Giselle tromped into her common room, looking completely agitated. Stupid kids had gotten in her way yet again. She was having trouble concentrating on anything else besides their pitiful faces. Flopping on the bed with less grace then usual, Giselle sulked. She hated the younger years. They always looked so happy and unaware. Some of them even looked scared; but they had nothing to fear like Giselle did. She had nightmares too. They could have nightmares, but what about? Death Eaters coming to attack? Yeah, right. Giselle had real nightmares, nightmares that relived reality. Nightmares the made her go insane. Daphne Dumas came in and out of dreams, making Giselle a ghost of her former self. She hid in her shell, encasing it around her slender form.
Things hadn't been going well for Giselle this year. The grades weren't exactly wonderful next to Cathy's. She hadn't been able to converse with many of her friends and, to top it all off, she had no date to the ball! Giselle had often fretted about this obvious fact, but in the end she decided to ignore it. Catherine said that many people met their dates at the Ball. She was just going by that. Hoping, anyway. Giselle ran a hand through her silky blond hair, gazing at the mirror forlornly. Giselle frowned. She didn't look as pretty as usual nor as charming as she should. Especially, she didn't look imposing. Frail was more like it. She shivered. Weakness was her worst enemy.
Boredom slowly crept over her as she lay still in bed, breathing so softly it could barely be heard. She cursed the younger incapable students once more before pushing herself off the comfortable mattress. She had to go do something before the silence corrupted her once more. Picking up her wand, she tucked it in her jean pocket before walking out of the Dorm and into the hallway. The steady dripping sound that was ever present in the dungeons was heard today. Giselle scowled darkly; the noise was so annoying! And really, today was not a day to get on her nerves. She pranced through the dungeon, letting her feet take her to the Student Lounge, hopefully for some sport. She smirked as she opened the door, it was all empty except for her now. How....convienent for others. Giselle had no victim now. She sighed and sat down heavily in an armchair.

Cougar finished his work on his bed and dressed more comfortably in a purple and gold Minnesota Vikings, an American muggle football team, shirt and a pair of dark blue jogging pants. Cougar fixed his hair as good as he could get it in a mirror. His soft brown hair hanging loosely over his eyes a bit. He swished his hair from side to side a few times, looked at it again, and decided it would be fine. He thought of places where people to meet might be. He first thought of his own common room, but after checking only first years pulling immature pranks were in there. He then decide the Great Hall, but he wasn't hungry. He then, thought of the student lounge and decided that would be where he'd go.
Cougar swifted out of the common room, for fear of getting hit by a wizard cracker or a fundungmus bomb, and headed toward the student lounge. Cougar noticed very few people on his way there, in fact, noticed none. Cougar decided that something must be going on so he did check the Great Hall, and noticed that what seemed like the whole school was in there. However, after taking good looks in every direction, he noticed nothing going on just supper time. Cougar then thought, I thought I was a pig. He then preceded to the student lounge.
Cougar walked in the student lounge expecting as soon as he walked in to be greeted by someone and asked to explain something, but to his surprise there was no-one there other than a very gloom older looking girl. She had natural beauty flowing around her, although she did not look like she tried. Cougar stepped in swiftly and sat beside her and greeted her sweetly saying, "You look worn out, mind if I keep you company?"

Silence made Giselle's head spin and her mouth quiver. She hated silence. But it was there, no matter how hard she wished it to go away. The Student Lounge remained silent for a long while. The only real sound was the crackling of logs. It was already becoming cold in the castle. Winter - being right around the corner - was beginning to take it's toll. The grass was dying as well as flowers. Trees were losing their leaves quickly enough for Catherine to get sad again. Giselle hated it when Catherine was sad. It affected her in a strange way too and for that, she hated it. A log fell over, startling Giselle from her thoughts. The sound was followed by the click of the door. She turned half-way in her chair to see a boy about two or three years younger then her. He entered and headed toward her upon seeing her. Giselle stiffened and turned resolutely the other way, yet the boy refused to get her message. His greeting was kind enough, which made Giselle smirk at him.
"Why hello." She said snidely. "You mudbloods continue to grow. You know what? Your kind is like fungus and moss, growing on Hogwarts' once honest walls and making the castle infected with your kind. And, after inflicting pain upon the worthy for your ignorance, you continue to grow and grow." Giselle smirked at him, placing a strand of silky blond hair behind her ear. The boy was obviously unaware of her House, but if he had any indecision now, it would prove him utterly stupid. Giselle raised a cool eyebrow, her gray-blue eyes flickering from him to the fire place. When he didn't say anything right away, Giselle grew impatient. "What did you want again?" She sneered with an aggressive tone. "You may sit if you still want to. The door is still open if you wish to run away, however."

Cougar stood dumbfounded. He felt retarded that his mouth was hanging open, then closed it realizing what he was doing. What in the world was this girl's problem. Just come out with it why don't ya. Cougar thought. "Now that you have that out of your system are you going to grow up and talk?" Cougar asked her. He knew most older kids hated younger ones already much less when one of the younger ones called the older on immature. Cougar felt red in the dace after making suck a comment, but felt no remorse after what the woman had said. Then, thinking of how his mother was a muggle, flared red hot. Cougar could have knocked this person out of their mind had this person not been a girl. "You know now that I think about what you said, had I not been a person of class, unlike some I know and are looking at, and having been brought up to respect individuals of the opposite sex, I would have just knocked you out, but I'll let it slide since you look overly stressed as well. Now would you like to mature a little and have a decent conversation, or did daddy say not to worry with mudbloods, which if you hadn't noticed have more authority and presence and class than all pure-bloods put together." with that Cougar sat waiting for a reply from the dumbfounded looking girl.

Giselle rolled her eyes at the obviously slow boy. "It's not pleasant to see inside your mouth," she informed him, averting her gaze to the cackling fire. It appeared soothing to Giselle. By the time she looked back, the boy had closed his over-stuffed mouth but was using it to give a little speech. Giselle watched him warily, bored out of her mind. How many times had she heard this speech in different words over and over again? So many times she hadn't cared to count. Giselle picked at her hot pink nail polish, letting it fall to the floor. If the boy noticed her boredom, Giselle didn't care. When he was done, she had only caught a few parts of it. With a yawn that she made far bigger then normal, she loftily replied.
"Well then, that's another reason you aren't worth anyone's time. You're such a law-abider goody-two-shoes. Won't hit me because I'm a girl, huh?" Giselle snorted with diverse amusement. "You're a good entertainer. Even if you weren't such a 'high-class' little boy, you wouldn't have been able to hurt me badly. Maybe a sting or a burn, but nothing intimidating. I could do much worse to you. Not only magically, but physically as well." Giselle smirked, pleased with herself. She had taught herself how to physically fight as well. After that run-in with the Hufflepuff girl, she had tried to improve that weakness. If she wanted to be stronger then the others, she had to train and work hard. Two things she hated.
"Now," Giselle said slowly, talking with a sarcastic drawl, "I'm dearly sorry to bring you back into reality, but you are lower then dirt next to me. You aren't even good enough to kiss the ground I stand on. Purebloods have been around for centuries. Centuries longer then you! You - the filth - have only been around for a short period of time. Sure, it cuts close, but we are a magical race - purely magical - while you got picked into Hogwarts by pure luck." Giselle spat at the boy, her eyebrows raised in disdain. "Do you understand now or must I put it in simpler terms for you?"
