To tell the truth, today was one of Colin's bad days. He was upset, frustrated, and weary of practicing spells over the weekend. Every, single, last teacher had to assign him something to do because he had lack of...of quality! Colin hadn't done that bad in class; he had just fallen asleep (almost!) in Defense Against the Dark Arts. Well, almost but the Professor had still noticed and had decided to give him homework. Colin knew that most sixth years were aware he wasn't the brightest lemon on the tree, as his father put it. It was easier to say that then saying he was dumb, because he wasn't. He was just normal. Not brilliant nor stupid. Colin looked around the dorm where he now lay on his four poster. The curtains were drawn around him to avoid talking or, for that matter, seeing anyone that might give him a queer look. This abrupt mood change didn't happen much, only when Colin had lack of sleep and had a rough day. By now he was on the breaking point.
But, as he thought it over, being around people might just settle him down. His camera was tempting him to get up and walk around the castle. It worked; Colin got out of bed with imaginary pain and grabbed up his camera and wand. He almost never went anywhere without the two, strange as that sounded. Colin had a lot of pictures of Hogwarts so he could have it with him forever and can pass it on to his generation, if they didn't go to school. That was the major plan of the future so far. Colin slid off the edge of the bed, put the camera around his neck, pocketed his wand, and left the room. He was pleasantly surprised to see that no one looked at him like he had thought; he had probably just thought that as an excuse not to move.
Colin's camera swung around his slim neck as he half jogged to the Student Lounge. He figured there would be something better to do there then just hanging around the hallways. After all, he might see someone in the Student Lounge...Okay, so he was desperate to see someone that he knew very, very well. Instead, when he got in the Student Lounge, he saw that it was nearly empty except for two Hufflepuffs in a corner. Colin didn't join them. At the moment, seeing their apparently bright and happy faces would just make him more sullen. Colin decided to sit down closest to the fire, snuggling close to the pillows and closing his eyes against any noise, but not going fully to sleep.

...Eggerburt was killed by a accurately aimed rock trhown by the giant Thunderhand two weeks after the start of the rebellion. Having lost their leader the goblins soon scattered and the rebillion died down, but it was enough to start discussions about giving more right to goblins. With a flourishing arc adorning her name and the word ’Ravenclaw’ Dana sighed at the bottom of the essay Dana threw the quill on the table and stretch lazily. She was done with homework for the coming week – at least the homework that was already known to her. Turning her head Dana glanced at the big clock on the wall of the Ravenclaw common room raising a bit surprised eye-brow at the time displayed on the front of the clock. Dana had expect it to be much later already, but this worked just fine as well. More free time was always welcomed after all.
Uncurling one of her legs from under her Dana gathered up her homework and jogged upstairs to deposit it in her dormitory. Deciding that she looked good enough – she was a girl after all. She was allowed to be a bit vain! – the way she was Dna merely pulled her hair open and pushed her spread fingers through it a couple of times. The white sweater and blue-black sketchered, almost kilt-like knee-length skirt looked good enough. Deciding not to venture outside the common room in a pair of socks that she always wore inside the common room Dana puleld on a pair of heels and left the dormitory and a moment later the common room as well with a good book tucked under her arm. Muglge murder-mystery. Not really mystery, but rather a psychological view into a killer’s mind and how the hunt on him would start and carry on.
Entering the student lounge and not seeing anyone she was friends with Dana merely made herself comfortable on a couch opening the book on the page she had stopped reading previously. Playing idly with the sapphire dangling form her neck – as well as from her ears – Dana concentrated on the book wholly. At least up to the point from wehre a black object on the ground caught her attention. Looking up at the boy looking half-asleep on the couch near the object Dana made a rather accurate deduction that the black thing was in reality the cover of his camera-objective. „Hey,“ Dana called out to the boy calmly tilitng her head slightly when she didn’t receive any answer. Pulling out her wand Dana muttered a simple charm while flicking her wand once. A simple thing really – for a moment it would seem like a mosquito bite. Having the boys ateetnion now Dana pointed towards the ground: „You lost the cover of your camera’s objective. Decided to rather wake than let you step on it later on.“

