((I hope it's okay if I pretty much let friends and Huffles in, Wendy. If it's not okay, just tell me and I'll modify it. But otherwise - anyone who knows Kitty or Wendy and would like to come visit can do so! )) Kitty eyes fluttered open. At first everything seemed like, well, best described as a washing machine. Have you ever looked into those things? If so, you'd know it's just a wash of colors, nothing really defined. And it swirls around a lot. That's what it looked like to Kitty - she felt like she was in one big washing machine. It took her a bit to console herself by repeating over and over again in her head that it was okay. The spinning slowed down... slower, slower, slower... it halted. The colors came back; a ray of sunlight filtered on to her face. Everything was so bright. It hurt Kitty's eyes. Blinking profusely, she saw that she was in the Hospital Wing. Strange. Kitty reached her hand up and felt the soft blankets, but simultaneously a sharp pain erupted in her stomach, making her lose breath. She looked down at herself. The white covers went all the way up to her chest. With slow and heavy movements, Kitty managed to pull it away from her. Underneath, he stomach was bandaged with white medical stuff. Kitty felt her strength wobble; what had happened to her?! She hesitantly felt the bandaging. She must have broken something... probably a rib. With careful movement, Kitty put her hand back down. She was sore all over, especially by her ribs. Looking down at her stomach, she saw some dark patches there - lots of bruising. Kitty swallowed hard. Oh man, oh man, oh man! What was wrong? She put her head back down on the pillow. She was so confused and so... scared. Kitty turned her head to the right and saw a young girl there with a bandaged leg. Wendy, a Hufflepuff first year Kitty hardly knew.... Everything suddenly came rushing back to her. Crawling in the grass, running into a tree, conversing with Wendy, getting attacked. Without thinking, Kitty reached up quickly and felt her nose and ears. They were normal. With a heavy sigh, Kitty retreated her arm back under the covers. There were other patients nearby, but most Kitty didn't know. Looking at Wendy, Kitty felt a lump lodge in her throat. Remembering everything made her tremble; her eyes constantly looked out the window. Where the bad guys gone? Had they left her? She was surprised she was alive, but right now all she felt was a odd numbness. "Wendy?" Kitty said in shaky, hoarse voice. It hardly sounded like her bubbly self. She waited to see if Wendy was awake or not.

The darkness swirled from Wendi's head. It twisted, dancing around her until it totally left as if taunting her. Wendi opened her brown eyes glancing at the world around her. It took a brief moment before Wendi realized where she was. The Hospital Wing. She could tell there were several other students around her all injured as well. Memories then flooded into her mind. Oh, geez there was an attack. That was it, she now remembered it all. Wendi's mind went back to the stary night by the lake that couldn't have been that far off. She hadn't passed out, right? No, now Wendi remembered she fell asleep of pain. She could scarcely remember a teacher taking her to the Hospital Wing, but she could recall it. It was all taking place in her mind. Every solitary detail of what happened was flooding through her. She could recall any fact now. Wait, she had been with someone. Kitty! That's right, she had just met Kitty before they were attacked. But, how attacked them? Wendi could see a flash of men in masks in her mind. If only she knew who they were. That's all Wendi wanted to know so she could remember that person and pray for their sanity. Wendi pushed herself up a bit in her bed. She was covered with white sheet that laid across her tiny body. Wendi's skinned burned with an odd feeling. It wasn't really a real burn. It was just an off sensation over her. Wendi just couldn't believe anything had happened. Why would someone want to hurt her? She was just an innocent Hufflepuff who hadn't done anything to anyone. Then why on earth was she hurt? A moment of pondering this led Wendi to the conclusion that she wasn't needed in any way for the Death Eaters. No, she was just there piece of candy to nibble for fun. Wendi's throat felt raspy and she took a few deep breaths to feel better. She felt pain, oh yes she did, but Wendi was a bit busy recalling events to have time to recognize it. Besides, avoiding