I know you told us not to write down all of that on the letter, but it just feels weird not putting everything down. I just want to be sure it gets to you and that's the only way I feel comfortable and certain that it will reach you safely. I got your last letter or owl whatever you call it and I am disturbed by the turn of events at the school. I'm worried about you honey and I wish I was there to protect you, though I know you're a growing boy and you're old enough to take care of yourself. As for this summer, I have a surprise, I wanted to wait to tell you, but your father thought I should tell you now. We're going to take a vacation to New York City in America. Your father said he's willing to take you to a baseball game. The Yankees, I believe is what your father said, but you would know better than I would about what team it is. I still don't see your father's or your obsession with such sports, but I guess I'm just an old fashioned woman. Anyway, I just thought I'd tell you the news. I hope this gets to you. If it doesn't I'll try again, I just wish this school would accept real letters instead of this whole owl thing. Anyway, love you honey and hope you're being safe! I mean that to, don't do anything crazy!
