I know you have heard of your father's condition but now it is less serious. Abby Gunner, one of your father's healers has managed to wake him up from the coma he was in for two weeks. Unfortunately, he has forgotten you and anybody else he knew before the attack. He can no longer work as an auror , but if he makes a full recovery and remembers everybody, he might as well. To let you know do not get your hopes up. This may not happen.

Hi mom and dad! This year of Hogwarts is being a blast! Well, except for the attacks of course. Now dad, I know you don't remember me but I'm your daughter Leah. I love you dearly and wish those Death Eaters didn't hurt you. And mom tell Kayla and Kyle I love them to pieces. I've met a boy named Derrick ( not my boyfriend) and a girl named Melissa Gunner. Mel is the daughter of Abby Gunner who as you know is the other healer. Mel is very nice and is a Hufflepuff third year. She and Derrick are getting me through these hard times. I love all of you very much and thank Abby for waking up dad. Kisses and hugs!!