it wasn't working but was a lot easier. How could this happen? Why? Theses were the only questions Wendi wanted answers to. Wendi took another look around her. Wait, where was Kitty? She jerked her head looking for the older girl. Wendi found her in the next bed asleep. Wendi felt anger arise in her. Why her, why me, why us, why any of us? But, these were questions that couldn't be answered. Wendi felt it now. The pain had engulfed her. She felt bruises on the lower part of her legs and thighs. Wendi reached down and felt bandages on her left leg. It was wrapped tightly. Wendi could remember this now. Wait, wasn't the bone sticking out earlier? Wendi didn't even want to check if Madame Pompfrey had fixed that. It was just too painful to think about. Wendi felt it in her leg. It burned a bit and she cringed the sheets but took deep breaths to calm her. She would be better soon or at least she hoped so. Wendi could hear Kitty stir beside her. She heard her say her name. Wendi took the sheets closer to her face to make the cold air leave her. "I'm here." She spoke. Her voice was raspy and it matched the pain she felt mentally and physically. Wendi just didn't understand this, any of this. It just didn't make any sense. How would attacking students held Death Eater and their Lord? How? It just wasn't right. There had to be better ways for them to get the evil things they want. Wendi looked back to Kitty. Tears were in her usually cheerful face that looked so full of hurt. "Why us Kitty? Why them? Just..why?" She blurted out knowing how silly and sad it sounded but she just didn't get it. She was pointing to the students around them. Some were awake, but most were asleep. Tears filled her eyes as Wendi waited for Kitty to answer. ((Sure, that's fine. I know Wendi would like for people to visit. ))

Myn shifted her weight from one foot to the other nervously, staring at the door to the Hospital Wing. She made up her mind to visit Wendi the second that Myn had heard that the girl was hurt. The two weren't exactly friends but had met and passed an hour or so talking. Go. Pass on your sympathies and then make a quick exit if you really want to, but be tactful and not a word about the attack. Myn took a step toward the door, her hand reaching out to push it open before changing her mind and stepping backward again. What if Wendi didn't want company? Its not like the two were friends. Just in the same year and had met once. Myn tugged at her brown hair uncertainly, the sharp pain tearing her away from her doubts and into reality.
Myn stepped forward again, this time determined to actually open the door. She was just about to open the door to the Hospital wing when a hand descended on her shoulder lightly. Myn spun around defensively, her chin lifted defiantly and ready to defend herself if the person was there to yell at her for some reason. To Myn's knowledge, she hadn't done anything wrong but wrong-doing was defined by a person's judgment. To her surprise, the person standing in front of her was a slightly older girl. Myn's eyes flicked to the house crest on the girls robes; Gryffindor. Obviously here to visit a friend but that didn't explain why the girl had seen fit to bother Myn. "Well, are you going to open the door?" The girl smiled in amusement, opening the door herself and stepping through before looking back at Myn. "Are you coming in or are your plans for the day to stare at the door mindlessly?"
Myn scowled at the girl, pushing past her and barely resisting the urge to stamp on her foot. What gave this girl the right to mock her? So Myn had been staring at the door for a few minutes, big deal. The pattern of the wooden door was really quite interesting. "Yes, I'm going in. To visit a friend actually." Myn threw the girl once last glare before scanning the beds to see which one Wendi was in. After locating the bed, Myn walked over to it and smiled at Wendi shakily. "Hi Wendi, I'd ask how you are but it seems rather a silly question considering the circumstances." Myn's tone was deceptively light and almost joking but her green eyes shimmered with unshed tears. Myn hadn't been injured by the attack and to see so many students lying in bed, bandaged and bruised, was shocking.
((All god-moding of Kia (for that is who the blonde Gryffindor is -and she has plans to post in a few minutes I believe) done with permission. Kitty, Wendi, if you mind either of us joining then please feel free to tell us to get lost.))

