[Rosaliz Hernandez G6]

Rosaliz opened her eyes; she saw somebody looking down at her. But couldn't tell if it was a boy or girl because her vision was a bit blurry. She was quite relieved to have been alive. After recovering her vision it took her a couple of minutes for her to realize she was in the hospital wing. Rosaliz tried to sit up. Apparently her ribs were in really strong pain. She then realized that the image that had been standing near was Thomas!! How she missed him! His long black hair, his overly sized clothes. How she loved the way he dressed. It made him….him. She looked at him. He looked sad and she knew he hadn’t been in Hogwarts for the last three months. Did he just arrive? she thought, Did he save my life? She remembered Thomas always being there for her from her party, to her health. What a good friend he was. Smiling she wanted to stand up and give him a hug. Moving out of bed she felt her ankle have a great shot of pain. She fell in the ground. Her ankle and leg wasn’t enough to support her weight even though she was a skinny thing. Feeling a tear roll down her cheek she forced her self to stand up and go into the bed. Madam Pomfrey saw her jump back inside. “Stay in bed young lady, I still need to attended you” she said walking her way towards Rosaliz with a bottle in her hand.

Watching Madam pomfrey examine her she murmur about having a sprained ankle and broken leg. She watched her do a charm making her robes dry instantly and gave her a cup of a liquid to drink. Rosaliz swallowed the first sip. It had a fowl taste with a burning sensation. Immediately she spat it out. “What do you think it was pumpkin juice?” she scowled at Rosaliz. Rosaliz lay there hoping that Thomas would stay a while. Pomfrey slowly made her way back to her cupboards of remedies while saying that Rosaliz was going to stay over for the night.

Thomas had got to the hospital with Rosaliz on his back and Madam Pomfrey quickly got to work on healing her. He said down by Rosaliz and closed his eyes and started to sleep a little. He was kind of exhausted, its not very easy pulling someone out of a lake then finding out it was a friend over yours and detention was soon coming. But when she fell he woke up and by the time he tried to help. He let Madam Pomfrey talk to her before he started talking to her. "You gave us all a scare right there." He said smiling sounding a little tired. "Well just me you’re lucky I got back a few days ok or I wouldn't have been out there." He said looking down at her on the bed. "And if it was pumpkin juice I could use some right now." He said smiling.

"Its nice to see you again. So how have you been these past few months?" He said looking around to see what Madam Pomfrey was up to then looking back at Rosaliz.

Rosaliz looked at Thomas. He had asked her how she had been for the past couple of months. She stared at him saying no word. She didn’t want to tell him. He did look bad himself so she didn’t want to worry him. Of coarse she had been having rough months during the school year that weren’t so easy to go by threw. She had suffered more than anybody could have known. Not just mentally but physically also. This had been the fourth time in three months during the school year in the hospital again!!! But each incident had a different meaning to. How she wanted to stay strong in front of her friend but the challenge was just impossible for her. She knew that she scared anybody who she talked about with about her life. If she did tell him she feared that he would walk away never wanting to know anything about her again.

She looked at Thomas. She knew that his problem was worse. Considering that he had been out, missing school. She just wanted to make him feel better. She wanted to show him how strong she can be, but just not at this moment for she can feel her bones healing at that moment. How the pain, increased ever minute, second. She just wanted to let it out but couldn’t. So she decided asking him, would keep her hopes up. “Thomas, you look sad yourself. What has been bothering you? I’ve known that you’ve been out for a couple months. Are you ok?” she didn’t want to sound nosy but wanted to help a friend. So she layed there waiting for his reply instead.

Thomas sat there and listened to her ask him if he was ok and what was bothering him. He soon tried to smile and it seemed kind of hard for him to do at the moment being back at a hospital well some what of a hospital it just reminded him of the past few months. He looked down at the ground trying to think of something to say besides the truth but nothing seemed to come to mind. He looked back up to her and started to talk. "Well I had to leave school..." He paused then started again. "My mom went to the hospital and the doctors said she was close to death." He stopped again; all the memories were coming back then looked at the ground.