The fire felt warm on his skin and the sensation made him drift off into a half-slumber. It was comfortable, almost like sleeping on a cloud and just relaxing to the crackling of wood. Thank god for fires, Colin thought just as he heard something above him. It was something so soft that he didn't have a reaction to it, thinking it was just something of his imagination. Colin shifted slightly in the chair, curling his legs - shoes and all - under him and putting his head on the cushion. Once he was ready to fall into real sleep, he was waken up with a start as something pricked him. He looked around for the cause with wide eyes before seeing the girl standing in front of him.
"Hey!" Colin exclaimed, feeling the spot that had gotten pricked. "Why'd you do that!?" Colin ruefully gazed up at the girl, realizing that she looked familiar from somewhere, but he was upset so he didn't bother to try to remember. As the girl explained why she had waken him, Colin struggled up and stretched, letting a big yawn follow. "Oh," said Colin, "okay. Thanks for doing that then. I would have opened my eyes but I was kind of tired and...." Colin bent to retrieve the cover for the camera objective and put it on where it belonged. He was slightly glad that he had been awoken, since the camera that was still around his neck might have gotten smashed by his body. Thinking of this, Colin took of the camera and set it down gently on the table, a look of pride on his face.
"Wow. I'm glad you saw that, otherwise my camera would've been garbage. And I really wouldn't want that." Colin looked at the girl with a new smile forming his lips. "You look familiar. We've met before haven't we?" He tapped his chin thoughtfully, surveying the girl with a keen eye. "Oh, yeah. You're Dana Coran, right?" Colin smiled widened as he remembered her name. He had no doubt as to who it was now. "I'm really sorry about your...er...Kris Graas. You're related to him, right? I heard what happened but since I didn't really know you, I laid off telling you anything about my...erm...yeah." The real thing was he had been a little shy to come up and say it out of no where; and Dana hadn't really looked that good the times he had gotten his courage up. Anyways, that Graas was a Slytherin, and they weren't exactly Colin's favorite people.

Her wand wasn’t stashed away just yet as Dana felt fury raising in her. Why did so many people in this school think they had the right to talk about Kris! Kris dind’t wnat their pity nor their awkward ’sorry’s. They hadn’t been there, they hadn’t seen what had happened. They wondered what had Kris done to get hit with the curse and the rumors were wild. Dana sneered as she very calmly placed the tip of her wand at Creevey’s cheek even though her eyes were spitting fire. Kris had sacrificed his eye-sight to protect HER! „Say one more word about my brother getting hurt on the Express - as you don’t know what happened there - and I will take immense pleasure in cursing you 7 times around the moon,“ Dana said with an icy tone locking her eyes with his for a moment. Withdrawing her wand Dana slowly placed it back at it’s pocket in his belt while giving the boy a sharp nod. „Don’t worry about it. It seemed somewhat familiar. And yes, we have some classes together. Muggle camera?“ Dana looked at the camera now placed on the table with a little bit of curiousity returning to her eyes, „How did you make it work in Hogwarts? I remember you stalking Wonder-kid with it in our first year already. Some older Gryff helped you with the charms?“ dana glanced calmly at Colin again recalling rather well that he had been one of the petrified students in her first year. Dana had never completely understood what had happened or why. Dozens of wild rumours had been flying around the school and it most likely had something to do with Wonder-kid as always. The kid seemed to have almost suicidal tendencies after all, getting into trouble every year. But Dana even more curious about why some students had been petrified. Not that she would actually ask about it. ((Well, fitting title. You sure managed to make Dana's emotions do a back-flip))