Kia sighed, turning the corner and making her way to the Hospital Wing. She had been discharged earlier since she only had a few bruises and an injured ankle but here she was going back. This time to visit a friend though. Kia winced, stopping to rub her ankle gently. Madam Pomfrey had healed it but it still throbbed occasionally; nothing that wouldn't go away after a day or two. Nothing as serious as all the other students still lying in the Hospital Wing. Kia dashed a tear away from her eyes quickly, crying wasn't going to heal them and it wouldn't make them feel any better either. It would most likely just make them feel worse and do more harm than good. No, crying in the Hospital Wing was definitely not on the agenda.
Kia stopped and blinked at a small brown-haired girl blocking the door to the Hospital Wing. The younger girl stepped forward, hand out-stretched to open the door, and then walked backward again. Kia chuckled quietly, the amusing sight lightening her dark thoughts, and tapped the girls shoulder gently. As if to further her amusement, the girl spun around, obviously expecting an argument or a fight. Kia smiled innocently, checking the house crest on the girls robes discreetly. Ravenclaw, a first year by the look of it. "Well, are you going to open the door?" Kia asked impatiently, wanting to see Kitty and check that the older girl was alright. Kia stepped around the younger Ravenclaw and opened the door herself, throwing a careless comment over her shoulder, "Are you coming in or are your plans for the day to stare at the door mindlessly?"
The Ravenclaws retort only turned Kia's half-smile into a fully fledged grin. The younger girl certainly had the ability to make people laugh, even if unintentionally. A good ability but not exactly appropriate at the moment. Kia crept over to Kitty's bed quietly, not knowing if the girl was awake or still sleeping off her injuries. Thankfully Kitty was awake, which meant that Kia wouldn't have to either stare at the sleeping girl or leave and come back later. "Kitty, I thought that we'd talked about the bad side of walking into walls?" Kia smiled weakly, hoping that Kitty wouldn't blow up at her for joking. Truthfully, joking was the only way that Kia knew how to handle the situation without crying and she'd already decided that crying was a bad idea.

Kitty blinked. Wendi certainly seemed to be able to remember the attack. Kitty hadn't been sure if she would, considering she herself had a hard time recalling the events. The younger girl seemed to be on the verge of tears as she talked; Kitty wondered if she would recover from the shock sooner then herself. As for Wendi's question, Kitty just grimaced. There was no real answer. "Just wrong place at the wrong time," she said, her voice stronger then before. She just had to put more effort into it. Giving the girl a painful, but what she hoped was encouraging, smile, Kitty leaned back on her bed. In what seemed a long way away, the door opened and the sound of feet reached her ears. Kitty didn't even look up. Probably for someone else. Yet when the footsteps stopped they were in between her and Wendi's bedside. Kitty struggled to raise her head again. She had a huge migraine.
"Hey!" Kitty said roughly. Kia's next comment made her laugh, but as she laughed she started to choke and cough. She felt weak all over and, because of that, she felt ashamed. Looking down, Kitty struggled to end her coughing fit as quickly as possible. When it was all done and over, Kitty smiled. "Walls are much more friendly then what attacked me." She bit her lip and shot a furtive glance out the window again. Even though the sun seemed to dance with joy and everything seemed your average day - she felt sick with fear and a strange feeling - that of betrayal. She wouldn't be able to go outside for a long time without feeling that way. Laying back down, Kitty gave a weak smile at the other girl who appeared to be Wendi's friend. Well, that was good. Kitty moved her eyes back on Kia. "So, how are you doing? Desks haven't been attacking in my absence, have they? Or are they waiting behind a corner for me?" She grinned, feeling a little better.

Kia blinked in alarm as Kitty started to cough and reached over to rub the older girls back gently and soothingly. The trick always worked on her sister when she was ill and Kia only hoped that it would work on Kitty too. "Hey," Kia grasped Kitty's hand firmly and squeezed it gently, "it could have been much worse. I'm not going to lie and say that it couldn't have been better because it could have. But it could have been worse." Kia's eyes glittered with tears that she refused to let fall. She had only met Kitty once but had enjoyed the older girls company and found her to be as crazy and fun-loving as Kia herself. Just the thought of a friend, however distant a friend, dying was enough to make Kia cry and only pure willpower stopped the tears falling. "You'll be back on your feet in no time, cursing walls and complaining about desks attacking you." Kia grinned weakly, trying to make the tears in her eyes disappear before Kitty saw them.
