Ariane had been impressed with Hogwarts on the first night. But even though there were things she liked about it – the Slytherin dormitories for example – there were things she simply despised as well. Gryffindors, McGonagall and Filch as well as the local stair-cases were just a few things that she disliked. McGonagall didn’t look overly good even though Ariane showed a lot of natural talent in Transfiguration. But she was the Head of Gryffindor and Ariane found herself wondering whether she was mentally handicapped as well just like most of the members of her house. Ariane couldn’t think of any member in Gryffindor who was better than dirt.
Dressed in a pair of white silk-pants and a sea-green shirt Ariane stood up from where she had been sitting on her bed. Stretching slowly and thoroughly Ariane slipped her legs into a pair of white shoes and added a wide silver belt to her clothes, drawing attention to her slim waist and the graceful movements of her body. One more look into the mirror as Ariane added a silver clip to hold back her thick blonde hair and she felt that she looked good enough once again. Picking up the letter her parents had sent her and that she was yet to reply, Ariane located her luxurious quill and a piece of parchment with her families crest on it. Picking all the necessary things up Ariane turned and left the dormitory and the common room. She had toured the castle and grounds for the first 2 weeks of school year and thanks to pointers she had received from her friends and parents about it, she could already orientate relatively well in the whole castle meaning Ariane had no trouble what so ever in finding the student lounge.
Pushing the door open Ariane stepped in and stopped for a moment, knowing the big door would frame her petite form perfectly. Cool eyes slipped over the room which was full of people as Ariane noticed with distaste. One quick glance out of the window showed the reason for it as it seemed to be raining outside. Seemingly almost sliding forward on her feet Ariane didn’t find an empty table. But there was a table with a chess-board near one of the windows. A table big enough so Ariane could write on the edge of the table. Parents were pleased with how quickly Ariane’s sorting had went, so they had sent her a letter telling her that as an award she could spend the winter vacation near the Caribbean. She would have to reply to that letter and thank her parents for such an opportunity.
Pushing the chess-board a little ways further from her Ariane placed the parchment, ink-pot and quill on the table and settled on the chair calmly. Unfolding and rereading her parents letter once again Ariane picked up her quill and started writing her reply with the charms on her silver bracelet making a small noise when the hit each-other. The sound was quite and rather pleasant however so Ariane didn’t mind. Besides bracelets like these were the perfect way to bring forth the graceful movements of one’s wrist.