Colin scooted back in his chair as he suddenly had a wand at his face. Dana seemed in a terrible fury about...what? What had he said that had made her look like some...some...Slytherin? "Oh," Colin stuttered out, his eyes slightly wider then before. "I-I.... okay." He breathed freely again as the wand was taken back. She had said that Graas had been her brother. That didn't sound right, but Colin knew better to address her on the subject again. He really didn't want to be cursed around the moon seven times. He was confused why she had gotten so upset; Colin had just tried to say he was sorry to hear about it. Maybe that had been a bad idea anyway, he told himself as he watched Dana's face. When she mentioned the camera, Colin's smile resurfaced to his face. "Oh, well, at first it didn't work at Hogwarts but I got some help with it and all," Colin said, pride returning to his words. He was very proud of having his camera, and seeing Dana look interested in it made him ready to brag. He grinned as Dana mentioned him as the wonder-kid stalker. He knew wonder-kid was Harry, but why people referred to him that way Colin wasn't sure. "I'm not sure if you can say stalker like that about what I did..." Colin's grin widened. "but it was something like that. Harry's just a really great person and a figure in history so I just wanted to get a picture of him. Were you there when that happened? In the hall, I mean? That's when all the Slyths started laughing and Lockhart came into the picture..." Colin chuckled as he remembered. "So, I got a picture of the two of them together. It's really cool, 'cause their both like important people. What ever happened to Lockhart anyway? I can't remember that well. I have that picture still with me, you know. And it moves and it's my favorite one of all my pictures!" Colin's enthusiasm must have made him sound like a stalker by now. He grinned but thought that Dana might have been referring to the time the camera had gotten petrified as well as him. "Yeah. That was really scary but it was so cool how Harry figured it out in the end!" Colin settled down more comfortably in his chair, moving the pillow behind his back. "I can't remember laying in the Hospital Wing at all, but I remember taking that picture. I was just walking with my camera and all through the hall, and I had some food to bring up to Harry, since he was in the Hospital Wing after the Quidditch match. And then I heard this noise so I turned around, still looking through my camera, and all I saw was these big....big eyes." Colin shivered. He knew he was blabbing by now, but he liked to talk. Not that this was his favorite subject, but it gave him a little spotlight. "I can't believe Harry defeated the basilisk, and he was only in his second year! I could never do that....but...is that how he got the title wonder-kid?" Colin raised an eyebrow at Dana as he closed his mouth to give her the chance to talk. ((Lol. I enjoyed Dana's little outburst. I'm not sure if I played Colin well when it happened, but I tried. ))

Dana was glad to see that Colin had taken her rather... straight... hint to drop the subject of Kris. Dana’s hand fell away from her waist as the boy started rambling about Potter. Dana arched a sarcastic eye-brow wondering quietly if she really looked overly interested in Wonder-kid’s life? Dana disliked Potter and she had never made a secret of it. In some deep part of her heart she still felt that Potter was to blame for the Death Eaters to be on the Hogwarts Express in the first place. Hadn’t they been there, then the situation where Kris could have gotten hurt would have never happened. „Obsessed a little?“ Dana asked with a bit or irony sounding from her voice, „No, I don’t think I was there for that memorable event. I have never been overly fond of Wonder-kid you know. He’s way to suicidal and reckless for my taste. And Lockhard should be in the St.Mungo’s I think. At least that was where he was taken from Hogwarts. Some spell-problem he had?“ Dana shrugged lazily, not caring very much about Lockhart. She had been amazed of him at first, but some time after the first month or two that phase had passed and she had much rather went to other classes. Either way that wasn’t so overly important. One class didn’t take up all of her time after all and Dana had already then wanted to get good marks.
„Basilisk,“ dana repeated calmly thinking back at her first year, „Must have been rather freaky. I have to admit that I might have very well transferred schools had it happened to me. Durmstrang perhaps. Have way too many relatives in Beauxbatons already. Have some in Durmstrang as well, but a lot less than in Beauxbatons.“ Dana eyed Colin rather sarcastically at the mention of food: „And you know, they actually serve food in the Hospital Wing. Just the same food they serve in the Great Hall, just in smaller amounts. I can assure you of that fact. Or have you taken food up there every time Wonder-kid gets hurt?“ Dana took a couple of steps back calmly as she seated herself in an armchair side-ways with her legs thrown over the armrest. Dana leaned her legs lightly at the mantel-piece of the fireplace in the lounge with her ankles crossed as the thought. She had to admit that while she disliked Potter, he was either extremely lucky or in someways was a hero. „Wonder-kid? No, it actualyl started as a joke between me and a couple of my friends in Slytherin. He has suicidal tendencies really, never seems to be thinking what he gets himself into. Sometimes I wonder how much he can hurt others without even understanding what he’s doing. He’s the ’Wonder-kid’ with the ironic back-ground. Does the world even deserve to be rescued when you look at everything taking place in it?“ Dana asked Colin as she turned her head slightly calmly looking into his eyes with her eyes showing sincere curiousity about what the answer would be.