"I'm fine. I was one of the luckier ones, escaped with a few bruises and a sprained ankle. Madam Pomfrey healed them and sent me away an hour or two ago." Kia half-smiled at her friend, not mentioning that her ankle still throbbed if she walked for too long or that she could still see the faces of the Death Eaters in her mind. Kia knew that she had been lucky to escape with the few injuries that they had inflicted on her and as thankful that she was alive to see her sister again when the summer came, if the Death Eaters didn't attack again before then anyway. "I've been keeping a close eye on those desks, the only person they've attacked is me." Kia grinned, happy that Kitty seemed to be more cheerful and more like her old self.
The mental scars of the attack wouldn't fade from anyones mind for a long time, even from the minds of the people who weren't attacked, but it was good to see Kitty smiling. The people who weren't involved in the attack would perhaps feel almost as bad as the people involved, survivors guilt the muggles called it. "I'm sure that the desks will be waiting for you when you come out, ready to trip you over again. I'll try to convince them to leave you alone for a few days but, knowing those pesky desks as well as I do, they'd just attack you twice as hard when the few days are up."

Wendi nodded trying to wipe the tears from her eyes. She felt no shame in crying, she never had, but it was so different now. The tears didn't make her feel better as they usually did at times. No, they just laid there as if egging her to cry some more. Wendi pulled her white sheets up to wipe off the left over tears she hadn't managed to shed before. She turned her head to Kitty just wanting everything to go away. Maybe then she could be the cheerful girl that seemed always happy but lacked something major ,parents, but that girl seemed to be away. Wendi brushed her bangs from her eyes. She heard what Kitty said. The wrong place at the wrong time. True, it made perfect sense. But, those words made Wendi think of fate. Was this her fate? Was this meant to be? This just didn't make sense to her. Yes, they had been at the wrong place at the wrong time, but was it for a purpose? Or was there pain just there for no reason? This was something yearning in Wendi's brain.
The tears were gone and Wendi was thankful for that. "Well, maybe next time I'll be in the right place and they will give me candy." She tried to joke and it helped her for a brief moment. But, then Wendi's thoughts trailed away. She wondered if Jamison knew. What would he say? Wendi had a strong feeling just to have him close to her at that moment. She just wanted him near, but she knew if she wanted it, it might not happen. So, Wendi tried to forget about it thinking maybe he would come later. Wendi's head turned as the large doors opened. Was it visiting time? Wendi wouldn't mind seeing people. She never did. Wendi loved seeing friends, but she didn't really know what to say to them. Wendi's mouth let out a grin for the first time in awhile. Myn walked in followed by a girl Wendi didn't know. Myn approached her as the other girl approached Kitty. Wendi was glad Myn had come, she needed someone to talk to besides Kitty. Someone that could take her mind to the world outside the attack even if for a moment.
True, Wendi couldn't really call Myn a friend, but she was something. Maybe Wendi could get to know her better. Maybe then, they could really be friends. Wendi smiled as she walked over trying to lighten the mood. She nodded lightly listening to Myn as the smile faded away. "Yes, I wish you could ask me this I dunno, maybe with me wearing actual clothes." She joked for a moment prodding at the hospital gown she was sporting. Wendi could still joke, but it came and went. She tried to move up a bit, but this only hurt her leg. Wendi gave this pained expression, but continued to pull herself up. She could do this. Now, that she was sitting up, Wendi felt better. "I've had better days." She said calmly. It seemed the shock had warn off. Or at least she was said to have it. Wendi really didn't know how shock felt but maybe this was it. Wendi could hear the other girl talk to Kitty, but she just looked at Myn. "Umm, so, were you there?" She asked wanting to know if maybe Myn was hurt and had been discharged or not. She really didn't know. Wendi waited for an answer.

