My Darling Camille,
Hello, baby girl. I'm sorry I haven't written in so long. Life has just been hectic as you very well know. I have however read every one of your letters. Each one makes me more proud of how you have matured as a writer. You are really growing up Cam. I know you hate it when I call you that, but it's not my fault that's what you called yourself when you were three. In some ways you seem the exact same baby girl that used to laugh at the lights as I flickered the switch and cry when her teddy bear received one mark of dirt. In other ways you are so much different. You know how to stand your ground now and it seems at times that you can take care of yourself without me. Your grown up now Cam. Your a beautiful young lady and I know you are acting that way at Hogwarts.
Well, I guess I have put off the truth in this letter sine the moment I wrote My. There is more to this not other than the fact that I wish to write to. Which I do, don't get me wrong. But, there is more than that. You have known for a year now that your mother and I are living in separate houses. She is not the women I married and you known as well as I that this decision was mostly hers. However, know that I don't want you to hate her. She is your mother and you can't change that at all. Right now, I have moved from London. I am writing you from the small family cottage right outside of Versailles in France. I know, I have never told you about the cottage. It is small but lovely and belonged to my father's family. I like it much better here than in London. It gives me more space to think and be alone. Your mother of course, is still in the London Residence. She is fine and her business is doing well. Although, I'm sure you don't care too much.
Camille, you know I love you dearly, but you can't hate your mother forever. She gave birth to you and just because the two of you have never seen eye to eye doesn't mean a thing. You can't change your family Cam. You should know this by now. Even though I know how much you have mentally grown, you still have much to learn about life. I must ask that this weekend you come to the cottage. I have more to tell you and it will be much easier to say in person than in a letter. Please, don't talk to your mother until you know the story. I don't want you to become angry without knowing the truth. I included a small piece of parchment explaining how to get to the cottage. I look very much forward to feeing you.
Your father,
Van
