Hello. I am extremely sorry that I have not written recently. I have been very busy with school work and have been trying extra hard to earn points for Slytherin. Father, I did receive your letter at the beginning of the school year. I understand everything you said. Mother, yes, my hair is tangle free. I know you like to ask that question. Send Darmelle best wishes and to keep up her studies because she will need all the practice she can get when she enters Hogwarts next year. I wouldn't want a Montogue to come to school ill educated and not respected. I know you both agree.
Now, I would like to discuss a matter of importance with you. I believe you both have heard of the Ricci family. They are, as you are aware, a noble family just like our own. Their daughter, Alexandra, is in need of assistance. She has been living with her cousin for years and now she is unable to care for her any longer. Alexandra does not live with the Ricci family for her own reason, but that is besides the point. Alexandra has no place to live outside of Hogwarts. I would like to ask your permission to let her live with us for the time being. I know it is sudden, but we can not let a worthy Slytherin go on the streets. Alexandra would not be a problem at all. She is rather quiet and calm. She is a bright girl raised by a good family. I think she deserves a home and am hoping she can live with us for the time being. Please respond to my letter. I will of course be home for the holidays. See you then.
Your loving daughter,
Aubree