Myn smiled weakly at Wendi's joke, glad that the girl actually felt up to joking. Had the positions been reversed then Myn would probably have refused any visitors and wallowed in self-pity until she was discharged. But Wendi seemed stronger than that, she was able to joke and to face visitors. "I'm sure that Madam Pomfrey will discharge you soon," Myn lied quietly, secretly believing that Madam Pomfrey would be keeping Wendi and all the other injured students in the Hospital Wing for a considerably long time, long enough to not be called soon anyway. "Better days? Oh no, how could you have a better day than this?" Myn commented sarcastically, her naturally biting personality rising to the front now that she saw Wendi was feeling alright. Myn wasn't used to seeing her friends, or people she knew, in a hospital bed and it unnerved her to the extent of making every word sound sarcastic and cutting.
"No," Myn bowed her head in something resembling shame, her answer so quiet that anyone would have trouble hearing it. "No. I wasn't there. I didn't get attacked." Although she was relieved that she wasn't injured and that as far as she knew, all of her friends were relatively unharmed, Myn still felt a small amount of guilt. Guilt that she had been one of the few to escape unharmed whereas so many others had been injured or, in a few cases, died. Myn lifted her head to meet Wendi's eyes, fully expecting the girl to feel angry about Myn not being harmed when Wendi had been ruthlessly attacked by the Death Eaters. And who would blame her for being angry? Myn looked around the Hospital Wing sadly, her gaze skimming over the sleeping students and the few students who were lying awake. Why should Myn have escaped unharmed when these students were injured?
Myn reached into the bag at her feet, drawing out a wrapped gift and an unwrapped slab of Honeydukes chocolate. Thank Merlin for owl orders otherwise Myn would have been forced to come without a gift. "I couldn't very well come to see you without the obligatory gift of chocolate, could I? And I'm just hoping that you like the other gift. I wasn't sure exactly what to get you but I can change it if you don't like it." The wrapped gift was a book about how to make candy and chocolate since Myn had remembered Wendi mentioning her wish to open a candy store. She knew that Wendi was likely to change her mind about what she wanted to do a million times but the book should amuse her for now and if Wendi stuck to her dream of opening the shop, it would help her.

Wendi was attacked. This one sentence ran over and over again in Jamison's mind. It crashed against it until he could think of nothing else but those three painful words. Jamison knew of nothing else in the world except for the fact that his sister was hurt. He had heard it only moments before but it felt as if Jamison had heard it for his lifetime. He knew the school had been attacked and had done as instructed when teachers told them to stay in the common room, but he had no idea his own sister had been hurt. Not, until moments before when he had been told. Jamison's mind couldn't think about anything else besides that she was hurt and one more thing about her. Jamison remembered when his grandparents instructed him to keep an eye out for Wendi. He had failed them. Jamison hadn't watched her closely or this wouldn't have happened. These things ran through his mind. Jamison didn't know what condition she was in. He knew she wasn't dead but this just wasn't enough. He had to know everything, Jamison needed to know exactly what happened to his baby sister.
The castle seemed to be getting bigger and bigger as Jamison walked. He was going at a very fast face, but it still seemed to take forever in time. Jamison could see students around him as they were now aloud out. They all had sad and pained expressions on there faces. Some were in tears, others seemed to be in a bit of denial, but no one's face looked as Jamison's did. It was a determined look, a sad look, a look of total hatred for the Death Eaters that did it. Jamison had never felt hatred like this before but someone had hurt one of the only people he could ever call family. Jamison kept up the pace nearing the Hospital Wing even though it felt like the journey took an eternity. He didn't know what he would say to Wendi. That wasn't important. He just needed to know she was alright and help her. That was all Jamison wanted to do.
He opened the large doors. Injured students were all around him in beds. Some were just sleeping and some you could tell hadn't awoken from the attacks yet. It was a sad thought, but Jamison just needed to find Wendi. He had heard she had been attacked with another girl. Jamison didn't know if she was okay or not either. He knew little and Jamison just wanted to know more. Spotting her face in a bed, Jamison walked closer to his little sister. She looked okay for the moment. She was talking to a little girl about her own age. Jamison stared at her straight in the eyes. Before he said a word, Jamison reached for the chart at the foot of her bed. He was concerned for her mental health as well, but he needed to know the injuries. Wendi looked paler than usual and a bit bruised but the covers hid most of her injuries. The paper said shock, bruising, and a broken leg. Jamison then put the chart down.