"Well I stayed by her side the whole time and she seemed to recover fine but couldn't remember much cause of the seizure. So I stayed an extra month at home to help her remember everything. So the doctors say she'll be fine." He said looking up at her. He didn't like depressing moods and this was one and then he did a kind of weak laugh. "You want to know the first thing she said to me when she remembered I was a wizard and about Hogwarts and how I wasn't there." He laughed again weakly. "She said, just think of all the work you’re going to have to make up." He then looked at the ground. "I still worry about so much." He said getting depressed again.

Rosaliz looked at Thomas. She listened to him with full emotions he had talking about his mother. Rosaliz felt teary eyed. She wanted to hug him. Tell him that everything was going to be all right. And that he was lucky to have his mother and that she survived. How she missed her mother. She dreaded her every day and night. She missed the securing arms that her mother gave her. She missed everything. She looked at Thomas. She felt a tear roll down her cheek. “I hope she’s all right. At least you have her.” She replied in a soothing voice. She wanted to give her friend a hug. But couldn’t. Rosaliz didn’t know if her friend knew. But she was an orphan. Yes an orphan. She had lost her mother last year during the school year and her father during the summer break. She lost almost every family member except her aunt and her uncle. Even thought her family was just her aunt and she did feel her grasp falling away from everything she knew. She was worried about her friend to, until now. At least she knew he was safe at least. She looked at him hoping for the best. And waited what he was going to say.

He smiled when she said she hoped his mom would be fine. "I'm sure she will be she's a tough lady." He said kind of smiling. "I would know she sure beat me enough when I was bad.” He said softly laughing trying not to get Madam Pomfreys attention; he didn't want to get kicked out. He looked around quickly to see if there was anyone he could wake up by accident but the hospital wing seemed pretty empty. He looked back at Rosaliz smiling. "Well Madam Pomfrey says you’re going to be just fine pretty soon and she’s almost always right." He said remembering when he was in here after the train attack the beginning of school.

"So how have things been while I was gone?" He said looking at her. "Could have been that much fun without me?" He said trying to be funny trying to get her in a better mood.

Rosaliz looked at Thomas, yes they were friends and he had asked her how many bad things had happened to her. BUt she wasn't sure she wanted to tell him after all she didn't want to depress him evne more then he was. She looked at him and said. "many things happened. Madam Pomfrey has been getting frequent visits from me alsmot all the time." she gigglred. But it was true. She just didn't know how to put her other things in words, so she layed there waiting for his responce.

Thomas laughed looking at her lie in her bed. "Yes, she said she saw you a lot lately. So what happened getting into fights, beating up Slytherins or something." Thomas said smiling he knew that probably wasn't the reason but he was trying to make the mood better and not depressed anymore he had been depressed enough for a long time. "So you don't know how to swim?" He asked. "I didn't know that you need to learn sometime I'll help you if you want." He said smiling as always.

Rosaliz eyes glowed in joy when Thomas said about swimming lessons. Yes, she couldn't sminw. From past experience it was about time for her to learn. She just still was planing afraid, thinking she'd drown. How she hated that. Sighing, sje looked at Thomas. He was just joking about the slytherin part but it was true. SHe had been on and ogg with this slytherin that she had been afraid of, and had been running away from her these couple of months. Yes she was afraid, and if she didn't run she'd get attacked by this mean grouchy person. It didn't matter because she'd always be around tearing her from limb to limb.

He sat back on his chair he could tell by the look in her eyes she wanted to learn or at lest was interested. He looked around and he started feeling a little hungry. "You feeling hungry or anything?" He asked looking at her but before she answered he talked again. "I'll be right back." He said walking off. After about ten minutes he returned with two cups but no food. He sat down in the seat he was in before and put one cup by her bed. "Its pumpkin juice, the elves will do anything just to get you to go away." He said smiling, "Or maybe it’s just my great personality." He said laughing meaning it has a joke.

"So what were you doing walking around this late?" He said looking at her drinking out of his cup.

Rosaliz watch Thomas leave the room. Sighing she wondered why he’d been such a good friend? He had put so much with her and stilled liked her as a friend, not minding the differences between them. After coughing a little she watched him walk back in with two cups of some sort of liquid. He had mentioned pumpkin juice. This reminded her of the fowl tasting medication she had earlier. She agreed and took the cup he had put on her bed. She took a sip. How it tasted, the way it smelled, she loved everything of this juice. She looked back at Thomas with a smile. “Thanks this is great. I hope the elves are as happy to at least make this. Don’t they get paid? I’m not sure” But before she could continue he had asked her what she’d had been doing out so late. “I had been having problems so I needed time alone. So I thought going outside would be a great place to think things over. I’m just so confused right now. It’s as if my brain and heart are all jumbled up.”

