we can play now or if not we can go play something else I have a lot of games in my trunk and I think I shoved a lot of them under my bed too so I can find them quicker than in my trunk you know my trunk you see it all the time it's a mess huh? My room at home is just like my trunk, my mom always gets mad at me for it but I don't see why she gets mad I can find things that I need I know where everything is and it's not too messy if you know where things are, if you can't find them then it's too messy but I can find things so it's not too messy, so you want to play this or something else?"

Jennifer watched curiously from the arm chair. The student lounge wasn't very crowded at the moment, except for maybe twenty or so people. She kept a close eye on two, which were seated at a table with many little plastic shapes in front of them. The little plastic pieces had just been gathered into a messy pile by the first person that was at the table. The second had asked something, Jennifer assumed it was most likely about the game the first had been enjoying until the second had startled her. Now, the first was talking rapidly, using the word messy quite a bit times.

Jennifer scribbled a few short sentences onto her small blue notebook and closed it. Shoveling it back into her Gryffindor bag, she placed it at the foot of the arm chair. Taking small steps, Jennifer made her way to the table that seated the two. Quietly taking a seat in a chair between the two, she grabbed up the little dog figure and studied it. She moved it around a few times while waiting for the the first to finish talking.