He looked at her straight in the eye. How could this have happened? Why? Jamison didn't know what she did or if she was just a pawn for the Death Eaters to play, but either way he loathed them with every fiber in his body. Jamison gave her a concerned look. "Are you okay?" Was allt hat he could find the courage to say. Jamison knew he could do better than this, but it was hard seeing someone he loved in pain. "You know I love you right." Jamison knew he sounded like a baby but he really didn't care. "Do you remember what happened?" He asked wanting to make sure she could. He had to know she was mentally okay. Jamison gave her a faint smile waiting for Wendi to reply.

Usually Wendi had no problem crying or just letting her every emotion out, but this was different. The more Wendi wanted to cry, the more she couldn't. She just knew the crying couldn't help. It would just make her remember and that wasn't what she needed at the moment. Wendi remembered so many times when she was younger that she cried in Jamison's arms. It didn't matter what it was, he would comfort her. Wendi knew he would come all too soon. She knew he would comfort her and she loved him for it. Wendi just needed her brother to tell her things would be okay even if they wouldn't. It might sound childish, but that was what Wendi needed. Maybe she was just growing up, maybe the not being able to cry was just part of it. Or maybe it was the shock acting through her. Wendi didn't really know, but she was glad to have Myn near her, she knew that. She just needed someone from the world to come talk to her. Someone that could make her feel normal and not wounded.
Wendi nodded when Myn said she was sure Madame Pomfrey would discharge her soon. She herself didn't know about that. Madame Pomfrey would let her go when she knew the school was 100% safe and that Wendi was perfectally alright. She would do that for every student. Wendi let out a weak smile when Myn replied to her better day comment. Sarcasm. It was a funny thing. It was one of those things Wendi was very familiar with. "Okay, well I've had worse." The smile faded a bit as she said that pretty calmly. The words she just said was a fact. Wendi had indeed had worse days. All the days she spent missing her parents were fine examples. Wendi would rather have them back and loose a leg. She would take that deal in a heart beat. Unfortunately, it was one that would never be offered.
Wendi nodded when Myn said she hadn't been attacked. She was relived. No one deserved that. "I'm glad because these gowns are really uncomfortable, you would have hated it." She let out one of her jokes but they didn't seem to help too much. Everything was silent for a moment until Myn said she brought gifts. Wendi smiled. "Well, I would say you didn't have to, but then I would be lying." She said almost cheerfully. Wendi winced for a moment when she felt a pop of pain in her leg. It faded, and she watched as Myn took out chocolate and a book. "Of course, I can always use chocolate." She said just smelling it through the air. Wendi couldn't help but grin when she held the book. "You remembered. Thanks." She said eying the cover. "This will take up much of the boredom that would have been wasted here." She said still looking at the book. Wendi then glanced back at Myn. "Thanks for coming. If it were me, I think I would have been too scared. I probably would have gotten an owl to deliver gifts or something like that." She said with a sincere look on her face.
Myn didn't have time to respond because Jamison came through the Hospital Wing doors. She could tell he was concerned. Wendi then felt the sudden urge to cry, but she held it. She needed him, she always had. Jamison was the one person who seemed to know everything about her, everything. "Jami." She said in her low, raspy sick voice as he walked up. Jamison looked her straight in the eye before picking up her medical chart. Jamison was concerned for her mentally, of course he was, but he had to know she was okay physically. Wendi knew him like that. He just wanted to make sure she wouldn't fait on him or something. Jamison was like a healer or muggle doctor in that sense. It took a moment for Jamison to look the chart over and put it down. She tried to smile at him but seeing the look on his face just made her feel sad. She nodded when he asked if she was okay.