Thomas smiled listen to her story, just glad she was ok and he had been out there. Thomas toke another sip of his pumpkin juice before he started to speak. "Well next time you walk around just make sure to stay away from the lake.” He said smiling. "At lest till you learn to swim or float." He said laughing a little. He finished off his pumpkin juice and got up from his seat. "I think it's time you got some rest." He said looking down at her lying on the bed. "I'll be back in the morning if you’re awake, now get some sleep and get better." He said smiling.

Rosaliz listened to Thomas. "He had been right, that she needed rest." The thing was she couldn't sleep. It would be ever harder with the cold of hers. But she knew he was tired, so she thought she'd give it a shot. closing her eyes she said "Goddnight Thomas" waiting for Tomarrow to arise.

Thomas made it back to the common room then made his way to his bed and fell on it and closed his eyes. "What a day." He said to himself falling asleep. Thomas woke up to the sounds of other people getting out of there beds. He didn't feel like getting up so he rolled around in his bed for a few more minutes trying to get back to sleep but couldn't so he got up and got changed. He walked down to the great hall after he got changed and got something to eat. After eating some breakfast and taking a bit of toast with him and a few pieces of toast in his other hand, Thomas started his way to the hospital wing.

Thomas walked into the hospital wing and looked over at where Rosaliz bed was and could tell she was still there he just couldn't tell if she was awake or not so he made his was over there and sat downin the chair next to her. "You asleep or just trying to make me go away." He said smiling.

Rosaliz had been up since 4 am. It had been still dark outside but she still was willing to take chances. She got out of bed and started skipping around the hospital wing, singing "I'm, singing in the rain, just singing in the rain..." She then heared somebody foots steps, coming down the hall. It was scowling. Yes scowling Madam Pomfrey had cought her up this early and yelled at her for not being in bed. She had said that she was still to to be even moving. Rosaliz got so scared and ran into her bed under the covers. She didn't move every hour or so she had seen Madam Pomfrey chack if she had been awake or not. SInce she wanted her to get enough rest. By now the sun had been up. Rosaliz had heared some foot steps. Idmediatley she heared to Thoma's voice. What a relief. She was glad it wasn't Madam Pomfrey. Opening her eyes she had seen Thomas she got up from her bed and gave him a hug. What a friend he was. A best friend. Smiling she looked at him and siad "I would never make you go away, I was just afraid you were Madam Pomfry. SHe has been mad at me recently. Mainly since I was up around four in the mourning skipping around the beds and stuff. I put some of medical clothing on. Like dress up. It was really fun." She said giggling. "I'm glad she didn't catch me doing that"

Thomas was a little shocked when she hugged him but hugged back making sure not to get any of the toast on her back. She started to explain what happened last night after he left. He then started to crack up just thinking about Rosaliz hopping around the hospital wing and madam Pomfrey yelling at her he could stop laughing for a second after awhile he finally stopped. He put he toast on the table next to her bed and smiled. "I thought you might want some food. I know how back some of this hospital food can be." He said laughing then looking around to make sure no one was still asleep.

He looked back at Rosaliz still smiling. "So your leg feel any better?" He said then thought for a second. "Never mind if you were skipping around last night you should be fine, so you going to fake sick just to get of going to class?" He said wishing he could do the same.

Rosaliz looked at Thomas. She thought it was sweet that he brought her some toast.
"Yes my leg feels better. It doesn't feel completly healed but well enough to support my weight. When Madam Pomfrey asks if I was up earlier I'll just say she'd proabaly just dreamt it. so she never suspect a thing." she replied. She giggled a bit more thinking about skipping once more but was afraid that her chances of getting seen by anybody else would be a greater risk. She took a bit of her toast. It was better than notting. Rosaliz was for sure that Madam Pomfrey was sleeping and she'd wouldn't have breakfest in three to four hours later. Sitting in her bed she looked at Thomas and said "What are you going to do today?"
