Sadie ran all the way up to the owlery. She couldn't wait to get her letter sent off. She was doing the one thing that she had looked forward to over the summer. She was finally going to be able to get her broom.
Sadie had discussed which broom to order the night before, and now Sadie couldn't wait to get her broom, so she could get some practice in.
Sadie finally made it up to the owlery, and looked around. She spotted one snowy owl, but looking at it really closely she noticed that it wasn't the particular owl she was looking for. She looked around a little more, and finally found her owl, Colena. She called the beautiful owl to her, and gave it a treat. Then she tied the letter around the owl's leg, and sent it on it's way. She hoped that her broom wouldn't take long to come back to her.