Jamison asked if she remembered what happened. Wendi's eyes opened and she nodded. He then said she loved him but she tried to forget he said that only briefly so she could get through the story tear-less. "I was outside by the lake, sad and singing mom's song." She paused before going on. "Kitty was crawling on the ground and she hit a tree. We both introduced ourselves. Wendi pointed towards Kitty. "Before we knew it, Death Eaters silenced both of us and hit me with charms." Wendi felt tears near. "I couldn't tell what happened to Kitty." She said looking towards the older girl. Wendi wanted to know, but Kitty would say when she was ready and Wendi wasn't about to ask. "I love you to. And don't think this was you fault." Wendi said knowing Jami maybe more than he knew himself. "If you were there, you would have been hurt too so don't say that it's your fault that you weren't there." Wendi could feel the tears streaming now. "You didn't fail grandma and grandpa, you are always there for me, but you couldn't save me this time." Wendi turned her head towards Kitty not knowing if she heard all of this. She then looked at Myn hoping it wasn't scaring her. Wendi looked at Jamison hoping for a reply.

Myn watched Wendi carefully, checking for any signs that she was likely to start crying. Tears usually made Myn nervous because she didn't know how to handle them. Never having to deal with a crying sibling or cousin or even friend had made Myn unable to deal with tears. Myn chuckled weakly as Wendi made a joke about the hospital gowns, suddenly glad that she had come to visit her friend. "They certainly look uncomfortable. I'll bet that you can't wait until you're discharged. You'll be back on your feet searching for leprechauns and making flower chains in no time." Myn grinned as she replied, mentally reminding herself to bring flowers if she had time to visit again. Flowers always brightened a room and if a room ever needed brightening then it was the Hospital Wing. Not that it was dark, just the general feeling that seemed to linger in the room. Like a reminder of the attacks and the injured students.
Myn laughed, brushing her brown hair away from her face carelessly. This visit seemed to have done Myn more good than Wendi, boosting her confidence when Wendi had been glad to see her and perhaps stabilizing the weak friendship that had already existed between the two young girls. "Everyone can use chocolate," Myn agreed with a smile, "it's like Merlin's gift to witches, wizards and muggles alike. The one area where we're all truly connected." Myn chuckled, a sad pang of remembrance stabbing her as she remembered the happy years in the muggle world. They had likely only lived there because of her mother, now that the family was broken Myn and her father would probably be moving to the wizarding world. A big change but definitely an exciting one. If that even happened, Myn still hadn't replied to her fathers letter about her mother leaving. Yet another thing to do before the end of the week.
"Of course I remembered, it wasn't that long ago. And to be honest, I thought about using an owl to deliver the gifts. I must have considered it at least a thousand times. I was waiting outside the door for about an hour today, wondering whether or not to open the door. In the end, that Gryffindor," Myn tilted her head toward Kia slightly, "decided for me. She opened the door and gave me no other choice. But I'm glad that I came to see you." Myn turned around as the door opened, recognizing the boy as an older Ravenclaw and identifying him as Wendi's brother. Obviously here to check up on his sister and obviously worried about her. So that was what a brother acted like toward his younger sister. Protective, caring and loving. Myn watched the siblings with a small amount of envy, she had always wished for a brother or sister and seeing what she couldn't have sometimes hurt but more often was enjoyable.
For some reason, there was only one chair next to Wendi's bed and Myn rose to offer the seat to Jamison. It appeared that the two siblings had to talk and get past the horror of the attack on Wendi. Now that was something that Myn really didn't want to intrude upon. Jamison and Wendi probably wouldn't appreciate her being there and listening in to their conversation either. No, Myn would leave before they asked her to. That would save them all a large amount of awkwardness when the two were trying to talk but finding it difficult with an observer. "Feel better soon, Wendi. I'm sure that would save your brother a large amount of worry." Myn smiled at Wendi and inclined her head to Jamison politely, waiting for Wendi to dismiss her before leaving. Myn didn't really mind leaving, it was only right that both the Parson siblings talked and soothed each other. After all, wasn't that the point of having a brother or sister, to always be there for each other and help each other?
